I've seen commercials for Maryland, I'll have to look into their program. All I've got is work and a girlfriend, everything else can wait if need be. So that sounds promising. Though I went to OSU for my undergrad, the Fisher College of Business program looks a little bit too involved and expensive for my needs - if I even got accepted there. Their stated program length is 72 credit hour over 27 months, with a cost of $18k/year! Their program looks pretty decent actually, and seemingly checks a lot of boxes I'm looking for. Is she doing online or in person, and what is her chosen concentration?

I'm absolutely guilty of ignorance, so I apologize. Like I said above "I may be way off base here...." I'm very much just getting my feet wet with all of this, as I literally started looking into it right after work today.

I may be way off base here, but the online offerings seem a little low-end, and like they may be viewed differently than standard butt-in-seat programs. If they're "accredited" and all perhaps, but I'll have to do a little research. From what you're describing they may actually be very comparable; my opinion comes from a bad experience with a very shitty online course offered by OSU. My employer's tuition reimbursement policy has this requirement at least: Courses must be provided by an institution accredited by one of the following six regional associations: • New England Association of Schools and Colleges • Middle States Association of Colleges and Schools • North Central Association of Colleges and Schools • Northwest Commission on Colleges and Universities • Southern Association of Colleges and Schools • Western Association of Schools and Colleges

I've reached a point where I'm beginning to seriously consider furthering my education, likely with a Masters of Business Administration. I have a BS from OSU now, and I have an 8-5 job with some flexibility, where I could potentially work 7-4 or possibly even four tens if it were advantageous. My employer will reimburse me for tuition/registration, under the following terms: Graduate courses are limited to whichever is met first: $12,000 per calendar year or 20 credit hours • Graduate level courses qualify for inclusion as part of a ‘qualified tuition reimbursement program’ as defined by the Internal Revenue service and shall qualify for exclusion from the employee’s gross income subject to the annual $5,250 limitation. • Any amounts reimbursed in excess of the annual $5,250 limitation are fully taxable as income to the employee. My aim is to find a program that I can complete in evenings or weekends, while continuing to work. It would be ideal if I could find a program that fits around the $5250/year limit listed above, but I would for sure want to stay under the $12000 cap for reimbursement. If this isn't a reasonable expectation then so be it. I'd love to some get some input on local (within 30-45 minutes of 270) accredited MBA programs from those who've completed theirs or are currently enrolled. I think the perfect school in my eyes would stress completing the program quickly, while gearing their offerings to someone who is employed full time. I'm sure we have more than a handful of members who've been down this road themselves, so I'd love to get some opinions. Thanks in advance.

There is (as of last week) a red one for sale on Allen Road in Pickerington, between 256 and Stemen road. There has also been another one for sale in Pataskala, not far from the school on Watkins road between Rt. 16 and I-40. I believe it was red as well. If you're interested I can stop and see what they're asking at some point. 4BT swap

Maybe it's just me, but I wish somebody would offer their performance models with tons of option deletes, cloth seats, and super basic everything. Just give me the go fast shit. I would, for example, be a buyer for a V6 bodied Mustang with no options, power nothing, and the 5.0/6-speed combo.... or something along those lines. If it knocks 5 grand off the entry price, I'm interested. Basically I'd like the finest mechanical goodies in the cheapest, ugliest chassis you've got, and sell it to me.

04 Hemi Ram can't fairly be compared to the 09-present half ton rams. Both the motor and the chassis itself are night and day different. As for an 09 with a small back seat, he probably got the stupid quad cab which is tiny in back. There are 4 cab configurations and 3 bed lengths, so it can be tough to keep them all straight. I've never heard anybody complain about room in the crew cabs though at all, and that's what my dad has.

I would agree, but meeting his model year, cab size and feature requirements would be impossible unless he was okay with it having 75k miles or more....

Another vote for the Ram, but as was said 2009+ only for sure. Also, since you're talking about towing capacity, I would look hard at a 2010-2012 2500 Ram with the Hemi. Towing anywhere near 10k with a 1/2 ton truck (regardless of what they're rated for) is an unpleasant experience, ask me how I know. You get the heavy duty AAM 11.5 axles in the 2500, bigger brakes, rear leaf springs rather than coil springs, and a beefier frame. My dad has a 2010 2500 with the Cummins, and it's been a great truck. Yes it's a diesel which obviously helps, but the chassis itself handles loads waaaaaaay better than his half ton ever did. For what it's worth, the Ram forums are full of guys who bought Tundras based on their specs, and soon traded them in on 2500/3500 trucks instead. Mileage is good, ride is very good with the coils, and he hasn't had a single issue with it. If towing doesn't matter, the 1500 would be a great choice too. Well, he drove a few cars today. He likes the 300 for sure, but the only certified used one he saw was a 2010 with the 3.5, definite no on that motor obviously but it was a clean car. Spent a lot of time at the Bob Boyd Ford in Lancaster, he liked and drove a 2011 Escape with the 3.0 V6, loaded with everything. I wasn't aware he was interested in small SUVs, but he used to have a Blazer I guess. He also sat in a 2011 Fusion and liked it a lot, and commented on the room. He actually acted like he would consider one, though not enough to test drive it I guess. He REALLY liked the taurus, as expected, but did not drive one because they didn't have a used example somehow. The salesman offered to let us drive a brand new one but grandpa decided to wait until they got a used on in. As of now he is in the hunt for a certified used Taurus with leather and heated seats. We also stopped at Bobby Layman Cadillac, where we determined that he did not want a Cadillac based on price alone. He did really like a loaded 2012 Impala LTZ they had though, with power everything, leather, and the infamous 3.6L!! It had 28k miles and we test drove it and it drove nicely, but it actually had some engine noise to it lol. It was only at low speeds just above idle, but it did sound almost like a knock or pulsing sound. Almost could have been exhaust/valve overlap kinda sound with the VVT but the fact that Grandpa easily noticed it with his terrible hearing was pretty striking. We mentioned it to the sales guy and he said it would obviously be checked out, but that the car was GM certified and would have a 100k powertrain warranty anyway. Fun time regardless, even if they were all grandpa cars. -

Thanks sir that's really good info! I started reading up on these motors myself and found mostly info on timing chain wear and stretch like you're saying. I read somewhere that like mid 2010 model year the timing chain source was changed for all 3.6 engine production, and it got a new part number. Can you confirm any of that? If he should focus on 2010 and newer to hopefully avoid issues that works. He always changes his oil at 3-4000 miles anyway. That's still too much for him. He's looking at spending no more than 22k or so on a lower mileage used car. ATS is also too small for sure and surely wouldn't "ride good" lol. He is 80 yrs old . Aren't these on the same chassis as the Deville he's selling? Different motor options I realize, but old and badge-engineered it seems. -

He would drive it, but he I would have to follow him around and pull him out of it. He truly could not get out of my Stealth without help lol. He has a very bad hip that is mostly driving the preference for larger cars. -

I should also clarify that he would likely never buy from a non-American maker. He had some nice things to say about my mom's accord because Honda makes cars in Ohio etc. etc. - but I can't see him ever buying one. Old people lol. -

Thanks Clay. As for the last generation 300, they did not offer the Pentastar unfortunately. The current generation started in 2011 model year and that was the first to get it. He likes the first gens (05-'10) but honestly there are not a ton of lower mileage examples out there. If he went with last generation though, he'd go with the Hemi for sure. I like the Taurus too, and they're giant. I'd like him to go that route myself but the fact that it doesn't say Cadillac/Lincoln/Mercury/Buick on it keeps him a bit less interested. Stupid old man logic.... I'm hoping a test drive might sway him. -
My grandpa has a 2001 Cadillac Deville DTS with the 4.6L 300hp Northstar motor. It has around 150k on it, and it's begun using some oil between oil changes (1-2 qts per 4000 miles!). It's a somewhat common problem on these motors at higher mileage, though the car still runs and drives very well. Regardless, it's only going to get worse, so he's in the market for a low mileage, slightly used gramps mobile. I'm basically looking for input on specific powertrains to prefer or avoid, as I don't want him buying another motor that's going to be a maintenance/overhaul problem down the road. He's looking at several certified pre-owned or balance of factory warranty cars, so please offer input on the following: - Cadillac CTS and STS, Buick Lacrosse, Chevy Impala (Direct Injected GM 3.6L V6, **Also the 3.9L in some Impalas I see) - Chrysler 300 (3.6L "Pentastar" V6) - Ford Taurus (non EcoBoost 3.5L V6) He asked me to go test drive a few cars later today, so all help is appreciated. -Scott

Still looking for one of these, I've tried the craigslist route with little success. Looking for basically any box that is less than 19" tall, and less than 62" wide. From what I can tell the "saddle" boxes that fit compact trucks fit between the rails of full size trucks, on the floor. That would work fine too. Thanks
