I have that problem, was cleaning out the garage a few weeks ago, I started the camaro backed it out and let idle in the drive way for a few not even 5min go by and CPD is sitting behind my car staring then they drive off

I was at the Dayton air show 2 years ago and they had an F-18 fly by doing that, said that's right at the point of breaking the sound barrier but the pilot wasn't allowed since there were so many cars in parking lot and generally their not suppose to do that over the U.S. main land over heavy residential areas, but damn that was an awesome sight and very loud

I always take a heavy duty tool bag with shoulder strap easy to carry around, tools I take are basic 3/8 metric socket set 10-19mm basic 8-14mm 1/4 socket set, the only 1/2" sockets needed always seem to be 17, 19, and 21, extensions for sockets, a 24" 1/2drive ratchet(my substitute for a breaker bar), 3/8 ratchet, 1/4 ratchet, 3/8 6 piece allen socket set and 6 piece torx socket set, #2 and #3 phillips screwdrivers, large flat head screwdriver for prying purposes and a smaller one for smaller items and interior prying, 32oz hammer, wire cutters, basic pliers, needle nose pliers, standerd size channel locks and a 1/2" cordless impact with reducer. all that fits into to the bag I carry without any issues or pain to carry around

the F-body input shaft I think is different vs. the GTO. the F-body one I have has 31 teeth on the gear, double check the tooth count on yours, I think the Vette input shaft is compatable with the GTO but I'm not 100% sure, also the length might be different. BTW check your countershaft too, if you broke the teeth on the input shaft you may have damaged the countershaft as well, countershaft part from GM is $1499.99 Goodale had it for $380ish I know because I broke 2 of them here's another site to check: http://www.thegearbox.org/T56.html

sucks bad for the pilot but at least they lived, I'd rather be known as the guy that crashed a AH-64 vs. a B-2

one of our used car trade in's was trailblazer that had a failing front diff, it actually exploded on the test drive when the salesmen took it out, it came back with the yoke missing, you could see the internal gears of the diff, destroyed the power steering rack crushing the pressure lines, beat the converter up, destroyed the drive shaft from the diff to the transfer case, U-joints were fucked, it was a mess, they gave it to me to fix and after I did all the work they turned around wholesaled it

yes its still for sale I bought this one for the same reason you bought yours but every time someone would stay the night they'd sleep on the couch so this thing was a waste of money since it never got used now putting it up and down isn't bad at all it moves easy
