  1. But I do wonder how much of that was still Toyota and how much of it was custom-made parts (likely made in the US)? The head is clearly not original, nor the turbo, or reciprocating assembly. But what about the block? I'm not familiar enough with the finer points of this class of racing. Does it still have the original block, or is it a custom milled block built to be 2JZ-like? I'm actually curious here. But if my suspicions are correct, I'll have to side with the "This is not an import" crowd.
  2. I've never been a huge mustang fan, but the latest ones are pretty good. This one, however, I'd love to drive: http://www.madsensgarage.com/cars/1
  3. Ducati's V8. Not just a theory, here's a 4 cylinder version in action: An article about it: http://thekneeslider.com/ducati-elenore-v8-update/
  4. Those speeding tickets aren't going to write themselves!
  5. This. If anyone here parks a trailer, lock that thing down. If you can't chain it, use a coupler lock and a wheel boot.

  7. Oh I can't run either. It's just instant fatigue for me. I was talking about recumbents. After riding one for the summer, I can't see a good reason to go back to a traditional bike as my primary.
  8. I think I might make the jump from Subaru to Toyota.
  9. I'd tell you to come to the Dark (dork?) Side where regular clothes aren't so bad and bad joints aren't an issue , but the cost of admission is above your budget.
  10. There are a lot of really nice trails in ohio too.
  11. I was looking into strava, but I keep seeing complaints of trolls. I'm not serious enough about my riding to deal with that.
  12. I have a 60cm 2013 Trek 1.2 with only 400 miles on it. I also have two stems to adjust the fit. I'd let it go for $500. Let me know if you want to check it out.
  13. Fuck Cancer. Awesome job for her! Grats.
  14. I've used a few different places over the years. Quality Window Tint: Used to be the go-to guys. But something changed in the last few years. It looks like they scaled WAY back. It's tough to get an appointment, and the work was good, but not great. I rate them a "Meh" these days. A2Z: Friendly guys, and they do a good job. My only issues is that one of the guys was wearing a big gold chain bracelet while he worked on my car. There were no obvious scratches, but it should be common sense to remove all loose jewelry when working around a car. Automotive Appearance Pros: Good guys, they've never disappointed me when it came to vinyl work. Tough hours to work around however. My only complaint was that I let them talk me down from ceramic tint to dyed film and I completely regretted it afterwards. But that was my choice not to stick to my decision. (BTW, get the good ceramic tint, it's worth the extra $$) Performance Auto Spa: Just had them do my latest car. Good work, I'm very happy with the result. They're the only shop where I didn't wait around for the car, so I can't comment on their practices. But not only did they tint the car, they gave it a quick detail too! Right now if I had to tint another car, I'd take it to Performance.
  15. Seems weird to type those two words together, but there they are, and here's the video: Sounds good.
  16. I vote for the WRX. 60K is just well broken in. There are some really good cars out there. I picked up a 2003 with 93K and it was a fantastic car. Drove it to over 130K as an active RallyX car with the stock engine and turbo. Only needed oil changes and an upper radiator hose.
  17. Sorry, if I were to drop Lambo money on a Lambo, I want it to LOOK like a Lambo. If it's not fit to be a poster on a kid's wall, it's not a Lamborghini. The other exotic manufacturers can make the refined and understated cars. Lamborghinis need to have in-your-face styling, IMO. That's why I think the Veneno is Bitchin'.
  18. The guys at work have flatbed tow trucks haul their toolboxes around.
  19. Don't go catless on the down pipe for one. I really liked the MadDad Whisper, but I'm not 100% sure on Forester fitment. If the exhausts are the same, you could also go with a piecemeal approach and use a STI take off axle back. Clearance wise, a stock WRX should have plenty of ride height for anything but foot deep snow and heavily rutted dirt roads. I don’t know what you encounter out there. If you think that might be too low, King Springs makes Forester specific lowering springs that won't lower you as much.
  20. Stay away from vent to atmosphere BOVs and intakes. Get someone's take-off catless up pipe (STIs and later Leggys), do a turbo-back exhaust, and get a Stage 2 tune and you're golden. Stay away from aftermarket up-pipes as best you can. They tend to be too wide and they kill your spool. If you want to lower it, check out the forester forum for the details, but essentially you can get someone's WRX take-off struts and springs and chop a couple inches off the ride height while maintaining a good ride and plenty of clearance for OH snow.
  21. Yeah, not a fan of shooters with controllers. I'll wait for it to hit PC and probabaly pick it up on a Steam sale.
