What "hardcore market" are you referencing? I understand someone saying that Xbox One seems to be focusing on being an all-in-one entertainment solution more than just a gaming machine is a negative thing for some "hardcore" gamers but at the same time Microsoft has once again locked up exclusive rights to certain things that a large "hardcore" market is going to feel it needs. Like Call of Duty DLC a month before any other platform and FIFA Ultimate Teams being entirely Xbox One-exclusive. COD and FIFA are two of the most "hardcore" markets I can think of.

None of the maps on BO2 play "big". I don't even think any of them are that big. I hated basically every DLC map for MW3 because they were giant. Most BO2 maps have a standard design pattern because of how hard they wanted to push competitive play (league play, MLG-type stuff, etc.). There's a middle route and 2 to the outside.

Not sure what kind of "innovation" you're looking for but Ghosts will have the first all-new game engine in a COD game since COD 2. Every single COD since then has used an upgraded version of the same engine. Coming out November 5th on PS3 and Xbox 360 and at a later date TBA on the next gen consoles. Date will almost certainly be announced during the next Xbox reveal on May 21.

I think the B1G showed decently against the SEC last bowl season. Went 1-2 in Jan. 1 games against the SEC with 2 of the top 4 teams in the league ineligible for post-season play meaning everyone was moved up against competition that was technically 2 spots better than they should have been playing. Michigan barely lost to South Carolina and Nebraska was a lot closer to Georgia than the score showed.

Bama will be #1 overall in the coaches/AP polls going into the season. Those polls don't rank based on where they think teams will finish as much as that article does. They right in the article that OSU isn't better than Bama, just has a better chance of going undefeated. OSU does need to start probably in the top 4 to guarantee that an undefeated season gets them into the national title game. While a lot of people are in denial that an undefeated OSU team could get left out over an undefeated team from any other conference or perhaps even a 1-loss SEC team I could absolutely see it happening. Need to be top 4 with 2 SEC teams ahead of them and a team like Oregon or Louisville who will also have relative weak schedules and potentially drop a game.

Cal game could get picked up by Fox as a night game due to their deal with the Pac 12. And the no night games in November "rule", according to Delany, was never actually a rule. They just strongly discouraged them. Said PSU, Nebraska and OSU have been pushing hard for more night games and that the conference will not stand in the way of a November night game anymore. Some BTN primetime games have already been announced and OSU isn't one of them... Marquez. Kid's won 2 of the last 3 championships in the class he's been in. Probably could have gone 3 for 3 if it weren't for some bad luck in his first year in Moto2 (crashes early on in the season then missed the last 2 races due to injury and still came in 2nd).

Ron Howard does great work with "based on a true story" or historical stuff. Apollo 13, A Beautiful Mind and Cinderella Man were all great with Apollo 13 and A Beautiful Mind being among my favorite movies.
