  1. Timmy, there are several ways to view the states decision here. Your Republican perspective is appreciated however, because I often have difficulty viewing things in that "light". I suggest everyone else do their own research/fact checking.
  2. My GF works at childrens hosptial in the neonatal intensive care unit (very small babies). She has some wonderful stories about patients that are brought in with roaches living in their ears and/or nose. I guess she's walked in and seen them on a kid, and when she gets closer it runs back into hiding, in their head..... Those babies generally don't go home with mommy and daddy.

  4. If you have a big enough space (possibly in the basement even), build a small 2x4 frame room inside of the actual room big enough to fit you and your equipment. This way, you can throw it together cheap and still have it be removable. Because it doesn't have to be structural at all, you can cheap out on 2x4 span and use mostly drywall/insulation. With the room inside of a room method, you also avoid having to soundproof exterior windows, just focus on a simple hinge door. I helped a friend and his dad build such a room in their basement in highschool and it worked great.
  5. My experience with everclear leaves me drunk (not hungover) the followoing morning. Safe travels!

  7. The cheapest I've ever seen them is around $10 each, so 50+ is going to be a chunk of change.
  8. I know these are becoming more desireable, so I figured I'd post a little FYI... My uncle just traded this car in for a new Accord (changed positions at work w/ more driving), and I know it's very clean and in good shape. Things I know: - Motor was replaced under warranty by GM around 10-15k ago for some factory issue. I can probably get all the related paper work regarding this for anybody seriously interested. Basically motor is nearly new though. - Car is all stock except for a Magnaflow catback and possibly an intake. http://www.roushhonda.com/vehicles/car/2009-Pontiac-G8-4dr-Sdn-GT-/vin/6G2EC57Y79L231972 http://server8.crucialnetworking.com/img/images/9/6G2EC57Y79L231972/1/1.jpg
  9. Nope, because you're posting on columbusracing forum, here in Columbus, OH. Good luck. Now Steelers fans here in Ohio, they're just following a wagon. Heard yer dumb!
  10. This won't end well for you, Michigan guy.
  11. These images more clearly show the extent of what really happened than all the crappy media coverage I've seen so far. Not sure all these are from Sandy though , like this one: http://i.imgur.com/Qir5k.png Who's the guy in the blue helmet?

  13. FYI "The Andersons General Store" carries Homak stuff. You could go check it out. I specifically looked through some of their clearance tools today at the Brice Road location. I don't believe the boxes were on sale, but you could go see one in person at least.
  14. Better jump on this one then: http://columbus.craigslist.org/pts/3373168904.html (Asking $1500 and it's a -A motor with the intercooler)
  15. My dad went with the larger 3000 watt Honda generator, it will run his camper easily (including A/C), and for an outage at the house will keep the furnace blower running if needed, and can cycle the fridge on and off to keep things cold. The hondas are expensive, but reliable and the most quiet by far. They also have the best service/parts availability. As far as second best, I've heard decent things about the Yamaha units as well as Champion. There are a million knockoffs from harbor freight, northern tool, tractor supply, etc., but I'd stay away from them. Expect a lot of noise regardless of what non-honda unit you buy, and don't plan on buying one any time soon as the whole eastern U.S. has already bought them all up.
  16. You get around 33% off from Honda as an employee. My buddy (also a Honda employee) just got me one for my dad.... Go compare and you may just think they're worth it.
  17. I've been browsing craigslist, but I've not found anything wonderful. I'm looking for either a smaller floor mount box that fits below the bed rails, or a low-profile box that sits on top of the rails. Probably wouldn't consider a plastic box unless it was especially nice, prefer steel or aluminum. All this rain lately reminds me how nice some extra dry storage would be. Thanks -Scott
  18. Very cool! I looked hard at these with the factory 5.3L in them before buying my truck. They were hard to find and always overpriced. This will be better anyway .
  19. I have seen the one that operates the Licking County Admin building.... and it is not going to power much, probably little more than emergency lights and the fire alarm system.
  20. What are ya, some kinda tree hugger? /sarcasm This coal/oil-loving mentality, and what we call "energy progress" blows my mind. This past weekend I saw signs all over ohio saying "End the War on Coal - Fire Obama". It hurts the brain, it really does.
  21. That's some real leaky airtight logic you have there.
