  1. Bump... $80 anyone? I don't want to deal with Craigslist.
  2. Samsung Galaxy S4. Originally on AT&T but has been carrier unlocked (with a legitimate code from AT&T, no fishy third party stuff). It will work with AT&T, T-Mobile, and all the other GSM plans like Net10, Straight Talk, H2o, etc. Phone is rooted and has SafeStrap recovery installed, but has a fresh flash of the stock firmware. If buyer doesn't want root for whatever reason, it can be re-locked. The phone lived its life without a case, so it is not perfect. A decent amount of the chrome paint has chipped off. Glass has a very small crack in the top right corner but does not extend into viewable area. There is also some light scratching of the glass (it is not cracked) from where it slid on a tile floor. You mostly only see them when the screen is off. The pictures below capture the imperfections. Will come with charger and original box. Phone is in Cincinnati but I can ship. Looking for $100 shipped to Columbus. 3. Make your own thread when your phone is for sale.
  4. Just went to the air force museum in Dayton with one of my best friends, who flies A-10's. Pretty surreal (and awesome) standing next to the plane hearing him talk about dropping bombs and shooting things.
  5. In his defense, he's had his share of mustangs as well...
  6. Hey... I know that house! Most that autocross with OVR scca know the previous owner (and I think he's a member here as well). Congrats. I've spent some time in that garage, you will be happy with it
  7. Depending on price, I could be interested in one of those if the OP is interested in the other...
  8. I'll take one if anyone has it Schafer.jerry@gmail.com
  9. Maybe some day you can move up to a big boy vtac car
  10. I'm converting to natural gas heat in my home and it seems that the HVAC companies generally won't run the gas line, so my options are to do it myself or have a professional do it. In the essence of time, and not blowing my house up, I'm leaning toward a professional. It's a straight run of ~14' then run through the house (stucco), then down the outside wall 6' or so to the future meter location. Does anyone on here want a side job? Or recommendation for plumbers to call for a quick rough quote? I'm in the Hilliard (Mill Run) area.
  11. ModifiedPowerwheels.com has tons of good info. My 9 month old seems to ha e accumulated two power wheels already
  12. Needs more pictures of ducks and toilets.
  13. Forgot to update this thread yesterday... Threw the new injector in, and it started and ran smoothly with nothing coming out of the crack in the exhaust mani. Yay! Shut it down right away and changed the oil (great minds think alike, Dorito). Started it back up and let it get warm. Woah, lots of smoke out of the exhaust from all the fuel dumping out before. Had the hose and a fire extinguisher at the ready, but luckily did not need it. Smoke lessened as it warmed up, then went away eventually. Took it for a quick spin around the block and logged some data, everything looked good. Drove it more today and everything is still seemingly OK. My 35 mile drive to work tomorrow should be a good final test Thanks for the helpful tips everyone.
  14. Quick update... I turned IG ON and multi-metered each injector harness. All 4 had 12v on one pin and ~0v on the other. So, no strange signals from ECU to injector. Pulled the vac line off of the FPR and started it... still had fuel dumping out of the exhaust mani and no fuel coming out of the FPR... so it's not a FPR problem. THEN, I started pulling the injector harnesses one by one. For 3 of them, the engine suddenly ran with a huge miss. But one of them (the far left when facing the engine, whichever cylinder that is), made no difference whether the harness was hooked up or not. I only have a basic knowledge of how injectors work, but it seems to me that it is stuck completely open, and is just dumping fuel regardless of voltage telling it to open or close. I have a new (reman) injector coming tomorrow, so we'll see if that fixes it or not.
  15. Woah, tons of info in there. I'm sorting through it all now. To answer your question about TPS - I haven't put a multimeter on it, but I do have an OBDII scan tool. It read ~9% throttle with the key in IG ON position (engine off), and when I pressed the throttle, it moved up accordingly. So, I think its signal is OK.
  16. On my way home from work a few days ago, I came to a stop sign (luckily right in front of my house), put the clutch in, and the car died. Started right back up, and died. It runs with my foot on the gas, but it just immediately dies when not on the throttle. I thought at the time that it was probably an Idle Air Control Valve problem that is common in this gen civic, so I took it out, cleaned it and put it back with no change. After doing that, I started it and kept it running for 15 seconds or so (by revving the engine) and notice that the crack in my exhaust manifold (that has always been there) had gas spewing out of it. Like, a pretty good amount of gas. So, my new theory would be that for some reason a ton of gas is dumping in, and the engine can't idle. But when I am revving, it lets enough air in to keep the engine running (albeit very rich). Things I've checked... - No CE code being thrown - TPS signal is good and isn't stuck at WOT - Pulling the MAP connector doesn't change anything I thought about a stuck injector... but it seems like that would just cause 1 cylinder to miss, and not kill the entire engine. If the fuel is coming from the injectors, it is all 4 injectors going crazy at once. And wouldn't that throw a CE code? Another theory was that the Fuel Pressure Regulator diaphragm has failed and is pushing gas through the vacuum tube, into the intake manifold, and into the cylinders. That would seem to make a lot of sense, why the ECU doesn't know that it's happening... but I pulled that vac hose and can't find any traces of fuel. So... I am at a loss. Any other ideas? If I can't diagnose anything by tomorrow, I guess I'll just start throwing parts at it... probably starting with a new FPR and going from there...
  17. Bump - Make offers? This thing would be sweet in a bar room or above a pool table...
  18. Seeing the other thread for Leaded glass shades reminded me that I've had this hanging around for years. Worked when I took it down, bulb included. The chain could use a good cleaning, but other than that it is really a cool piece. Unfortunately my wife hates it. I'm thinking $30? http://i46.photobucket.com/albums/f122/jjschafe/20140222_145014.jpg
  19. My new to me, perfect condition 2004 S2000 with 42,000 miles has had armor all applied to the interior plastics for at least the last few years. I've read some threads about removing armor all, but could that accelerate the "drying" process that armor all ultimately causes? My plan right now is to remove it (start with Griot's interior cleaner, then move to woolite if needed), then apply a good interior protectant (probably 303 aerospace protectant). Any thoughts or advice? Obviously nothing is going to fall apart immediately, but I don't want to cause all kinds of cracking 5 years from now...
  20. A coworker of mine who just bought a super sweet mazdaspeed3 will be selling his civic soon. It's an auto '99 EX, rust free (I believe). It does have ~180k miles... it has been purely a commuter car from Dublin to past Marysville for like 10 years, so it is all highway miles. Obviously does not meet your criteria exactly, but let me know if you want and I can get more details.
  21. I measured the winter tire's tread at 8/32nds (started life at 13/32). For reference... http://i46.photobucket.com/albums/f122/jjschafe/20131111_204308.jpg
  22. The winter tires are Firestone Winterforce. One of the cheaper winter tires, but gets awesome reviews. I've had them on two cars and the things are invincible. I've used these 3 winters. I can get a picture with Mr. Lincoln's head tonight... But I'd say they have at least 50% or more tread left.
