  1. Killing is too good. Torture may be an unreliable way to get information, it can be a GREAT deterrent for others who might think of doing the same things. Then... Cut the word "RAPIST" across his face so he'll never forget, and others will know what he is when they first meet him.
  2. Same here. Don't get me wrong, I'm not complaining about cheap gas. My subies don't get the greatest mileage. But when I fill up at $1.80/gal for 94 octane, it does make me think it's too good to be true.
  3. To be serious though, it's class is a compact, inexpensive, FWD econobox. Being tallest of the midgets still means you're a midget; even if you change your clothes. No matter how good the handling is, it's nowhere near what the R8 is. As it is, there's a few FWD cars I'd rather have in a race: Neon Mini Integra (RSX)

    Wheres home?

+1 Cool thing with the PS3 is that it lets you copy your saved game data to a regular USB drive.
  5. I think the problem that a lot of people are having is that, with this current streetracing witchhunt, is that in this situation, you'd be required to prove your innocence when it should be the other way around. Frankly, I'm getting a little leery about driving my WRX around with all the stickers on it. I don't speed and I obey traffic laws and I certainly don't street race at all. But if a cop is feeling a little itchy some day, I worry that I'll be called a street racer and I'll have to prove I'm not. THat's not the way it's supposed to work.
  6. What's really crazy is that those trucks are pushing over 100lbs of boost!
  7. Welcome to the idiocy of the US legal system brought on by people inability to take responsibility for their own actions. There precedents and laws on the books that state that if someone leaves a location drunk and then gets into an accident, the owner of that location is responsible. I'm pretty sure I've heard of people getting dunk at a bar, then getting in an accident on the way home, and then suing the bar for their own idiocy. NOTE: "locations" includes private residences too.
  8. Weak Sauce. Watch the one on the left when it launches.
  9. So, someone spent $50k to get a FWD R8 lookalike with less than 200hp and the handling of a turd? Wow... just.. wow.. That car's a road hazard... If I ever saw it, I think I'd laugh so hard I'd drive off the road.
  10. The big question is.. Where did the hammer go? And did it ever fall back to earth?
  11. Norton SystemWorks is a software suite that's designed to make your computer run faster. It automates tasks such as defragging, and it monitors your memory and CPU useage, making adjustments to make sure your computer is running as best it can. Well, that's what it's SUPPOSED to do. So everyone who knows nothing about computers buys it. What it really does, is it bogs the system down with all of it's monitoring and optimization software. Without exception, every computer I've ever worked on that had it installed ran BETTER without it. The usual response from the owner is "Wow, my computer is so much faster now!" and I haven't even removed any spyware or scanned for viruses yet..
  12. How'd I guess you had that installed?

    Busted!

Grass grows, Birds fly, Sun shines...
  14. No kidding.. Thankfully, the FAA actually takes licensing seriously, unlike the BMV.
  15. Remove Norton SystemWorks.

Obama becomes PEOTUS, leaves a senate seat vacant. Gov. of IL starts to use his authority to appoint a replacement as leverage to get money. US gov invesstigates him by bugging his office and tapping his phone. etc etc
  17. Counter-intuitive, I know. However, upwards is also how the wings fold on aircraft carrier-based planes since WWII. So there's got to be some trick to keeping them unfolded reliably.
  18. Torque tapers with RPM. He probably could have shifted it and made more MPH but lost some time..
  19. I was a bit pissed until I read the article.. Jail's a good place for him.
  20. repost. http://www.columbusracing.com/forums/showthread.php?t=58935&highlight=electric But it's a great example of why I'm not all that concerned about switching to electric cars. Range is iffy... But motor tech is great now and only getting better. 100% torque at 0rpm, and insanely high redlines. Launch like a Mofo and do the whole 1/4 in one gear. I bet an electric car would make a good drift car too. AutoX? Not only do you have tons of low-end torque, but you can distribute the weight in the car better. I think there's going to be plenty of room for tuners and enthusiasts with electric cars. Imagine NOS capacitors......
  21. What if the previous photo they have in the database has them smiling or wearing glasses? Seems like the software will kick it back as fraudulent. Also, what if the person ALWAYS wears glasses? Will they have to take them off every time they show their photo ID? Face lifts? Colored Contacts? Different Makeup? Seems like this facial recognition software needs some work before it should be depended on.
  22. You know what's f'n HILARIOUS? Watching these dumb kids with sagging pants try to run from the cops. I saw one video where the idiot tried to jump a fence and was left hanging upside down on the other side by his baggy pants! How "gangsta" can you be if you can't outrun the cops?? Honestly, I see all these silly fashion trends and I have to think that these Hip Hop artists have bets with each other on who can start the stupidest trend and have kids actually think they're cool doing it. I bet it's actually a powergame with those artists. "Hey man, check this out: I bet I can get kids to start wearing their hats off-center like some dumb country hick." "Oh I can top that! I bet I can get 'em to wear their pants so low their ass hangs out!" "I can top both of you. I'll get them to paste cheap jewelry to their front teeth so they look like horses!" Later: HAHAHA! I can't believe they're actually doing it! What should we do next?
  23. It's people like that who make it nearly impossible to insure Stage Rally in the US. That stupid woman who nearly stepped out in front of that car probably would have sued in the US.. Luckily NASA and RallyAmerica have managed to find a way to run in the US.
