  1. hope you are either dirt poor, or have a good prenup... sorry man
  2. check the hose that goes back into the radiator, squeeze it, if will be able to tell if it is flowing by squeezing it, you will feel it as you squeeze and feel it fill back up. It sounds like pretty much everything is new, radiator, thermostat, water pump, also sounds like the head gasket is good. Maybe do a leak down test to check. Off the top of my head it sound like you have a blockage somewhere, or maybe your running really lean and it is making you overheat. Also, is there anything blocking the airflow of the radiator? sounds dumb to ask but you never know, is the AC condenser in front of the radiator like most cars? are most of the fins bent? may be blocking the airflow from the radiator. Also, hate to be obvious, but are u sure your fluid is full, sounds like is, though whenever i fill mine, i leave the drain peacock on the radiator open until antifreeze comes out then close it, then i start the car and fill it untill the level stops dropping. Also, do u feel any dragging on your drive line? might be a problem bottom line, check fluid again, do a leak down test to test the oil, and check for blockages. little drunk... but i hope you get what i am saying
  3. yeah... in texas the sticker's go on the front of the car. so when I got my car up here, i did the same... It has been that way since december and I have yet to be pulled over. I'll make sure the new sticker goes in the right place though lol.
  4. Damn, I'm Looking Good Their Face, their ass, what's the diffrence?
  5. Do you do alot of porting work? What would you charge to do the TB, intake and head on a 91 talon 4G63? Know anyone that could check out a head and make sure it is good?
  6. A bunch of friends and I used to play in the woods. Fun stuff, beer, forts and camo.
  7. What is this place? Arcade? Bar? Club? all three?
  8. No, they sell a shitload in the PX and have a bar on base now. I was on lockdown so I couldn't drink. I know there is a bar just down the street from the NCO Acadamy
  9. My car hasen't moved since I got home from Fort McCoy, I have been snowmobileing alot though.
  10. It would probably be best to use a Noid light to do this. I think you can get them at harbor freight kind of cheap. A voltage meter might work though I am not sure if you will be able to see it, or if it will fry it.
  11. Get the belt tight, I use a pry bar to hold it tight while I bolt it down, or even better get someone else to hold the bar. Here's a simple test. Buy an aerosol can of brake cleaner, install the little plastic extension nozzle, open the hood with the engine off and find a safe way to spray the aerosol on the ribbed side of the belt. Make sure clothing, fingers, etc., won't get caught in the belt. Start the engine, and while you're hearing the squeal, spray the aerosol on the belt. You can try this on both sides of the belt. If the squeal stops instantly, then restarts several seconds later, the noise is being generated by belt slippage. If there's no change in noise, the problem more likely is associated with one of the belt-driven accessories.
  12. Why not clean them yourself, here is a pretty good artical. http://www.plymouthlaser.com/injectest.htm
  13. Do you post on DSM Tuner's? I think remember a post with a front bumper cut out like your's for the intercooler. Nice Talon.
  14. When I got rear ended in my laser buy it back was like 100-180 bucks. It was sweet. They gave me 1100 for it, I had bought it two days ago for 800. Your truck doesn't look bad. You could probably fix it and get it drivable.
  15. I am working, getting ready to eat algee off boats with a really strong acid... Gonna be fun!!!
  16. I am headed out to change the CV axle's on my car. Can't wait to wake the rest of the family up with the sound of my impact and loud music!!
  17. Also, as far as stabil and fogging oil, go to auto zone and get whatever is on the shelf. We use the Sta-Bil brand fogging oil and fuel stabilizer and it works pretty good. It is a red liquid in a clear bottle, also read the directions it is pretty easy to use. More is always better then too little.
  18. Fogging oil is something along the lines of this... http://www.pennzoil.com/products/marine/fogging_oil.html Basically you spray it into your carb, or throttle body for fuel injection models until your engine dies, or until the engine starts smoking and you turn the key off. Then pull the spark plugs and give each cylinder a shot of it. It basically coats the entire engine with oil to prevent rust and corrosion from forming. If you’re just putting the bike away for a few months, you can most likely get away without doing this step, but it wouldn't hurt either. As far as a battery tender I am not sure if I would worry about it. If you keep the bike in a garage that is fairly warm, just disconnect the battery. If not, pull the battery out and put it someplace inside. We have about 50,000 jet ski battery's on a shelf in our shop and they will be just fine until summer. If you’re really worried about it, check it once in a while and maybe give it a little charge.
  19. Something tells me he has a pretty awsome LSD lol, maybe even custom made with a welder? lol
  20. You must either have way more income then this College student, or have access to a really awesome shop! My dad and I are pretty cheap too. lol
  21. You must be going to the wrong junkyards.
  22. You should do what my dad and I did. We where at the junkyard getting various parts and found a lawn mower in the back of a truck that had rolled over. The lawn mower looked like it had been in the truck at the roller over too! After pounding on the chassis for 20 min with a hammer, cleaning the carb and replacing the gas it became the new mower, and only takes one pull to start!! We decided to give our old one away after started using pieces of metal found in the lake to fix it.
  23. I work as a boat Tech at a marina and we will put stabil in the tank, fog the engine, pull the plugs and give them a shot of the fogger in the cylinder and disconnect the battery, or pull it out depending on what the customer wants. I would recommend keeping the battery in a warmer place because we have had them freeze before, and also the cold weather isn't exactly good for it. If you wanted, you can get by running a few tanks with stabil through it when you know it is starting to get cold out. I wouldn't bother draining the floats personally.
  24. I lived in Ingleside, Texas which is right by Corpus Christi. I was about 10-15 min from Port Aransas, depending how I hit the ferry. My DSM still isn't very pretty, but it has come a long way. I got rear ended he day after I bought it. Well here is a teaser pic, I will post more about this project later if anyone is interested. http://i51.photobucket.com/albums/f374/tindall2006/100_2758.jpg http://i51.photobucket.com/albums/f374/tindall2006/100_2770.jpg I have since rattle bombed the hood, cut a few dents out of the roof with a jig saw and other little things.
