  1. Fixed. I'll take your $20 challenge, if you agree to race me on my turf for $20: http://www.zoto.com/ilikeitsideways/img/600x600x0/a5ef7fea942cc413248958131d71baf9.jpg
  2. I've decided to go to the WOR 2-day RallyX 8/16-8/17. If anyone would like to check out RallyX, you're welcome to tag along and come watch, or even come race. WOR has a "Rental Car" that you can drive for the day for $25 (in addition to the regular registration fees). So if you want to try RallyX but don't want to commit your car just yet, you can get a taste of it. Last race there was a newbie who tried out the Rental Car. He was talking about a new car he was getting that he was planning to AutoX. After the race, he was thinking of how to modify it to run RallyX. Both days will have races, but you don't have to attend both to race. If you just want to have some fun in the dirt, you can come whichever day you like. I'll be hitting the road 7:30-8:00am Sat morning, and will be camping on-site. You'll know me by the crazy blue bugeye with all the stickers.
  3. Roll those rear fenders and put some 9" rims and 255s on that thing!
  4. Put street tires on Buschur's Evo also, and it'll do that. At the Pinks All-Out filming at Norwalk the evo did a 4-wheel burnout. Besides, when is it good to spin up the tires when drag racing? If anything, it means the 4WD system and suspension in that tuck sucks since it can't hook up. The truck's in 2WD. I'm pretty sure 90% of the RWD cars here can do this. I'm not putting down fast diesels, just not seeing what is so impressive over a car.
  5. Looks like the bastard offspring of a Vette and an Elise.
  6. Maybe.. But if you were a professional detailer, that's actually a good buy. You get free refills for life! Zymol has one other product like that, but has two tubs inside. I think that's a bit more expensive.
  7. A friend of mine send me these links of absolutely unbelieveable detail jobs. There are pics where you'll think the shot is of a piece of chrome, but it's actually a painted panel. One of a kind DB6 Mk2 Nearly new 911 Turbo
  8. Wing and headlights must go... DO a s15 front end swap though.. S15 front + fastback rear = sexy
  9. What kind of Gs can the best track motorcycles pull? Whatever the Formula 1 equivalent is in the motorcycle racing worl; the pinnacle of performance, how many Gs can they pull in a flat corner? As always.. just curious.
  10. I'm not defending either side. I used to do a lot of cycling in the past. When Critical Mass was first created, it was a good idea. Unfortunately, nowadays it's an exscuse for people to go out and make trouble under the shield of a peaceful protest or a "green" statement. I'm not saying all critical mass riders are troublemakers. I'm sure most aren't. But there are a lot of troublemakers who are critical mass riders, and the organizers aren't doing anything to stop them. I don't know what went on off-camera, so I'm not saying either one was at fault. I'm jsut saying that there is a good chance that the cyclist provoked the cop either outside the camera's view, or on a previous pass. This isn't as clear-cut as it may seem.
  11. They do great work, and I really recommend them. However, I hear they've been smokinig around/in the cars while they work. You may want to just ask them not to if you take the car there. Otherwise, they do great work.
  12. Yeah, I'd drive that.
  13. I haven't had to deal with WOW's customer service, but I've been more than happy with DirecTV's. But when I was talking about service, I meant the product itself. A friend of mine has WOW at his house and it's just awful. They just have a basic service, but it looks like they are trying to get channels through an antenna. A good third of their channels are fuzzy and nearly unwatchable. They've had WOW techs come out multiple times to try and fix it, but it's never been fixed. Now they're waiting for U-verse. I haven't seen U-verse first hand, but one thing that made me wary was that in all the promotional materials I've recieved about it, not once did they use "HD" or High Def. Instead they used the term "Advanced TV". Looking at their website now, I see they're using HD now, but before they didn't which really made me wary.
  14. Well, best in the first half. I was too slow to recognize what I had to do with my suspension in the afternoon. If I had listened to my gut feeling after the first run, I would have held onto my lead, if not fastest time. As for the antenna, I got it back, but the mast is broken. I'm debating whether to have it fixed, or go to another antenna solution since this one didn't work well.
  15. Ford's building a 2-door V8 RWD Fusion? Cool! That'll make a good sleeper. I mean, they do make them since this is STOCK car racing, right?
  16. DirecTV. Best service out there, period. And they are now beta-testing On-Demand. If you have broadband, you can plug your compliant reciever into your home network and try their on-demand. I haven't tried it yet, mostly out of laziness. But they are working to do the one thing Cable has over them, and I'm sure that they'll do it better than Cable. For Internet, I have TW.. *shrug* It's not too expensive and when it's all said and done, I'll be paying about the same as TW TV+Internet but with TONS more HD channels, better service, clearer signal, and just an overall happier experience. Cable sucks. They have no wish to provide a good service to their customers. It's seem they are banking on people either not switching to Satellite, or on those that can't.
  17. You know you've found a great product when the site has a "hatemail" link.
  18. RallyX is like any form of racing; you have to be willing to break it, to make it. But if you're just out there for fun, you don't have to beat on your car. To a point, RallyX can be easier on your car than AutoX since there's less side-loads on the car. But overall, it's a hell of a lot of FUN! You don't need anything to race RallyX except a car and a valid driver's license. Every race I've gone to has had loaner helmets even. Like anything, your car has to pass tech, but all that means is that you have belts, good wheel bearings, a battery that's secured, and nothing that can get under your brake pedal. OVR is the local region, you can find their website at http://www.ovr-scca.org/ I also go to races in the Dayton area which is the Western Ohio Region ( http://www.worscca.org/ ) And sometimes to the Detroit Region ) http://www.detroit-scca.org/ ) You can find information, schedules, and registration from those websites. I don't pay as close attention to AUtoX, but there should be plenty of those. FOr RallyX, OVR is on hiatus (So we don't fill your drag racing engines full of dust) until September, but WOR is having a two-day event August 16th and 17th. To get full points, you have to be there both days, but you can only show up for one day if you just want to have fun. Then there's another 2-day for OVR in September, and ANOTHER 2-day in MI in Oct. Finally, the national championship is in Nashville at the end of October which is a 3-day event. Most RallyXes are one-day events like AutoXes. We're just hitting a bunch of ends and beginnings all at once (end of WOR season, Beginning of OVR season, and a National + end of Divisional in MI). I'm currently trying to decide between going to the WOR 2-day on the 16th and 17th, or going to a new type of event in MI on the 16th. There is a SuperMoto going on that day, and the organizer wants to have an exhibition of rally cars on the course so he's asking for rally-looking cars to come race and there's some good prize money on the line. I can't decide. The new event sounds like fun (80% tarmac, 20% dirt) and the possible money for the top 5 places is nice. But WOR is just a GREAT region for RallyX and Smoke and Mirrors raceway is just a fun track. If anyone has any questions about RallyX, and/or would like some help to get started, please feel free to PM me. I'm more than happy to help.
  19. A friend of mine opens the package, removes the flavor packet and then crumbles the brick. Then, he opens the flavor packet and pours it into the package wit hthe ramen crumbles. Then, holding the package closed, he shakes it until the flavor stuff is evenly distributed inside. Finally, he sits and eats it dry. :barf:
  20. The different scales for Power and Torque don't help....

  22. The movie was never in high-def, so a blu-ray copy will just be the DVD that's been upscaled on the disc already. If your player does good upscaling already, just enjoy your DVD.
