  1. Only special service tools I remember using were cam holders. Make sure you have a good set of quick disconnect tools for the trans and fuel lines. Edit: look into getting/borrowing this kit if you want the least amount of trouble. OTC 6488 4.0 SOHC Cam service kit.
  2. ¯\_(ツ)_/¯ Somebody should change my user title to thread killer. If you dare listen to this shit, I hope it stays stuck in your head for days.
  3. To be honest I started hearing these because of Forza Horizon, but they are not something I am embarrassed to listen to. Clay - Have you heard Levels(feat. Skrillex)?
  4. FYI, I have no idea why the pics were not working or how long they were not working. I can understand that. Were you around the car any when it was in Columbus? If someone knew for sure that they would buy it, I would consider driving it up there myself. If anybody wants to see any other pictures of it, let me know. It's a well kept car that has not seen much of winter.
  5. Haha. That is not a good enough reason. I have no issue driving it halfway. I am going to post this up on ls1 tech this weekend. Just wanted to let cr to get at it first.
  6. I would consider it, but I am not sure on the cost to ship from SC. Hah. Its this cheap light duty electric chainsaw. Works good. Great for small enough things.
  7. Here are some pics of the other wheels. They are brand new and only this one has even been out of the box. http://www.the3rdhonk.com/lsx/DSC_4654.JPG http://www.the3rdhonk.com/lsx/DSC_4655.JPG http://www.the3rdhonk.com/lsx/DSC_4656.JPG http://www.the3rdhonk.com/lsx/DSC_4657.JPG Here are some full size pics, if your connection can handle it. :gabe: Pic 1 Pic 2 Pic 3 Pic 4
  8. Thanks everyone for the compliments! Yes, I am located barely 5 minutes south of the North Carolina border, near Charlotte. I understand that this is quite a long distance for-sale ad, but the cars history with other members here, I figured I'd list it.
  9. ***Some of the text is copied from previous sale ad.*** 1998 Camaro Z28, 6-speed manual with 115,xxx miles T-tops, gray leather, power everything. Looking to get $7,000 obo Mod list: -SLP lid w/ K&N filter -Edelbrock longtubes & offroad Y -QTP electric cutout -Ported & polished throttle body -LS6 intake -LS7 clutch -Pro5.0 w/ factory Hurst knob -Dynotuned by IPS Motorsports -160* t-stat -18x9.5 front and 18x10.5 rear; black c6z06 wheels, with nt555's. -KYB AGX shocks with Strano lowering springs -UMI adjustable panhard bar -Alpine CDA9884 head unit w/ ipod hookup -BLS HID Projector retrofit package -Rear fenders have been rolled by IPS Motorsports. The car also has tinted windows, black housed turn signals, black billet grille, and a black (plastidip flat black, original gloss black underneath) tail panel. Great condition inside and out. The paint on the rear bumper has a lackluster touch up job (done by a previous owner). The interior has the typical scuff on the driver's seat bolster, and there is also a hole in the carpet near the gas pedal. The AC compressor is leaking. The passenger side window motor is slow going up. The body and paint looks great. Overall the car is very nice and clean, especially for being almost 15 years old with over 100k. The car runs and drives fantastic. The stock dyno numbers were 301whp/324wtq and after the mods and tune it is making 355whp/368wtq. It has responded very well to the mods and is a blast to drive. Along with the car, I have a few things to toss in; -3.73 gears with ~2000 miles on them with a great pattern. -Pair of chrome c6z06 wheels with 305/35zr18 nt555r's that were at one time on atomic fusion's vette (not anywhere close to lightly used or new, but still stick to the road real good) -set of 4 'deep dish' replica c5 widespoke wheels -I have the old b&m pro ripper (the one with the 2 piece handle) -second set of clear glass t-tops Thread from ls1tech where I installed my BLS Hid kit. http://ls1tech.com/forums/stereo-electronics/1546983-bls-98-02-projector-retro-installed.html http://www.the3rdhonk.com/lsx/DSC_4560.JPG http://www.the3rdhonk.com/lsx/DSC_4565.JPG http://www.the3rdhonk.com/lsx/DSC_4566.JPG http://www.the3rdhonk.com/lsx/DSC_4569.JPG http://www.the3rdhonk.com/lsx/DSC_4571.JPG Ill see if I have any pics of the extras. 10. I know what you mean. My stainless is scratched like light swirl marks on paint. The rhino top is alright til you try and write on it. (Dont know if coating is consistent on all of the tops, but one of my coworkers top sucks to write on)
  11. +1. My stainless top is scratched like hell, but I'd rather have that than a rubber mat that will absorb spills. I can take a greasy, disgusting part and slap it down; and only need a paper towel to clean it up. Plus it makes a great writing surface.
  12. Looks good. My snap on guy has one of those on his truck right now, same color. Check with your guys on the recall that they have on those boxes. Its for the top two drawers having a detent installed in the slides, when it should not be. From what I heard Thursday, it's a simple fix. That built in power center is badass.
  13. In addition to everything said already, the v8 versions had a hydraulic cooling fan. :dumb:
  14. Bigger Picture No, they are knockoff c6z06 wheels made by oewheels. This forum is a great place to be and tons of people will help you with legit information, IF its asked in a forum section where trolling is not allowed. As for info that may help you, this is for all other intents and purposes ColumbusLSX.
  15. You were lied to, welcome to the forum.
  16. Correct, SC has no emissions or general vehicle inspections.
  17. Charlotte and the surrounding area is a great place to live. Granted I don't spend much time in the city. The weather has been great, I think we've only been into the 20's twice this season. Last summer did get 'hot', but not a Charleston, Columbia or Atlanta kind of hot. I live in South Carolina, east of 77 and just south of the border. The taxes are different here and you do not have vehicle inspections. In the end tax wise everything will wash out, but living in Mecklenburg county is where you will probably spend the most money.
  18. Fuck yes! No replies in almost 3 days, I fist-fucked the hell out of this thread.
  19. I agree 100%, but it would be an easier approach for someone without experience. I was just trying to save him from blowing up a meter.
  20. Get a clamp style ammeter from sears or a parts store and put it around your negative battery cable. Find out what your reading is after sitting long enough for all the modules to sleep.
