  1. Takes off [/PLANE ON A CONVEYOR BELT]
  2. As per my previous post, they didn't collide any particles yet! All they've done is circulatea beam. It's like sending civil trucks through a new tunnel before they open it up to commuter traffic.
  3. Yeah, I'm not so sure Micro Black Holes could really do the kind of damage people think... However, Vacuum Bubbles on the other hand... http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Quantum_Vacuum Vacuum refers to the energy state, not the lack of air, or that noisy thing hiding in your closet. To put it simply, If our universe isn't at the lowest energy state like we believe it is, and is in fact a "false" vacuum, a Vacuum Bubble can literally *pop* our reality. And, in a literal instant, Earth would cease to exist. Good new is, if it happens, we'll never know. btw, First impacts won't be until October some time, and Full Power won't be hit until sometime in... oh... 2012.
  4. A bump for a reminder. THis weekend 9/13 and 9/14 OVR is holding a divisional RallyX event. Show up for one day or both, whichever is convienient.
  5. shouldn't this be a subforum under the Kitchen?
  6. I've already decided not to fly any more. They've had to cost cut so much, I'm worried where they've really cut corners. As it is, there are pilots that are refusing to fly some routes because the airlines won't let them put a reasonable safey margin of fuel on board. Screw it, I'll drive where I want to go. It's longer, but cheaper too.
  7. So none of this is Bush's fault?
  8. You think that's weird, check out his website.
  9. I think his point, though not well worded, is that Faith is not for Schools to teach. That's what religion is for, and it should be taught by an appropriate figure. Additionally, it's not for the schools or government to push one particular faith above others. What of the kids who's faith doesn't allow for ID? Science is for explaining the "how." Religion is for explaining the "why." Whenever one tries to explain the other, problems occur.
  10. "ID" is stupid anyways.. Evolution *IS* ID. "ID" proponents just want a puff of smoke and some magic words. They're disappointed that God used such slow and far-reaching and detailed process to make man, and REALLY want there to have been some Gandalf-like magic involved.
  11. THIS right here, is the problem with our election process right now, and the reason why we keep getting craptastic candidates. I'm going to vote for Paul. It doesn't matter whether McCain or Obama get in, they're BOTH going to fuck our country over at a time when it can LEAST afford it. And why are we arguing over books and ID? Who's going to solve the problem in the middle east? Who's going to fix our energy crisis? Fuck it. BOTH of them are going to cloud the issue with stuff like books and ID and wave their minorities about so that the public doesn't notce that NEITHER have a plan, or their plans are hamstrung by a moronic need to be OPPOSITE the other guy. Fuck Obama, Fuck McCain, Fuck our politics... Maybe now's the time to follow my dream of living in a shack out side the Nuremburgring.
  12. Last night was Pinks All Outtakes. Tonight is the actual Pinks All Out.
  13. Neat. But I'd rather have this: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=k5VDCKIl7ew Here's one with a turbo: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=QuS4zIRPH_Y

    Bread

Screw the anti-bread lobbyists! You can have my bread when you pry it out of my cold dead hand, along with the dihydrogen monoxide in my other hand!
  15. +1 At that price point it's an absolutely pointless car. If they bring it to market at that price, then GM must be banking on "Green" being the new prestige thing. If GM can't find a way to get this into the hands of people who really NEED the gas savings, then they are doomed. The Volt is GM's chance to take the "green" crown from Toyota and have a car that people will line up to buy. Unless they use their sway with the government to get the cost down, the Volt will flop. And if the Volt flops, it's possible that GM will follow it. The good news is that all the clamor for a plug-in hybrid will grab the attention of a company that CAN sell it to the tax brackets that need it.
  16. Yeah, he didn't deserve to die... Be scared for his life, yes. Get the shit beat out of him, yes. Some people won't realize that their actions have consequences until they are made to fear for their life.

  19. Key word is "supposed." I think I remember hearing that the GTR was on slicks. Doesn't matter, until there is a standard and an independant doing the timing, no time is official. I won't deny that these cars did the 'Ring in a little over 7 minutes, but when it comes down to seconds or fractions thereof, there's no reliable proof.
  20. So what if you have a straight-up electric car? That's not a hybrid, but it uses less petroleum.. Would it get towed?
