Jim Heacock re-joining the staff in a support position. Basically gets to do everything he likes to do (gameplan, watch film, etc.) while getting to avoid everything he doesn't like to do (recruit, deal with media, etc.). Really happy since I loved what he did under Tressel but I am interested to see how his style clashes with Urban's desire to attack attack attack. Heacock gave Urban his first real coaching job at Illinois St. after Urban was a GA at OSU so there won't be any problem on a personal level but we all saw how upset Urban seemed with Fickell's attempt at the Heacock-style defense in the first half of last season.

I always liked Roby. Like a lot. He and Hankins were my favorites from that class. Insane they both ended up panning out like they did. Thought Roby would have a Malcolm Jenkins-esque start where he just came out of no where and played as a true frosh but he did have to take the RS which led me to Hankins who didn't redshirt which was pretty surprising actually since he had a few different issues coming in (weight/conditioning, grades, etc.) but he was just too much of a disruptive force to leave off the field. Coach Coombs is really just the best.

Of course, all the other B1G fans are chalking Pittman's departure up to Urban freeing up roster space and nothing more. Ignoring the fact that Pittman's own HS coach came out in his hometown paper and basically said the kid could be real good if he actually commits himself to being a football player. When met with that fact MSU fans said it was just an Ohio coach not wanting to bemoan Urban Meyer. Ignoring another fact, that Pittman's HS coach was actually publicly upset with him when he backed out of his commitment to MSU to switch to OSU. Basically Pittman's HS coach is a straight shooter but MSU/B1G fans only hear what they want.

RIP Dale. His comic death was so badass but he wanted off the show because of the way Darabont had to leave so he ended up being disemboweled by a ninja zombie in the middle of a field.

First day of spring practice was yesterday. Everyone raving about Jordan Hall as the slot/H-back/Percy position guy. And redshirt freshman Sevon Pittman is gone. One of the highly rated DL recruits Urban stole to close out the 2012 class. Rumors that he was lazy or had off the field issues that people hope a simple change of scenery can fix.

I thought random guy was another little reminder of the world they now live in. You can't just stop to help someone. It could be a trap. You slow to check on him/help him and boom... ambush. And no Andrea is always a plus. Which is another item on the long list of things the TV show has ruined from the comic. She was great in the comic. I guess they could be setting her up for a redemption story to settle all of this prison/Woodbury stuff but she's been pretty stupid and annoying this season. Also, on a positive note, this most recent episode (which a lot of people including myself really liked) was written by the guy who was promoted to showrunner to replace Mazzara. So maybe there's hope.

Just another thing the TV show has ruined from the comic... Carl. They've tried to redeem him a bit this season but it was too sudden/forced. He was awesome from the start in the comic. A bit of a sociopath but he was never an annoyance as he was for the first 2 seasons of the show.

This may have been the best episode since season 1. The "creepy" factor that's been missing since then returned. Got to see Morgan again. Michonne made a joke and wasn't a bitch the whole time. There wasn't anything blatantly retarded or anything that completely destroyed another plot point from the comics. Was really happy with what I saw then they play the preview for next week and Andrea... bleh... the Governor... bleh. Just going to go right back to being terrible.

Umm... no they didn't. Obviously everyone knows it's coming but they haven't had any official event/announcement for it yet. People saying April is when that should happen.

New Xbox should be coming out right around the same time as PS4. They just haven't had some weak-ass "announcement" yet like Sony did.

Really had to think hard before opening mine and playing it on launch day. Looking back I definitely should have sold it. Wound up playing Halo 2 on my original Xbox until Halo 3 finally came out anyways.

I remember when I first got into PC building AMD was pretty solidly ahead of Intel. First 3-4 builds I ever did were AMD. Ever since Intel busted out the Core 2 series though they just skipped right to the front of the line and haven't looked back. Haven't even considered an AMD build since then.

There was a good number that came out of the van but the rest we saw wandering the yard at the end just came in through the fences the van took down as they were drawn to the noise. The assault by the Governor was actually pretty weak and it was pretty weak for him and his guys to just leave thinking they had dealt a devastating blow to the prison group. In the comics the first assault by the Governor and his men is ended because they underestimated Rick's group and had to retreat as they lost too many men and knew the prison was too strong with what they had brought. They didn't just randomly decide to leave thinking they had won.

Yeah I hope that snaps Rick out of it. But knowing the show's history I'm sure there's more Ghost Lori to be seen. I know there are some pretty big gun nuts on here... Governor's gun during the assault (and what a bitch-made assault that was) was... an AUG?

BTW this wasn't just some pretty light show for the Russians... over 700 people were injured from the various damage caused by the blast (collapsed parts of buildings, shattered windows, etc., etc.).
