  1. How do you know if the Forever Alone meme was meant for you....
  2. You didn't catch the wasabi burp. That's what really killed him. :lolguy:
  3. Ok, here's someone really pushing the limits of what can fit: 275s!! http://farm8.staticflickr.com/7112/7706992148_9842f8a052_b.jpg http://farm9.staticflickr.com/8014/7706993470_023a0ace76_b.jpg http://farm8.staticflickr.com/7137/7706990486_f0606dfc64_b.jpg http://farm8.staticflickr.com/7108/7706991342_833fbdb354_b.jpg http://farm8.staticflickr.com/7126/7706991774_7773a6500a_b.jpg
  4. You've got to get one of these and do it up your way. Then we can show both cars at C&C as Function and Form.
  5. I think I prefer my choice. http://farm9.staticflickr.com/8157/7707051384_bd818f5900_c.jpg http://farm8.staticflickr.com/7139/7707049702_27e7ec4367_c.jpg http://farm8.staticflickr.com/7265/7707048052_ea0bc2fe0e_c.jpg http://farm9.staticflickr.com/8424/7707044962_f10d0d1ed4_c.jpg http://farm8.staticflickr.com/7276/7707043444_405cf022a1_c.jpg http://farm9.staticflickr.com/8151/7707053128_7e6bdb4287_c.jpg
  6. Guess I should have gone this route? http://sphotos-b.xx.fbcdn.net/hphotos-ash4/292985_10151963624265048_1398204766_n.jpg
  7. Wow. It takes some effort to toss cases like that.
  8. Yeah, but it lacks impact coming from someone who drives a beetle. :gabe:
  9. If you've found TC105n wheels with both hubcentric rings and caps, I'd love to see it. I'd rather have both, but I was informed by the company I bought these from that it was one or the other with this specific wheel. I have other wheels with both rings and caps, I am quite aware that it is possible. But I was informed that WedsSport, in trying to keep the weight to a minimum with a cast center, milled it in such a way that it was rings or caps, but not both. The guy was willing to send me either, so I'm sure he'd have sold me both if he could. Interesting... I know exactly what you're talking about, but I don't see that at all. I think the sidewalls are sufficiently small to avoid that. There is more pinch than I was expecting, but I don't think it's that bad. I'm trying to make myself see that, and I can't. Hmm.. LOOKS great, but I'm sure it won't handle or ride as well.
  10. It's funny, I've only got maybe three comments total about the missing center caps on my Volks.
  11. The BRZ will see AutoX. If I ever get off my tail and actually get to a HPDE or PDX, I'll use the STI.
  12. No kidding. I ran over a chipmunk the other day and I never saw it come out behind the car. I swear those fenders make small animals and children disappear. RCE's almost a month late on their springs and no word yet. But don't worry, I'm sure I won't be dropping it enough to please the haters.
  13. This is the only spot where I end up like that. I don't do it when I'm at other locations for just that reason. But this is right out front, in the open and way far away from any customer parking. And I don't aim for two spots, I just pull in and park it where I end up since the lines are pretty much gone anyways. Have you seen how long the BRZ/FR-S threads get around here?
  14. Because it elicits excessive reactions from the haters. :lolguy:
  15. This car is like a rolling troll. :gabe:
  16. If I remember correctly, her insurance would assess the damage and come up with a number. If it's like the $3000 example above, you would go to your classic car insurance for the difference. Then your insurance would go after her insurance to cover their payout. ...meanwhile BOTH your insurance premiums go up for the foreseeable future. :fuuuu:
  17. I'm not big fan of pushing the limits of fitment; I don't like too much poke. This setup brings the tires nearly flush with the fenders and looks good IMO. I went from an offset of 53mm on the STI to 40mm and I don't really like how the steering changed. A staggered setup would induce understeer, and the engine doesn't make enough power to justify it anyways. And polished lips only look good on '80s Porsches and various vintage sports cars. I like wheels the look like they *might* be OEM, if an OEM really cared... Here are a couple cell pics that show the contours of the wheels better. http://farm9.staticflickr.com/8160/7705384522_552760e832_c.jpg http://farm9.staticflickr.com/8160/7705410620_4f28ee467e_c.jpg
  18. I haven't had a chance to really put it through its paces, just some esses to scrub the release agent off. But even green they are night and day better. Not even a tiny squeal when I leaned on them. I can't wait to see what they feel like once I get some miles on them.
  19. Too bad they didn't have texting in the 60s, maybe drivers like her would have been killed off and removed from the genepool.
  20. I'll get some pics at better angles that actually come out..
  21. Stock: http://farm6.staticflickr.com/5333/7381695570_9eff00d9b0_c.jpg
  22. The stock wheels are 20.1lbs and stock tires are 21lbs. The new rims are 14.85lbs and the new tires are 24lbs. So I'm saving 2lbs per corner. Again, it's either hubcentric rings or caps, so rings it is. I have the worst luck with center caps anyways. The caps for the Volks on my STI never fit either, I think the centers were milled wrong.
