Bump from the dead... anyone need 04-05 GLI break rotors? Open to offers...
-
Thanks Rich... I'm not really a member of any local vw forums and I really don't want to post on vwvortex and have to ship them. If anyone here wants to help me out on swov, that would be great...

I used these as winter wheels on my Jetta last year. Jetta is gone, new car has a different bolt pattern and I swapped the tires onto my new winter wheels. I think these are either from a Jetta or Passat. No center caps. They are not the prettiest, but are 100% straight and completely functional. 16x6.5, 5-100, +42 offset. $100 gets them out of my garage. http://i46.photobucket.com/albums/f122/jjschafe/20111126_171347.jpg

Bought these from someone with an '03 GLI who bought them only to realize he had bought rotors for an 04.5/05. They are brand new from Autotech, vented, not drilled or slotted. I just got rid of my GLI and don't need them anymore. I think I paid $75, so looking to get that back out of them... OBO. http://i46.photobucket.com/albums/f122/jjschafe/20111120_133928.jpg http://i46.photobucket.com/albums/f122/jjschafe/20111120_133943.jpg

Spray on clothes --> feel like wearing trash bag --> overheat --> die

Mine went up quite a bit. The new value is exactly what I paid for it 2 years ago. Looks like they really did a lot of research to assess the value

Agreed, I wouldn't leave the resort. We purposefully chose a resort that was the size of a village for that very reason. Neither of us give a crap about culture... we wanted great food, great beaches and great pools, and it delivered.

I just got back from my honeymoon last week. We went to Punta Cana (Dominican Republic), stayed at the Hard Rock Resort and Casino. I would absolutely recommend it to anyone. The rooms were incredibly nice (and with a two person jacuzzi in each), food was awesome (24hr room service included in the all inclusive was awesome, and MANY a la cart places, not just buffets), beach and pools were gorgeous, etc. There wasn't a single aspect that we were not overly happy with. Only thing I can't really speak towards is price... we went through my parent's RCI membership. http://www.hardrockhotelpuntacana.com/

I've got an 04.5 PG GLI. Just rolled over 100k miles this week. Body and interior are in awesome shape. Bone stock except for a k&n filter and R32 shifter. Only issue is that the CE light came on this week for some reason, will figure that out asap. I was planning on selling later this summer. There is no way I can sell before the end of July, I'm getting married in 3 weeks and have less than no time until after that. If you're still looking then, I may have one for you.

Hey... I bought that CRX from you, right? ... I'm famous!

I've got a craftsman pushmower I want gone. Starts on the first pull literally every time. It surges as it runs, probably needs the carb cleaned, but cuts just fine. I used it all last summer to cut the tighter spots in my yard, but got lazy and only use my riding mower now. Has a new blade and air filter. $35 and it's yours.

People who know things about watches... Anyone know anything about Skagen watches? I'm always looking for slim watches, whereas most "nice" watches are GIANT, and look stupid on my wrists. Skagen's are super slim, and pretty cost conscious also. Obviously I know they aren't as nice as some of the bling in this thread... but... are they crap? Example: http://www.amazon.com/Skagen-Mens-233XLTMB-Titanium-Watch/dp/B0007X9F7O

For the record, the toilet appears to be poop free.

I put a white pedestal sink in my basement bathroom, and the old toilet wasn't quite as white, so I replaced it. Old one is not perfect, but a generally nice off-white American Standard toilet. Couldn't be more than 10 years old. Whoever wants it, come get it out of my basement. Oh, and it will not be cleaned. http://i46.photobucket.com/albums/f122/jjschafe/IMG_0837.jpg

My '04 Jetta is throwing a few codes. I am 99% sure that one of them is either a bad MAF or bad 02 sensors. I am hoping someone on here (preferably on the west side?) has a vag-com that I could use to check the values each sensor is reporting. Can anyone help?
-
Are they 5-100 bolt pattern? I need a set of winter wheels for my jetta... looking to spend quite a bit less than that though (and don't need the tires)
-
The flex section of my stock downpipe on my 04 gli has cracked and is leaking. Anyone here replaced their stock dp/cat and have the old one laying around that I could buy?
-
Sold, crap. Thanks for the info on wrx wheels.

Looking for some winter wheels for my 04 GLI. 5x100 VW wheels, must be 16" or larger to clear the GLI brakes. The cheaper the better. Anyone have anything laying around?

I'm selling this car for a friend. It is currently in Cincinnati, but will be available at my house in Hilliard starting Tuesday (9/14). Info: - 84,xxx miles - Options can be seen in image below of window sticker - One owner, female driven since new - Dealer Maintained its whole life (should be getting all records from the dealer) - New A/C 2 years ago (Compressor I think. I will get details) - New tires 1.5 years ago (will post tread depth when I get the car) - Will check brakes when I get the car, but I assume if they are anywhere near low, the dealer would have replaced them The car needs nothing. It has spent its whole life owned by a girl who did whatever she was told needed to be done. Asking $12,250. (btw, if anyone would rather buy my 04 jetta GLI, then I'll buy the CRV ) http://i46.photobucket.com/albums/f122/jjschafe/CRV%20Pictures/sticker1.jpg http://i46.photobucket.com/albums/f122/jjschafe/CRV%20Pictures/sticker2.jpg http://i46.photobucket.com/albums/f122/jjschafe/CRV%20Pictures/HPIM2507.jpg http://i46.photobucket.com/albums/f122/jjschafe/CRV%20Pictures/HPIM2498.jpg http://i46.photobucket.com/albums/f122/jjschafe/CRV%20Pictures/HPIM2488.jpg http://i46.photobucket.com/albums/f122/jjschafe/CRV%20Pictures/HPIM2489.jpg

Wow, smoking deal. If I didn't have all my spare change tied up in a wedding, I'd grab it in a heartbeat. GLWS.
-
Gah, if only I still had that crx to offer back in trade Good luck with the sale. These cars are on a short list for my next toy, but not until next spring or summer
-
I paid a little under $3k for my miata a few years ago. Higher miles, but 100% rust free and very well sorted...
-
Sorry I forgot to update the thread, they are gone. Thanks again Evan, and nice meeting you.
