Wow... What's really impressive is their attention to detail in their apparent lack of attention ot detail..

When you have a baby like that, I think someone's telling you "DON'T BREED!" ...yeah, I'm going to hell too.
-
I wonder what a couple feet of it would do.. say, for a falling person? If your aim's good, maybe skydiving without a parachute?
-
I've also heard that, in order to not lose sponsors, if they don't like a car they won't review it. FAIL
-
Damn... THat's nice. Probably gets great mileage also... I've been pondering getting another corolla.. 30+ mpg was nice to have.

500AWHP will need an engine build regardless if it's an Evo, STI, or WRX. Your exhaust will fit on any 04-07 STI. If you do go STI, get an 05-07. They changed a lot going to the 05, including the suspension. Up to you man. You've put a lot into your bugeye, and unfortunately, you won't get much of it back.

The difference in weight between the TE37 and a cheap cast knockoff of similar design is 8-10lbs. That's about 30-40lbs of unsprung rotational weight. I'll definately be able to tell the difference. And as to why pull the stickers off? Because blue and white stickers on an all black car would look bad. I didn't build the car to show off, I built it to DRIVE. Now I *might* be able to get reproductions of the decals in black with a red outline. THOSE I might use.

Drifting an STI? Not mine. You want the bright ORANGE one on the other side of the pacific. I got the TE37s because I wanted quality, strength, and the same or less weight than the stock rims. Why get new rims if they're a downgrade from the stockers? Also, I plan to hit mid-ohio now and then and I wanted a set of rims I could trust. Ask Thorne about the kind of driving my cars see.

Here's a pilot with some huge balls: http://imageevent.com/gmockrcpilot/redbull?p=145&n=1&m=-1&c=3&l=0&w=4&s=0&z=3

Well, semantics and slang anyways.. Regardless, a sunken face TE37 would look great, but isn't going to happen on an 04-07 STI without serious work. We may start seeing them on 08s due to the higher clearances and lower initial offset. Right now I'm factory-limited in the rear at ~ -1.4 in the rear. I'm thinking of adding camber bolts to the rear so I can get some adjustment and even out the camber left to right and maybe run about -1.5 to -1.8 depending... The front's not an issue. I'm currently at -2.0 but thinking of going to -2.5 (-3.5 is my current max but overkill for the street.) My car's bult to handle great while looking good. Priorities.... Either way, I can't wait to get these rims on... now if only I could get a hold of a set of Dunlop Direzza Z1 Star Specs in 255/35-18.

How well does the skin hold up to air pressure? What about someone deciding to go at your car with a box cutter? It looks awesome, and I love the idea.. I just think it won't be practical. Which is too bad, because I'd love to have a car like that. No more fender-benders if your fenders bend.
-
Those pictures are horrible.. Either he's incompetant at taking photos, or he's hiding something.
-
Yeah, they're at +40 now. I think the "GTR face" starts at 30 or something like that. Right now, however, with tires, they'll be flush enough that I'll have to trim or pull the fenders. To fit a deep dish offset I'd have to run lots of neg camber, pull/hammer the rear fender, and rid on uncomfortably stiff coilovers. There is a slight dish to them, the photos make them look convex. And I'm going to remove the stickers. They just won't look right on the car.

I wouldn't neccesarily call it elitist. I think it stems from use. The side loads from drifting or sustained high-g cornering can really test a rim's construction. For the average joe that just puts around town and shows off his rims, then rotas and other cheap rims should be fine. But if you're actually performance driving in a manner that puts large side loads on the rim, then you should look into getting a quality rim.

Yeah. Howevefr, he did come up with Pinks, Pinks All-Out, All outtakes, Passtime, Drag Race high, and a couple others I don't remember. For someone who doesn't know cars, he does come up with some good ideas for car shows.

I'm keeping the wing. I love that huge thing, and I also think the impreza looks unfinished without a wing. I'm changing the rims though... to these: http://farm4.static.flickr.com/3275/2553990932_94f32f4ac2.jpg http://farm4.static.flickr.com/3147/2553166629_4d5ea0068d.jpg http://farm4.static.flickr.com/3137/2553985408_0505d5ef69.jpg I'm pretty sure these are the only set of Gloss Black TE37s in this fitment in the US. Possibly the only set in the world. Took me 8 freakin' months to get them custom made. Oh, and the decals are coming off the rims. I couldn't resist a little bling however: http://farm4.static.flickr.com/3268/2553162585_0873feeedd.jpg

Pretty much everything I own, if I could get it in black, is. My friends say I'm boring, but it really makes laundry easy. But my car is all black because I want it that way, not because I'm following a trend. It just happens there's other like-minded people out there. The current fad could be for all WHITE cars, and mine would still be black.

Lots of pressure. I think some of them forgot to set their transbrake and suddenly found themselves moving when they tried to preload. The jet cars were crazy. It was like someone shooting guns right next to me, and that's just during staging. At launch it was like someone setting off a couple bombs. The Top Fuel dragster was unbelieveable.. Literally, I've never felt anything like it. When it launched, I couldn't focus on anything because my eyeballs were vibrating in their sockets. How that much energy doesn't turn the engine and the rest of the car into sharpnel and kill the spectators, I have no idea. 8000 f'n horsepower! I have a newfound respect for those drivers... ...and people in the military who have withstood an artillery barrage, because that's the only thing I can think of that might compare.

His engine destroyed a rod bearing somehow. The noise started when he was driving through an intersection. He wasn't really beating on it. Certainly not enough to cause this. So the current theory is that his pickup tube broke (happens sometimes to subies..) He's getting a stock 2.5L shortblock. He's not building it up so, the stock shorty will be stout enough. It's no secret who's doing it. The car is at ZB's shop. Though there's some drahma going on surrounding that fact. Whatever. Your build will defiantely bee the big one. This was a repair that turned into an upgrade because the 2.5L short block was only $35 or so more expensive than the 2.0L.

WE'll see. They seem to get pissed if people start second-guessing them.
-
Pak's going to beat you to it.

No mention of price, but I'm ALL over it if the price is reasonable. Finally a good looking electric car. Anyone know if it's RWD or FWD? I'm guessing the latter

I'll be there to watch, both days. I'm in the Summit section.. or "Smoking Section" as I like to call it. I think there are still general admission tickets available.

Not bad.. THe video started out weird.. But then I saw the sweaters and flannel and thought, "Great... ANother pansy-ass, ball-less alternative song whining about some girl or something.." Needless to say, I was surprised.
