  1. https://www.facebook.com/marketplace/item/735154823744674/ https://www.facebook.com/marketplace/item/1922556544551605/ https://www.facebook.com/marketplace/item/3118502114924198/ https://www.facebook.com/marketplace/item/760560711170943/ That’s like 3 minutes of looking. There’s quite a few Jeeps that need one thing fixed like a rear end or tranny in that price range too.
  2. There’s tons of trackers and samurais out here in Colorado. You could make a trip out and go home with a rust free decent one behind you. If you wanted I could check a couple out for you before you head out.
  3. Everything is beautiful out that way. I think next year we’re going to do a long camping trip out on the western slope of the Rockies/Moab.
  4. New fan clutch thermostat and a new radiator that was plugged with nastiness and flush the engine with a garden hose fixed my truck. It was overheating at slower speeds. Only cost about $125 to fix.
  5. An r-9 door will probably be an uninsulated door with a 1/4” piece of styrofoam glued to the inside of it. They almost never do this with a high quality door, almost always a cheaper uninsulated. On a door that size I would go with the better door no matter what, insulated or not. If you ever bump it with a car or put it down on something a decent door can take a hit but a cheap door will crumple and need sections or more replaced. Also have the builder get a commercial door not residential. They come with heavier tracks and parts and are over sized 2” so it will have a 1” overlap of the jambs on both sides. 18’2” instead of 18’ like your opening should be. That will keep a lot more air out with jamb seal.
  6. Your boy’s old enough to drive. I feel old.
  7. I was looking around the link I posted and they have a dealership in Michigan. They have completely different inventory now too.
  8. If an air to water intercooler on a turbo is anything like one on a supercharger you need as much water as possible and as big of a heat exchanger as possible. Once the water gets hot it never cools down unless you’re on the highway. Water wetter helps a little bit too.
  9. FD RX-7 are getting up there. I also agree about the old Z cars because I was looking at them when I bought my Camaro. Older Subaru’s out here are rediculous for mostly junk that some teenager beat to death. When I get done with coil overs and LS swap on my car it will probably be worth at least twice what I paid for it.
  10. We did Georgia pass a couple weeks ago. It’s very rocky and rough and real steep for a couple miles. I passed probably 8 guys on mountain bikes. I don’t know how they ride up the mountains let alone with all the rocks. My buddy is a trainer and rides about 250 miles a week and runs a lot too. He does Mt Evans about every other week. He’s a beast when we’re out in the mountains hiking. I have to yell at him to slow down.
  11. The wife wanted to see lakes with waterfalls today so I got on trailsoffroad and found a couple around Idaho Springs. They were all by St. Mary’s glacier. We went to Chinns lakes and a couple others not far from there. There weren’t very many good rough places but we had fun seeing the lakes and hiking to the waterfalls. http://i.imgur.com/p2wTFrcl.jpg http://i.imgur.com/r6MMzkml.jpg http://i.imgur.com/rag5qwvl.jpg http://i.imgur.com/uBYBon6l.jpg My wife and her vertical filming. I can’t get it to auto play like before. http://i.imgur.com/Jc6ofeBl.mp4 Got a little close to the tree. http://i.imgur.com/6m6omLtl.mp4
  12. I usually see at least a couple daihatsu but none right now. I’d call them because they go through a decent amount of cars. I look just to see what kind of weird stuff they have. They have some Mitsubishi’s similar to what you are looking for. https://jdmsportclassics.com/1-best-jdm-imports-in-colorado/
  13. There’s a couple places here in Denver that pop up on Facebook that import cars to sell. I think that’s all they do. I think they regularly have what you’re looking for that are nice. I’ll see if I can find it.
  14. We’ve been thinking about outside of Parker or Sadalia but haven’t decided to make the move yet. I want a lift too.
  15. Are you staying in the same area of the city or somewhere else. I’d like to get out of the suburbs and get a place with a detached garage. I got the front mostly on yesterday. I need to figure out the sway bar and a get you there alignment. I put multi leafs on the back so I can drive it until the parts come for the mini tub get here and I get time to do it all. Then I’ll start planning for the LS swap. Should be fun at 3100lbs and 400 whp. Then we’ll see if it needs a blower or turbo or not.
  16. I had a lot of questions about what all else I should do with the suspension install (wheels and tires and minitub and spring weight) and he answered everything. I’ve heard good things from the couple guys that have this suspension. Most first gen Camaro guys just do multi leafs in the back and lowering springs in the front. Not a lot going this far. Glad to hear another good review from you. I was looking for a 67-72 manual truck when I bought this car. It’s hard to find one that’s not either too nice to gut or has the wrong mods done already. I got lucky finding this car. Should be fun after a few things are done to it. Seeing your swap thread is what got me thinking about something older. I have similar plans to yours.
  17. We just have a tent and air mattress for the truck bed now and all the basic stuff for camping. We might get a small tear drop camper next year if we keep going and the wife still likes it by then. I like the ones that are just a bed and a couple cabinets inside with a kitchen on the back that flips open. Most of those crazy overdone overlanders just camp right next to the roads. Usually in the next spot from a 30’ camper behind a dually. They spend more on their set ups than if they would have just bought a nice camper to begin with. Most are just keeping up appearances.
  18. I’m going to go off topic in my own thread. All new ridetech coil over suspension with tubular control arms and four link with front and rear sway bars came today. I’m excited to tear into it.
  19. How’s the bimmer going. We need to meet up some time. I picked up a project too. 67 Camaro RS. I’m waiting for all new coil over suspension front and back.
  20. Pikes peak is all construction on top right now. They’re making one big giant tourist stop on the top. It looks to me like they’re ruining it. If I’m driving to a 14er I’d pick Mount Evans.
  21. 15 front 12 rear. It rides so much nicer aired down I bought a portable air compressor to keep under the back seat. It really helps in the rough stuff when I watch my buddies truck bite the big rocks and climb right over. I’ll do it every time from now on.
  22. My wife takes way too many pictures to show everything here. We’ve been out about 10 times this year. It would be way more but the snow doesn’t melt off enough to open trails until early to mid July so we’re just getting started. We found this on Saturday at around 10k feet. Here’s my wife being an asshole. Lol
  23. The wife and I were hiking once and a huge male mountain goat just walked past us. He got to be about 30’ away before either one of us saw him. He walked a little bit ahead of us for a 1/4 mile before he disappeared.
  24. 1 hour 20 minutes from home about 30 minutes from the West side of Denver. This was Wednesday. On the weekends there’s more but I haven’t seen it crazy busy anywhere yet.
  25. We went skiing at Crested Butte for christmas last year which isn't too far away. We're renting a house for us and my wifes family for her 40th birthday in early august close to the black canyon of the gunnison for a couple days.
