Don't really like the NFL but Peyton is a boss.

Culver's changed something in the last year or so. I used to love hitting up the one in Reynoldsburg every once in a while but now their cheese is scary orange, the burgers come in boxes and overall the taste isn't right.

nevada posted a nice metric OSU is using to grade offensive efficiency. For the first 17 plays of the game, OSU's offense had a 91.1% efficiency rating. Rest of the game? 73.8%. What changed on the 18th play? 5th year senior center and team captain Corey Linsley went out of the game (as planned due to rehabbing an injury) and was replaced by true sophomore Jacoby Boren. I think Boren didn't do too bad all things considered and may end up contributing more than I expected (dumb to doubt any Boren I guess) but a 3 year difference in experience, training, conditioning, etc. definitely seemed to show.

I've offered it up on these forums before but my preferred method of "execution" for someone like this is and always will be scaphism. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Scaphism

Definitely the only downside here. Should have let him "enjoy" gen pop for a bit. On one hand, the dude pussed out. On the other, he saved the country some money.

Most people in the south (where Cane's and Zaxby's originated) say they're largely the same but Cane's sauce is usually better because they make it in the store. Zaxby's is pre-packaged like the sauces you get at McDonald's or Wendy's for nuggets.

I thought it wasn't a very good game. Henne and Hart banged up, was a steady mist coming down the whole game, OSU ran the ball about 800 times. Beanie was an absolute warrior that day though. He had what? A sprained knee, a broken bone in his wrist, a bone bruise on his shin? All kinds of shit. Carried it almost 40 times for over 200 yards. He ended up with a bit of a reputation for not knowing the difference between being "hurt" and being injured but that game he balled out with very real injuries. But I guess that's the difference between being a sophomore and being a junior in your money year.

I was behind a guy in line one time who was a Cane's master. Ordered stuff extra crispy, both sides of the "bread" as he said it buttered and toasted, etc., etc. I was blown away sitting behind him in line listening. He's my inspiration.

I was actually going to reply to the other Wolverine fan in here earlier by saying I love it when they're smug and arrogant. Beating the wet noodles they had become wasn't nearly as fun as the wins in 2002 (locked up the national title game bid), 2004 (underdogs, Troy went off), 2005 (@ Michigan, Gonazalez had "The Catch"), 2006 (no explanation needed), 2007 (Henne and Hart weren't 100% but it sealed their careers at 0-4 against OSU) and last year (locked up the undefeated season, Urban starts off 1-0). The wins in 2008-2010 were largely joyless. Aside from seeing OSU fans take over Michigan's stadium and doing the O-H-I-O chant in 2009.

I actually drove from Pickerington to one of the Cane's on OSU's campus one night (since they're open until 3AM vs. midnight everywhere else) and did that. I'm close enough that when I get it from the drive thru I can make it home or to my office without it getting too bad. But I definitely know to do that if I'm not going to be eating the food within the next 10 minutes or so.

These are always great reads... http://www.elevenwarriors.com/2013/09/25441/ohio-state-v-buffalo-offensive-breakdown Haven't read it yet but Ross gave a little summary in his post on Scout... basically once Braxton starts actually reading on the read plays instead of going in pre-determined in what he's going to do then things will look a lot better.

Still #2 in coaches poll, still 3 1st place votes. Suck a dick, AP.

Cincy fan on reddit is raging over them not being in the top 25 after blowing out Purdue. :dumb: http://i.imgur.com/GokjkXd.png Yes, I downvoted all the Cincy fans. For the lulz. Edit: More of the same poster being mad... http://i.imgur.com/0Bo0tIW.png

Yeah I remember watching the OSU game thinking... will Oregon jump us? Checked who they were playing... nope, not gonna happen. :lolguy: We'll see what happens with the coaches poll. Obviously the AP doesn't really matter.
-
Very similar to when he was at OSU. They had to go to him his freshman year because Boeckman was a statue and the O-line was less than good. And I absolutely hope he does well. What he and the rest of the guys involved in OSU's thing did was embarrassingly insignificant and what it resulted in was ridiculous.

Also, Pryor is starting for Oakland. :fuckyeah:

The thing with Winston was that he liked Tressel and he loves baseball. Tressel was gone and FSU is a great baseball school. Once Tressel was gone so was any chance with Winston.
-
So Jameis Winston looks disgusting. First ever college football game (RS Fr.) opening the season with a conference game on the road... 25/27 for 356 yards and 4 TD's (3 to Jack Nicklaus' grandson Nick O'Leary). Added 25 yards and another TD on the ground.

True. Man I love Kenny G.

I didn't watch the game but looking at the box score I'm slightly puzzled as to how they put up 59. Blocked punt accounts for 7 but that still leaves 12 more points than OSU on just 3 more yards while turning the ball over basically the same number of times as OSU (3 INT's for Michigan, 1 INT, 1 fumble lost and 1 turnover on downs for OSU). On the topic of next week, unless OSU has a bunch of return yards/TD's, they need to put up at least 550 yards and 50 points against SDSU. Eastern Illinois put up over 500 and 40.
-
Michigan's backup QB - 67% completion, 1 INT, 0 TD's OSU's backup QB - 100% completion, 1 TD, 0 INT's :gabe:

Mack mostly abused true sophomore RT Taylor Decker. His first career start and it wasn't pretty. He won't go up against guys like Mack the rest of the season though. That guy was just on fire yesterday. Made himself some money in the NFL draft I have to imagine. He's going to set the NCAA career record for TFL this season as long as he doesn't get hurt. Mack was straight bull rushing guys who outweighed him by 50-60lbs. Monster.
-
Yep. It was amazing how the offense just looked completely shut off once Linsley came out. Wish they could have gone full on for 2-2 1/2 quarters then nothing but backups. Having Braxton and most of the first teamers out there with less than 5 minutes in the 4th was unsettling. I want to see 60+ against SDSU. They were absolutely dominated by Eastern Illinois.

The defense didn't even do that poorly. Offense's "jacking around" basically gave Buffalo 13 points. Buffalo really had 2 good drives. One was resulted in a TD, the other resulted in a turnover on downs inside the 5 where they really killed themselves. But they had some BS penalties help them along the way. A properly hydrated Shazier and getting Roby and Barnett back... defense will be more than fine. I was definitely more disappointed in the offense yesterday. Especially after they gave us that taste of what they were capable of in the first quarter.
