  1. I definitely agree removing much metal material at all is too much for a dremel. I've killed two of my own, and my current one really only gets used for wood/plastics. If you do end up using a dremel, you will notice it gets warm when worked hard. A lot of people are inclined to shut it off, but this just traps the heat. Just quit grinding and leave it running free for a few seconds. The motor spinning without a load actually helps cool it back down.

  3. Got an 870 Express from my uncle, and a Dick's gift card that will probably go towards a hard case. Planning on a few mods to the gun.
  4. Not in the new V6 Ram for sure. The only they can get people interested is to be put the 8 speed behind it. That way they can talk up the crazy mileage. Otherwise it would likely be dismissed as far behind the Ford Ecoboost half tons.
  5. For a car that nobody seems to like, there sure are a million BRZ/FR-S related threads.
  6. Well, according to that data, around Willow Springs, the BRZ is 1:30, whereas the 07 STI was 1:34. http://images.wikia.com/theamazingworldofgumball/images/7/7c/Creepy-willy-wonka-meme-generator-how-fascinating-please-go-on-20381e.jpg

  9. My girlfriend's house was built in the 40's, and though it didn't have knob and tube, it was wired with 2 conductor, so no receptacles were grounded. My dad (journeyman electrician) called it "BX Cable", and it basically looked like very old 1/2" flexible conduit. He and I had the pleasure of re-wiring it from underneath, via her unfinished basement, along with adding a few receptables, basement light fixtures, fixing the doorbell circuit, etc. etc. etc. The panel was fortunately upgraded in the last decade, though our new work required several doublers. So yea, houses, good times. I hope to buy my own next year
  10. Fyi efilive will no longer allow dpf/egr/emissions delete tuning through their products used in the us. This was announced earlier this week. The current software version obviously allows delete tuning, but the update released late this month or early in january will disable deleting emissions features in the ecm.... Any efilive units shipping after the release will come with that software version too. There will likely be workarounds, but as of right now it's a big concern for everybody. The forum on efilive's site has good thread about it where they're clarifying details.
  11. 2013 Ram has an 8 speed auto and 3.6L V6, good for 25mpg highway. Still tows 5900 pounds too. It also has the projector headlamps that "no other pickup has" according to GMC guy lol.
  12. Looks like an improvement over the current gen (I hated the 2008 I drove for work), but the new face on the chevy is no looker. A few claims they make in that presentation are factually incorrect as well, as far as some "first truck ever to have..." statements.

    12v swap

Mounts should be simple, and your upgraded axles should give you a head start. If you're planning on hauling/towing 3/4 ton loads, probably look into adding the crossmember to the frame, or some other reinforcement, as well as the 3/4 ton springs and overloads. I can't offer much transmission insight though.

    Well it's been done, start reading: http://www.cumminsforum.com/forum/94-98-performance-parts-discussion/318125-ram-1500-12v-cummins-swap.html http://dodgeforum.com/forum/3rd-gen-ram-tech/251727-project-done-12v-cummins-in-an-03-1500-functioning-like-oem.html http://dodgeforum.com/forum/2nd-gen-ram/291413-cummins-in-a-1-2-ton.html http://www.cumminsforum.com/forum/94-98-powertrain/487479-dodge-ram-1500-cummins-turbo-diesel-lots-pics.html http://www.cumminsforum.com/forum/94-98-powertrain/151814-12-valve-cummins-1998-ram-1500-a.html http://www.cumminsforum.com/forum/94-98-powertrain/263632-94-4x4-1500-5-2-318-12v-cummins.html http://www.cumminsforum.com/forum/cummins-conversions-shop-talk-tools-fabrication/2775-cost-12v-swap-into-2nd-gen-ram-1500-a.html
  15. Best Buy does price match online now. So if avoiding shipping charges or getting shit same day is your thing, best buy works again. That said, their stereo guys are a bunch of dumbies.
  16. You're right my bad. Well then disregard my opinion for sure, I haven't been there since they were still mcdorman.
  17. Taylor in Lancaster, and Bob Mcdorman in Canal Winchester both have a pretty good used selection. I almost bought an 07 GMC from Taylor when I bought my current truck.
  18. Not 100% funny, but there are a few lols. http://youtu.be/AXnrQ-tmwyM
  19. Well I'm coming from out near Lancaster, but I could meet you on 256 or Brice at 70 pretty easily. You tell me where/when bud. Feel free to PM.
  20. Sunday at 11am I'm meeting a guy who's buying the steelies off my truck, on the east side. I could do before or after that pretty easily. Where are you coming from?
  21. I have this tire rack for sale: http://www.tirerack.com/images/accessories/product_images/large/ttr_tirestoragerack_black_l.jpg http://www.tirerack.com/accessories/detail.jsp?ID=164&category=Tire+Storage Holds up to 400 lbs and mounts into studs. It worked great, and is in perfect shape, I just don't need it anymore. It's disassembled in my garage, ready to go, with all hardware included. Looks exactly like the one in the picture, except the adjustable horizontal bars on mine are stainless. New at the tirerack.com link, it's $129 + shipping. I'm asking $100
  22. I'm basically looking to continue within the same field, but under a different group/team within the same company. I'm hoping graduate school should expedite my move to that group, and let me do a little leap frogging. As of now I've contacted a few admissions people at several schools, and ordered a copy of my transcript from OSU. I'll keep doing research, but by the looks of things I'm too late for a lot of the spring registrations I see.
  23. Thanks for all the input guys, keep it coming. I won't have time to really look into it a lot more until after work, but it's looking like Ohio Dominican, Franklin, and maybe even OU's MBA program may all be reasonably good fits for me. And Smokey, as for the 2 years of school vs. 2 more years of work experience argument, I did actually weigh the two like you're suggesting. I wish 2 more years of work experience would put me into a more favorable situation, but it does not appear that it would.
