ok first off, its not a hobo parts motor lol. all parts have and will be bought from jegs except pistons (who i bought from the guy that lives next to me) and my heads lol as for the trans, its getting the turbo 400 bc that car will get beat on constantly and i would like it to last for a bit. most of this came around because i just like talking shit to scott and if this motor makes i think it should, it should be a good 1/4 mile race with him on spray. and paul, get your broke ass junk outa here lol. ive seen you race scott on motor and if my car makes even near the same power as his, my car is also like 500 pounds lighter, so ill let your imagination figure out how that will end..

Its probably worth it depending on condition of everything and mileage on the rest of the car. Hell i paid 2700 for my 96 with 113k miles on it (they wanted 4200 for it). As for getting a new motor for it, depends on the mileage you can settle with. I got my newish one from a junk yard that checks everythinng out before they sell with 50k on the clock for $900. Although you could just go to pick n pull and get one for cheap.

Point is, most stuff like that breaking depends more on how the owners treat the vehicles and not as much a 'flaw' from the factory.
