Was going to say this but wasn't 100% sure if the Wii really didn't do HD or if my cousin just had hers set up shitty. Probably especially important now that Netflix has stuff in 1080p as well.
-
I used to reset it just out of paranoia. Now I just let it go. Was a little skeptical when I found out it was "all-in-one" because of how bad the home gateway thing was through U-verse but this thing has been fantastic.
-
Really wish they'd do 50/10 and 30/5. 50 is kinda overkill but I like having the 5.

Also using my own router without a problem.

Crazy improvement over the old box from them. Seriously felt like a 20-30 year jump in technology coming from that old calculator-looking UI. Had 2 HD DVR's, 50 down/5 up and advanced/whatever phone, was up near $200/mo. Switched to Ultra and it has the gateway (modem/cable box/phone/DVR all in one box) then 2 media players come with it. Does more than the 2 HD DVR's did (2 streams per box vs. 6 streams total with Ultra) and it's a little cheaper actually (think $185ish/mo now).

Yeah, user Spankis on here took his Xbox with him to a training thing in Phoenix a couple years ago and it took a while to figure out how to set it up then it was pretty much unplayable for him. When he had to go there again a year later he didn't bother taking his Xbox. Have another friend who just got a job where he'll be traveling a lot and he's been looking into how to bring his Xbox with him to play and I've told him it'll probably be pretty rough trying to play on Xbox Live and probably almost impossible to stream HQ from Netflix or Hulu.

This should do the trick... http://www.360tuneup.com/guides/hotel.asp

Ahh I hadn't seen that they announced the official price increases. Just the stuff a couple days ago talking about it being a possibility.
-
Yeah, they're planning on raising prices all around. Non-"premium" games will go up and games like the Michigan game will be $125+. I can't blame them. So much money is made on the secondary market with these tickets and I'd like nothing more than for that money to go straight to the football program instead.

So with Crowell and O'Connor gone after yesterday looks like OSU will take 3-4 more in this class. Gotta like their chances with James Clark after Urban snuck in and stole his last official visit from Florida. Lots of people thinking Dontre Wilson will flip from Oregon. Some staff members down in Mississippi today to check on the Corey Smith situation. Obviously staff is still holding out hope for Vonn Bell. And they really want/need an OL but I don't know who. With the only Colorado player on the roster leaving to be closer to home (O'Connor) you've gotta think that eliminates Skipper. And Cameron Hunt is staying out west. Just under 2 weeks to go until signing day.

Well that's a deal breaker.

That's pretty much the perfect way to describe it.

I'm just sitting back and letting the Te'o thing resolve itself. I don't care that much but I definitely don't care at all about the insane speculation going on right now. The truth will ultimately come out and there will be a lot of people feeling like idiots one way or the other.

Looks like quite a bit of action regarding the 2014 class today. Another Glenville kid offered (should make 3 OSU takes from there this year then), a kid from Akron who may be confused about having an offer, then a 4* ATH out of Jersey who said OSU is his dream school.
-
Apparently Urban offered a couple more Oregon commits. Dude is just cold-blooded...lol. Tyree and Tyrell Robinson. Twin brothers. One is more a WR, the other an OLB/S type guy. Both pretty highly rated 4* players. For OSU to fit them in Corey Smith's transcripts would have to not check out, Dontre Wilson would have to remain uninterested (maybe a race between Wilson and the Robinson brothers to ditch Oregon and come to OSU?), Vonn Bell would have to go to Bama, etc., etc. Obviously also have no idea what their interested level is but one of them tweeted about the offer after OSU called them.
-
Have to wonder if he got wind of the forthcoming NCAA sanctions. Every Oregon fan was rejoicing when they thought he had decided to stay because 1) he's a good coach and 2) it meant any incoming sanctions couldn't be that bad. To do a 180 like this a lot of them are pretty terrified now. I think they should be just based on what I know about it. Obviously the NCAA knows more and is wildly inconsistent so they still may just get a slap on the wrist. But they have to know it's possible they just got Pete Carroll'd.

Chip Kelly to the Eagles. Dontre Wilson, come on down! You're the next contestant on OSU's Desperation WR Grab!

You can read quite a few. Especially all the ones that were hating on Ohio/Urban. There was a 15+ page thread about the initial article talking about Urban "going for a big flip" and all the posts were readable. I think they got most of the meltdown under control though so a lot of the good stuff is back a few pages. That forum is surprisingly active.

Welp, right on cue... Harris is football only now. MSU is screwed. "I'm still committed, but I'm also looking at Notre Dame, Michigan, Ohio State, Florida, Alabama, Georgia and Florida State," he said. "I just talked to Coach [Tom] Izzo and told him that I'm planning on just playing football," he said. "I talked to coach [Mark] Dantonio and told him I'm still committed there, but I'm opening up my recruitment. I'm starting to look at more of the bigger football schools since I'm just playing football now."
-
If you want enjoyment just read these MSU forums. This might be the most mad I've seen since Lebron left Cleveland. And this kid hasn't even left them. http://michiganstate.247sports.com/Board/Michigan-State-Spartans-Message-Board-Forum-93

I really wonder why he's an OSU fan sometimes. Like I said on the Priester topic, I think the GA thing has some effect on it but it's probably got more to do with backing up Corey Smith/showing Taivon Jacobs if he visits Maryland they'll have no problem filling his spot. If Priester tried to commit today I doubt they'd accept it. If they were desperate they'd offer a bunch of kids and take the first one to commit. They're "offering" kids to let them know they're interested in the event their better options don't pan out.
-
He's a backup plan. Could be 2 things working here... 1) Have been rumblings of Taivon Jacobs visiting Maryland. An "offer" to Priester tells Jacobs, hey, you take that visit, we've got a replacement ready. Say bye bye. 2) Obviously if Smith's stuff doesn't check out (not only has he been to 2 JUCO's already, apparently even his HS transcripts were funky before that) then they might take Priester. Both of those situations should be resolved before Priester's supposed visit and if they are I doubt the visit takes place or if it does he'd get the Shayne Hale treatment where you just hang out in your host's dorm room and eat Wendy's. Edit: And also what LJ said. Forgot he was from GA. Read the stuff on him earlier this morning and just remembered he was an NC St. commit. If your backup plan can do a little bit to help reel in some of the big GA fish next year then it's even better.

Read some more on MSU boards about Harris (because someone said they were basically melting down over the article where he said he had a lot of interest in OSU now and was going to visit soon...lol) and also read some more stuff just in general. Some say he could be the #1 WR in the country for the 2014 class. Rumors (oh rumors) that his HS coaches have said that he's beginning to realize that football is his golden ticket and he needs to focus more on that. And IF he goes that way it could very well be wide open because apparently MSU's football staff hasn't paid much attention to him. He's very much an MSU basketball commit. But if he commits more to football he'll probably restart the recruiting process. Maybe that started with the visit from Urban yesterday.
-
Yeah I know nothing about him. Izzo is a tough nut to crack. And kids these days are more aware than ever that basketball is obviously the safer sport with all the concussion shit going on with the NFL now. Looks like the kid is rated pretty equally in both football and basketball so definitely wouldn't be a dumb move to stick with basketball and Izzo.
