That sounds like the exact opposite of what I'd expect. Fickell got most of his "knowledge" under Heacock who was all about getting pressure with the DL and playing zone. Meyer was the one pushing for more pressure/blitzing in the early part of last season. Specifically after the UCF game and I remember one of the earliest plays in the next game (Cal) due to Meyer asking for that was a CB blitz which resulted in a sack by Roby. The update that came out the other day only helped people getting online/past that first race. Still lots of problems with stuff not saving/people losing stuff. One of my friends lost basically everything he had done from earlier this morning until about 5-6PM. He was a level 38 or 39 and came back as a 32 with about $300k less and didn't have a truck he had bought and upgraded a bunch. I lost maybe a level or two yesterday and $10-20k but nothing to be too upset about. My best advice is to do as much as you can through the in-game phone and not through the Xbox guide/friend's list and even back out to single player before starting a set of missions/races whatever with other people since that forces a save.

Another likely referee gaffe costing a team a game tonight. Texas down 6 with less than 2 to play get down inside the Iowa State 5. Texas' RB gets stripped at the one and the Iowa State player had nothing but green in front of him. He gets about 10 yards down field with the ball before a whistle blows. They rule him down, NOT by stopped forward progress (which would have been a BS call as well), play is reviewed, play somehow stands. Texas ends up getting a TD and PAT for a 1-point lead. Iowa State had just 55 seconds and no timeouts left, got across midfield then a crazy deflected pass is intercepted... game over. The record for "loudest stadium in the world" up until a couple weeks ago when Seattle went for and broke the record was 131.7 dB so they were pretty loud tonight in Columbus. And Gameday will be at the Northwestern game. OSU wins 68% of their games at Gameday sites so that's not bad.

Using rankings like that this early in the season is a little weak. And Wisconsin's secondary is not good. But they're still not as bad as Cal who I believe has shuffled people around all season due to people just not being good and some injuries.

Pay attention when doing assassinations for Lester.

I'm just not that confident in OSU's defense shutting down Wisconsin's running game. It's all they have to do since the defensive backfield can handle Wisconsin's WR's but I'm just not that confident they will do it. Would love to be wrong though.

And don't forget Michael Bennett. He didn't play against FAMU and will be back 100% for Wisconsin. Vegas has OSU -7 and the O/U at 52.5. I think the over is a no brainer but still a little uneasy about the actual outcome of the game. Melvin Gordon averages almost 10ypc for his career and OSU's defense hasn't shown to be the best tacklers over the last 16 games. Could be in for a bit of a shootout.

Meyer will start the right guy. Even coming off injuries players under Urban have to earn their spot back in practice. He seemed happy with what he saw from Braxton on Sunday so we'll see if he continues to be happy with him through the week. Should know more tomorrow with Urban's call-in show. And the comment about the undefeated season not meaning anything because there was no championship... :dumb:

No way Miller takes a medical redshirt. According to "insiders" he was really aiming to have a huge year and leave early. Obviously this injury has thrown a wrench in things but he could still come back and have a huge year in conference play, win a conference title, a national title, etc. and leave early. I don't see that happening but it's possible. Either way I can't see a situation with him not playing a lot moving forward. But I do think we're going to see a senior season for Braxton Miller. Might be tricky for him as a senior though. Replacing 4 OL, Fields, Philly, top 2 RB's and maybe the OC/QB coach. But Urban's OC/QB coach from Utah and Florida may be available after this season so that would be real convenient.
