  1. Not sure how they overlooked this (from 2006): http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=A1BUH9eXy18
  2. To me, it depends if it is their main TV or not. If that is the tv they're going to watch every night, or want to flip on quickly to watch this or that, I would go with an LCD/plasma. If it is a rec room that they would use to watch a movie, big game, etc, then I would get a projector without hesitation.

Boss's ringtone from the geico commercial. Cannot be topped: http://www.geico.com/about/commercials/music/ringtones/
  4. Built in the Indiana Subaru plant, but that doesn't mean it was built (or more importantly, designed) by Subaru. Toyota merely leases space in the plant, nothing more.
  5. I've been reading for the last ~1-2 years that suby will develop the motor that will be in the toyota and subaru version. I was really excited to see this car at NAIAS on Wednesday, but it wasn't out for some reason.
  6. Unfortunately he wasn't in yesterday, so I dealt with someone else. Still seemed like good people to deal with. They're letting me buy my own parts so that I can get the water pump with the metal impeller.
  7. Had my first dealings with Hatfield today, and they seem to be great to work with. Labor is expensive obviously, but they are letting me bring in my own parts, which really surprised me.
  8. I wasn't on there, but I am now Looks like Nick Poppel is the man to call. Thanks for the help, hopefully they can get me in quickly. Ahh, I haven't had someone else work on one of my cars since I was 17 Appreciate it, but I need it asap. It's currently sitting in a McDonald's parking lot and I need to tow it somewhere...
  9. Double post - anyone recommend a shop that is good with vw's that might be cheaper than the stealer and could get this done asap?
  10. I guess I mean, even if we all are 90% sure it is the water pump, couldn't it still possibly be something random like a hose going or something? I just wasn't sure if there was any way to tell 100% sure it is the water pump. Yeah, I was planning to do the whole water pump, timing belt, etc once it warmed up. Guess I'll be doing it early.
  11. Damn, that sucks... I was really hoping to just find a split hose somewhere. 74k miles, so yeah, it's getting up there. Is there any way to tell for sure before I start replacing things? Anyone want to do it for me... like... tomorrow? Based on the cold and the fact that my other car doesn't go in snow, I might even turn to the dealer for this to get it done asap  Thanks for the help so far everyone...
  12. On 270 coming home from work today, I first notice that I don't seem to feel much heat coming out. I don't think much of it and keep driving. A few minutes later, I'm cruising along and my display goes nuts, coolant temp light comes on, and OH CRAP, temp is approaching the red. So I pull over and let it cool off for 15 minutes, then managed to limp it to my exit (luckily only a mile away). It was still heating up, and had I not shut it off and coasted down the exit ramp, it would have been back up to the red. I also noticed that as I was limping it with the heater cranked all the way up to try to expel some engine heat, it was blowing ice cold air. Soo, any ideas? The facts: - 2004 jetta (1.8t engine) - Pretty sure it lost all or most coolant (MID said "check coolant level immediately) - Overheating, and blowing ice cold air My thoughts are that either the heater core, or a coolant hose just before the heater core cracked from all the cold weather and puked my coolant out. I'm going to limp it home later tonight and hopefully tomorrow I'll have a chance to get under it. Anything I'm not thinking of that I should look for? Any other thoughts?
  13. A little bonus that I didn't know about until I got mine... if you ammend your '09 return, you will get interest from January until whenever you ammend it. I ammended my '08 return in November, and got an extra $200 in interest. Boo yah.
  14. Not really a playoff... more like a combination... and the final result is pretty bland.
  15. As I've said to the millions of people who have made fun of my car... beat my 100hp street tired "gay" car around an autox course, then you can call my car anything you want. (yes AJ, I guess that means you can call my car anything you want )
  16. I may be interested in just the receiver, if you are willing to seperate.
  17. Or when you blew all your money on the fun car, and have to drive it every day
  18. The house I just bought had this same problem... the tape I bought cost about $8000, and came in the form of 17 new windows The big problem with aluminum windows is that aluminum conducts heat like nobody's business. So, you can seal the thing to kingdom come, but it is still acting like a radiator of coldness into your room.
  19. Wish I could grab these for my theater, but a new house and christmas leaves me with no spare cash. Care to give me a christmas present?
  20. Ahhh, that makes more sense. I knew I had to be missing something...
  21. Am I missing something that makes that a good deal? http://www.walmart.com/Vizio-42-Class-Eco-1080p/ip/10993796
  22. Pics of lawnmowers? Delivery to Hilliard?
  23. OK... So on my original 2008 1040, I owed $238. I see where I should note that on the 1040X, and I get my final refund to be $8000. But, on my new 1040 I am filling out, there is no where to put that I already paid $238, so it shows my refund to be $7,762. Is this right?
  24. Gotcha. I have filled out the 5405 and 1040X already (very easy, like you said), but then I read a big 1040X explanation on about.com, and it said to fill out a new 1040, then submit the original '08 1040, your new '08 1040, and the 1040X. Seemed like overkill to me, and the IRS site doesn't say anything about it. I just thought I would make sure before submitting everything. Thanks for the informative post...
  25. Can you ask him if he submitted a new 1040 with the 1040X?
