  1. When I moved out here, I was expecting a lot more snowfall than the Cape. So far I've been disappointed. But the last couple days were nice. But I'm gathering from this thread that this is extremely rare. Oh well. At least the summer is getting closer.
  2. Very impressive. You don't often see drag racers carry the front wheels so smoothly.
  3. Then what's in it? The Viper V10? My statement still stands.. It's a minivan.
  4. Sheesh, the LS1 demotivator will have be changed to a Hemi demotivator. Dodge will stick it in anything apparently. And no, sticking a Hemi in a Minivan does NOT make it cool. It's still a MINIVAN! The Jeep thing is weird.. I didn't se any apparent placement for the front wheels of the bikes. It's not very Jeep-like. I don't know if that was the actualy Bumblebee. The movie car drove and that one doesn't have any brake calipers. Maybe it was a non-moving stand-in for stationary shots. *shrug*

    Sledding?

There's always Trashbags and Pam. Inflatable water tubes, kiddie pools, and floats/rafts work also. But they aren't as durable as real sleds so you'll likely puncture them eventually. But Pam them up and they'll fly down the hill.

    during sex

300 during sex? This sounds like a take off of the fortune cookie tradition of adding "in bed." after the fortune.
  7. Big Paragraph is Big. Maybe when I'm more awake..
  8. Wait... What? http://i156.photobucket.com/albums/t30/embrulha/misc/min_silly_walks.jpg
  9. That looks like a lot of fun; both the racing and the engineering. I really wish I had the Experience/Skills and/or Money to get into something like this.
  10. If you read it through, they're not trying to find a cure. Or even to test new cures. Nope. The test is to find out which cure works the FASTEST. Woot! Tax dollars at work!
  11. Nice! But that's a tiny wheelbase, both length and width. What series is this for?
  12. Here's the more important question: What's the garage like? Personally, I like carpet in my home. But I'm not real picky. If a place has a roof that doesn't leak, everything works, and there's no insects or mold, I'm pretty happy.
  13. If I remember correctly: The lid helps because you no longer have those silencer growths hanging off the airpath and causing turbulence. So one lid is going to work much the same as another. The free Ram Air mod is good for the non-WS6 models because of the smaller opening at the front of the airbox, and lack of hood intake. The WS6 models have a much larger front opening, plus the hood intakes, so it isn't as big of a deal. You will heat-soak when stationary as warm air from your radiator will rise into the intake. But the moment you get moving, you'll ingest cool air again. The LS1 loves to breathe, so I felt that anything to help that is a good thing. So I'd probably do both. But also remember that this is 10 year old expereince talking. Any updates/improvements in the last decade I'm not familiar with. For example, removing the flow straightener infront of the MAF was considered a good mod at one point. Now I know how wrong that is.
  14. http://www.msnbc.msn.com/id/23490612/wid/11915773?GT1=31036 It's just a mosquito bite.
  15. And meanwhile they can get cars on the lift it's not occupying to do more work and earn more money. Granted it was in, what looked like, an odd spot on the garage floor; right in the middle of everything. But jackstands or lift, it's not going anywhere.
  16. Wow, this is straight out of ten-years-ago for me. Back then, the SLP lid and free ram air mod were the things to do. There was even one company that made an airbox lid that was clear.
  17. I could try to pass my car off as a RB320, or a Type 25.... yeah.......
  18. Out of curiosity, what is the alternative?
  19. It's amazing how much the Democratic party has screwed this up. They went from a shoe-in win to an election that's up in the air. The dems almost deserve to lose for such a screwup. I hate politics. I hate polititians. I hate idiots. A trifecta of distaste.
  20. At least it's harder to tell that Lambo cheaped out on the rims. It sucks too, because I really like Lamborghini. But I'd never have thought they'd do something that cheap.
  21. Making me a little homesick for the Cape. I thought I was sick of all that nautical stuff, but I guess I do miss it a bit. But I love my cars and the ample opportunity to play with them out here more.
  22. what's amazing is that in order for the car to roll, you're talking about 100% weight transfer, and at enough momentum to overcome gravity's pull on the CG to move it past the outside wheels. That's just a scary equasion. edit to add: I've always thought that most AutoX roll cages were performance mods in the guise of a safety device. But apparently they're a good idea if you're in an r-comp tire class.
  23. Sweet. It'll be cool to see a DSM out there along with the GT-Four that's been showing up.
  24. HOLY S#!T I had heard that stock class AutoXers could sometimes lift both inner tires, but I didn't think they had enough force to go that high. I stand corrected.
