Some good ideas lol. I see guys on youtube running R/C airplanes with similar motors. So we're clear that's way more work than I'm talking about.

Dad was throwing away a leaf blower that fell apart. Motor has always ran great and still does. Wintertime is coming. What would be fun to make gas powered?

You calling me an AZN? Neat

Many lols to be had in political discussions, and many dumbs to be witnessed. It's amazing how 2 people can view one show and come away with 2 very different sets of observations. It's all a matter of the chair you watch it from (or perhaps whether the chair is red or blue).

Welcome Lenny Kravitz! http://i49.tinypic.com/dbmidj.jpg But srsly welcome.

You're going to pay out the ass for a comparably bright LED bulb in that wattage. I'd go CFL until the LED technology that's already common in flashlights reaches the residential bulb market.

Tim, there's still quite a bit there I don't agree with, but I'm not typing another novel. All of your points in mind though, I think it's a little bit silly to suggest that a president with a different view or skillset can honestly make much of a difference anyway. The views and decisions made by a president are only a small part of what it takes to impact serious economic change/growth. A better argument might be to suggest that simply putting a Republican in office could initiate some degree of cooperation by all the other players involved, to hopefully allow more productivity. I personally have a hard time attributing the majority of our economic situation to deficiencies in Barack Obama or his decision-making. Opinions...

That's quite a lot to interpret from my comment. All that I ACTUALLY said was that it is not exactly accurate to suggest that Romney built his successful business career from scratch. Coming from a wealthy political family, and being equipped with a Harvard education do wonders for a persons perceived business acumen. In addition, I did not mention anything about building a successful business, I was referring to successfully building/developing his own personal CAREER. Nowhere did I suggest that it's wrong to get a little help from mom/dad or anyone else, or that if given help you deserve less credit. One does have to look at just how much advantage he was given/born into. Doesn't sound much like "from scratch" to me. I guess I'm struggling to find pure facts that suggest he has business skills that would prove advantageous for our current economic situation. Most of what I hear over and over about Romney can be summarized into "he's made himself wealthy and has headed some large businesses in the past, he must be able to fix it!"...

From scratch? Dream on, bud. Take a look at the family Mitt Romney was born into. He went to Harvard to earn his business degree, and was active in both of his parents political campaigns.... Don't give the guy too much credit like so many people seem to do.

Are there facts somewhere comparing What Obama's record was before becoming president (in his home state) to Romney's record in his home state? I'd be interested to see how pre-presidency accomplishments translate to effectiveness in the White House. A lot of people are talking up all of Romney's experience as governor, but honestly, isn't the working atmosphere at the state level DRASTICALLY different than the environment as president of the country? Aside from that, wasn't the political climate of Massuchusetts during his term of governor DRASTICALLY different than the national political climate of the past 4 years?

I'll probably buy one, but I wish they would sell the camera as JUST the camera, without all the accessories/mounts included in each "edition". I have a ton of that, and would prefer not to re-buy it again just to get the camera.

Cool, but goofy on a single rear wheel. Yea I know. Emissions shit only works well if you drive the truck loaded all the time. Guy before me only towed his horse trailer with it so it's had no issues yet. I will be deleting though asap. Lol yep I know. They're ugly but the stock pedals are admittedly small, which is why the previous owner put them on. We'll see. I figgered you would approve sir. Thanks!

Very cool truck sir! I hope to one day have my dodge run that quick.
-
Thanks sir. And yea mine is turbo. As far as I know every cummins that's ever been offered in a ram truck has been turbo. Most non-turbo diesels were phased out in the mid 90s by Ford and Chevrolet. Cummins are reliable, powerful, and relatively easy to work on with their inline 6, single turbo configuration. I really don't need a diesel truck, but I've always had a love for diesel engines so I jumped on a great deal. After tuner and exhaust I should be able to squeeze 20mpg out of this one too.

So I wasn't planning on buying a new truck (or selling the 2011 Ranger I bought just last year) but a good deal came along so I jumped on it. I got a good enough deal on the Ranger that I lost less than $500 when I sold it too! New to me truck is a 2007 Ram 2500 Regular cab longbed with 38k miles on it . It's a basic truck just like my ranger was, with power nothing and 2wd. It does have cruise control, AC, and cd player, though. The main reason I bought was the 6.7 Cummins diesel and 6 speed manual, with the 3.73 rear end. I have enjoyed driving my dad's 2010 cummins truck, which is largely why I wanted one myself. With the 2wd, Reg Cab, singe real wheel combination, this is the lightest chassis the cummins diesel is offered in. So far it's been fun . The only real hauling it's seen is towing dad's 10k travel trailer to Mid-Ohio, and several camping trips. Here are some shitty cellphone pics from when I first brought it home, quite ugly: http://i180.photobucket.com/albums/x33/spankis/Ram%202500/IMG-20120617-00046.jpg http://i180.photobucket.com/albums/x33/spankis/Ram%202500/Violet-20120604-00039.jpg I found a deal on some pretty rare forged Power Wagon wheels made by Alcoa, so those were added. I also got rid of a few badges and added some mudflaps, to prevent any further rock chips behind the wheels (they show really badly on white). Here is the truck now, after a quick wash: http://i180.photobucket.com/albums/x33/spankis/Ram%202500/DSC_0009.jpg http://i180.photobucket.com/albums/x33/spankis/Ram%202500/DSC_0007.jpg http://i180.photobucket.com/albums/x33/spankis/Ram%202500/DSC_0011.jpg http://i180.photobucket.com/albums/x33/spankis/Ram%202500/DSC_0012.jpg http://i180.photobucket.com/albums/x33/spankis/Ram%202500/DSC_0006.jpg http://i180.photobucket.com/albums/x33/spankis/Ram%202500/DSC_0013.jpg And the inside: http://i180.photobucket.com/albums/x33/spankis/Ram%202500/DSC_0015.jpg I just wanted to share. Plans for the truck are hopefully a tuner and exhaust over the winter, and likely an egr delete at the same time. Clutch will likely need upgraded soon after. Also down the road I may do a slight shackle drop in the rear to get rid of the giant rake it has now.

Yep, if I didn't think I'd kill myself on a bike, I'd buy the damn thing.
-
A few of those I already knew from my dad. Thanks dad .

Alright so apparently he's got his eye on another toy. He asked me to lower the price to $3800 this morning. The bike can be seen in Utica. Call Andrew at 614-256-7681 Mods - I can no longer edit the original post to reflect the price change. Any help?

How much are these trailers?

I always remember the GM Ecotec motors having a reputation for an extremely stout stock block setup. Anybody know what they are good for? I vaguely remember reading about a stockish 700hp Ecotec turbo car...

GF drives a 2007 Cobalt SS with the 2.4 non-turbo. I just replaced the entire suspension, so it's now a decent car again.

I just got back from a 10 day vacation in the Florida keys. I stayed on the water on Sugarloaf key and did lots of fishing. The keys are a little bit like mini Caribbean islands if the drive isn't too far for you guys. The drive itself is actually pretty amazing too; the 7 mile bridge over open water is sweet.

A co-worker had his BB Bold ran over in a hotel parking lot after dropping it unknowingly. Screen was shattered and the case was crumbling, but it STILL MADE AND RECEIVED CALLS. Since I have the same phone, I was able to guide him through button presses to make a call.... crazy.

Poke fun all you want, but I work for a huge non-government corporation, and verizon is our provider. I get unlimited everything for $15/month, and they provide me a blackberry bold. Only our sales guys are eligible for iphones. I'll probably be due for an upgrade soon, and I'd jump on whatever this new blackberry thing is in january. Yep blackberry's are shitty, but $15 . I'm betting a lot of the corporate dummies with blackberries are using similar math.
