  1. Yeah, the black bar over the bumper beam is a styling choice that no one likes. Though Subaru isn't the only company to do that *cough*Audi*cough*.
  2. Yeah, some of he FR-S guys are a bit upset. But most are sticking with the Scion. The options have been pretty well set for a while now. Most of the FR-S buyers knew they weren't likely to get Nav or HIDs and were ok with that. Plus, that $1300 is a good start on rims/tires, coilovers, etc..

  4. The April 21st event has been rescheduled to April 28th! Registration is now open.
  5. Considering they started 4-6 years ago (depending on what you define as the start) and that our dollar has gone into the shitter since, and the inevitiable price creep, mid 20s is pretty much expected. As for the FR-S, it is 24,200 + dest. BRZ Limited has all of that.
  6. Won't be able to make this one. I have to work.
  7. After growing up in Plymouth, MA and Cape Cod, I can confirm that boating attracts a much higher percentage of douche-bags and douche-canoes.
  8. I don't think he can open and close his hands either. His right is taped closed and he jams his wrist into the controls. I couldn't get a good look at this left, but it seemed like that had to be taped around the wheel control. Amazing. It reminds me of a similar setup for a trophy truck. The driver's right hand had a lever for brakes with a motorcycle grip throttle at the top.
  9. Well, supposedly URAS in Japan is going to put a 2JZ into a GT-86. No good pictures yet, and only a half-assed video showing the stripped chassis.
  10. Seems like it. Not sure if that's much better than what BRZ really stands for: Boxer Rwd Zenith :dumb: Oh well.
  11. Not a fan of Jersey... On most national car forums: Thread OP: "My car was just stolen!" First reply: "Are you in New Jersey?" OP: "Yes."

  13. Since I have yet to make a BRZ thread, and I so love watching the haters get their hate on.... :gabe: Apparently, in Japan, marketing is everywhere.. including music videos. http://www.dailymotion.com/video/xmt6bh_kuroki-meisa-breeze-out_music Kuroki Meisa :megusta:
  14. I think there would be fewer noses in the air if that was a LSx swap. However, I think putting that huge lump in the front ruins the car. But since it's for drifting, there's less need for great handling balance. I rather the 600hp EJ swap in the Greddy FR-S.
  15. Always wondered why more people don't just drive away from carjackers..
  16. Sigh.. Well, mine will look very similar to this: http://a2.sphotos.ak.fbcdn.net/hphotos-ak-snc7/s720x720/292134_298129036925601_247419668663205_705611_28633073_n.jpg http://sphotos.xx.fbcdn.net/hphotos-prn1/529376_298128900258948_247419668663205_705609_469443833_n.jpg It's great to see a picture of what I plan. But it sucks to see someone else do it first. Makes me feel like a copy cat.
  17. You know... Without the graphics and a slightly more functional ride height, I could picture Doc driving a car like that.
  18. Way I see it, a guy on a bike is much like a pedestrian when compared to someone in a car. There is no safety structure around the biker. In the skater example, both were on equal footing. But in the video, the driver of the SUV used a 2-ton vehicle in a lethal fashion against an unprotected and unarmed person. When she instigated the situation by blocking what may or may not have been a legal maneuver and was called on it, she reacted by trying to anger the rider further. He may have overreacted by trying to dent her fender, but in no way was he threatening her life. She responded to that by trying to kill him. I don't see that as an appropriate response to a non-lethal reaction to a situation she instigated. She could have reported him. Or driven away and ignored a bad situation. But instead she tried to CRUSH him against another car, then RUN HIM OVER, and finally CUT HIM IN HALF with a lightpole. I can only hope she gets convicted of attempted murder.
  19. Hmm, had sushi for lunch... But really... there's always more room for Sushi...
  20. Guess I'll agree to disagree. It's pretty apparent she initiated by trying to squeeze him with her car. If she hadn't tried to play cop and then escalate the situation when he complained, none of this would have happened. This is why I don't give a shit if someone tailgates me. I just pull over and let them pass because I know I will likely never see their ass again for the rest of my life. If only it were that easy to make other annoyances in life disappear so completely.
  21. Her car is pretty much over the line and angled in. Looks like she tried to block him from lane splitting. He complained, she acted like a bitch, and he kicked her car. Then she proceeded to try and KILL him by crushing him with her car. A scuffed fender is not justification for someone's death. After trying to pin him against another car and failing, she tries to run him over again when he approaches her car. And when he ends up on her hood, she tries to crush him AGAIN against a light pole. That's THREE attempts at murder. I hope he lawyers up and gets her ass put in jail for a long time.
  22. OK, so 360 up front. Minus taxes, that's 180mil conservatively. 150M goes someplace relatively safe to continue generating money into the future. Then I'll put some into buying a few houses on Cape Cod to fix up and rent out. I'll pay off my mother's condo, and either buy my sister a small house or get her housekeeping so she can move back into our father's house. Mom also gets a new convertible with a maintenance-included warranty. Oh and a trust fund for my nephew's education. For myself, a reasonably-sized house, maybe 3 bedrooms, on a good chunk of property that I can host RallyX events on and toss up a barn as a garage/shop. I'll "finish" modding the STI, and get the WRX open-class stage-prepped. The ambulance will get an overhaul from stem to stern (I want to replace the rusting cab with a classic Econoline nose.) I'd probably do something silly with the BRZ also. I don't think I'd buy any exotics. They're fun to play with, but they're so fragile, and I think I might get bored with them after a while. I might get an Aston Martin DBS Carbon Black, just because it's the sexiest car ever made. Traveling, I might do a world tour of famous tracks and driving roads and hit up every Formula 1 race with a VIP package. (Monaco! *drool*) Then I think I'll try some small business ideas that I've had. They have a large chance of failing, but they'd be fun to do and have a high profit margin if successful. I should still have a chunk of change left, so I'll donate a few mil to cancer research since that's what took my father.
