  1. A little known work of his: The Subaru SVX: http://world-viewer.com/data_images/subaru-svx/subaru-svx-04.jpg
  2. Anyone else getting swamped? In the past two weeks I've received 8 credit card offers from them in the mail. Granted, they seem to have two versions of my name, but that still means 4 per. Seems a bit excessive. I wonder if they'll make it an even 10 by the end of the week.
  3. I'll be there Saturday. Going to be in the BRZ again. It was a lot of fun on Sunday. Now if I could just find someone with some good tires on stock-legal rims...
  4. Reason 1,234,567 why punishments for stuff like this should be more than a short vacation with your ol' buddies at a motel with 3 free meals a day.
  5. It is probably sold by now, but give Hatfield Subaru a call. A guy I know backed out of his BRZ Premium order on Friday.
  6. That car is so dialed in that it was almost anti-climactic.
  7. The body kit/wheels on that is the 5 Axis Designs kit that's available through Scion dealerships. I'm not sure what coilover kit it's using.
  8. It looks like they set the 2JZ way back in the chassis to try and maintain the balance of the car. That's interesting.
  9. I find wasps and wasp nests both interesting and revolting. I'm always torn between looking at how cool they are, and wanting to destroy them with extreme prejudice.
  10. Anyone else watching this show? I'm loving it. I wish there was more focus on the actual work being done, but it's pretty entertaining regardless. Oh and Epic Beard is Epic.
  11. Another one not to my liking, but might be to someone else: http://i992.photobucket.com/albums/af50/ForjWorks/AirRex/FR-S500px.jpg
  12. I agree. My only disagreement was that the GRMN wing was functional, if not optimal.
  13. Here's some lip for you guys: http://www.ft86club.com/forums/attachment.php?attachmentid=9464&stc=1&d=1341023391
  14. At first I thought: "Duh, of course there is!" Then I thought about it for a moment... I wonder that also. I'm not sure how to be certain. I'm sure there's some math somewhere that would figure it out.
  15. Registered for the 1st. See you guys there! I'll be in RTR (CS PAX) with the BRZ, stock tires too. (I'll probably make a fool of myself. It's been 5 years since I've driven a RWD car consistently, and I've never AutoXed a RWD car.)
  16. Looks like the RallyX will be canceled. So I will likely be there Sat. Now which car to bring?
  17. Out of morbid curiosity... What causes death from whipping? Blood loss, or some other physiological trauma?
  18. Might be time for one of those flight-deck rear spoilers. EDIT: Or on second thought, mounting the chutes above the center of gravity might help keep the rear down (but also might lift the nose). Never had to look into mounting parachutes to my slow cars.
  19. Yes I do. I was literally not sure if you were being serious or just making fun of the big wing. Looking at the picture the wing seems to have a pretty big curve to it, but also a high amount of angle to it. The end-plates are far forward, but the center of the wing appears to be in a good position. Thing is, while the air might be cleaner where the endplates are, the wing would still be more effective if it were straight. But I do think it would be effective. This wing is even further forward: http://www.marcadecoche.com/images/Mitsubishi-Lancer-Evolution-WRC0566.jpg But I'm sure this wing has had a lot more wind tunnel time as well. Considering I don't plan to track the BRZ, if I were to do something silly like spend the money for the body kit above, the wing would be for show, or even not on the car. I think it would just as good or better with the simple TRD or 5:AD duckbill.

  21. Hmm... I kinda like this: http://www.ft86club.com/forums/attachment.php?attachmentid=9250&d=1340811443 http://www.ft86club.com/forums/attachment.php?attachmentid=9251&d=1340811443 http://www.ft86club.com/forums/attachment.php?attachmentid=9254&d=1340811443 http://www.ft86club.com/forums/attachment.php?attachmentid=9259&d=1340811443
  22. Except FI creates incredibly high cylinder pressures.. But I can see the difficulty. I'm sure the biggest challenge in engineering a FI FR-S/BRZ is getting it to pass emissions. Apparently not. I thought it was Don.
