It did. They actually just announced the spring practice schedule.

And now nevada posting that the James Quick saga isn't over. Some "non-insider" from Louisville posted that almost immediately after Quick committed during the Army game and was mocked for it. Looks like he may have known something after all. Maybe there was some truth to the rumors that Quick's dad nixed OSU the week of the Army game and maybe Quick is working on getting pops to let him go where he really wants.

Have to wonder if Gibson's grades have taken a turn for the worse... former Akron Buchtel WR and current JUCO WR Corey Smith is visiting this weekend. Currently committed to Mississippi St. Bill Greene from Scout has him on commitment alert now for this weekend.

Yeah, there's no reason for Hall not to have received his medical redshirt. And unless I'm having a brain fart here, no one wears #1 on offense right now right? I know Roby wears it on defense and people have talked about him possibly going both ways. Wonder if Jalin or Zeke will take #1.
-
Yeah, I had just read that about Smith. Think it would be nice to get one of their OL for sure though. This is all way premature though since this thing with Kelly could very well just be a money grab.
-
They had to be pumping him full of valium or xannies or something this season. Dude was way too calm compared to the year before. OSU still wants an offensive lineman real bad. John Montelus was supposedly very strongly considering flipping to OSU a couple months ago but it got quieted down when ND had such a strong season. Then aside from him they have 3-4 other 4* OT's committed. All from the midwest. At least 2 of which OSU at the very least offered (McGovern and Bivins). Then like you said they've got Jaylon. Not sure how they'd fit him in since they just took Mitchell and Johnson and are almost definitely taking Chris Worley as well. But he's the #1 LB in the country and a brother of a current player... if he wanted to come here I think they'd have to find a way. Then another brother in Heuerman. Been some very low rumblings of Jeff possibly pulling a Fragel and going to OT for OSU. Then if Vonn Bell starts to trend back towards Bama, Max Redfield is a kid who had some interest within the last month or so.

Brian Kelly interviewed for the Eagles job and reports that the Bears are also interested. Oh man there are some kids in their class I'm sure Urban would pounce on.
-
I think someone posted that here before? Maybe I just saw it on reddit. Was a couple weeks ago. It's actually their strength and conditioning coordinator's office. Basically just public humiliation to try and motivate those guys to get their shit together. Personally, I like it. If you're going to be a lazy sack of shit and try to use LSU or OSU or Alabama or wherever to get you to the next level then someone should call you out on it.

Yeah, when I say "losable" I mean there is any chance at all to lose the game. Slipping up anywhere outside those 4 games is so unlikely it would be crazy. And of those 4 games, just like you, on the road against Michigan and Northwestern are the scariest. Here's Schlabach's ultra-early top 25 for 2013... http://espn.go.com/college-football/story/_/id/8778225/alabama-crimson-tide-headline-college-football-way-too-early-2013-top-25 Rittenberg's power rankings for the B1G... http://espn.go.com/blog/ncfnation/post/_/id/75719/early-big-ten-power-rankings-for-2013 Michigan at 5...lololololololololol.

That's an interesting prediction. 2 losses and ranked 7th would almost have to mean 1 regular season/B1G title game loss then a loss in the bowl game as well. The games I'd consider "losable" next season... 9/14 @Cal 9/28 Wisconsin 10/5 @Northwestern 11/30 @Michigan @Cal just because it's a road game, new coach could have them fired up, not like Cal is FCS. Wisconsin because it's Wisconsin and I actually really like their new coach. @Northwestern because there have been some strange games in Evanston over the years and they're not exactly a bad, academic school anymore. Then @Michigan needs no explanation.

nevada had Farris as a projected starter. Not Baldwin. And that was just during a bye week I think to generate discussion/be provocative. Latest projected OL's I've read (not sure if from nevada but I think so - talked about it in a thread where he talked about Norwell coming back)... LT Mewhort LG Decker C Linsley RG Hall RT Norwell The staff told Norwell they'd give him a shot at tackle again to entice him to stick around. Again, the biggest reason Norwell was even considering leaving was because he's not into the whole school thing. Not because he was going to be a high pick or anything. Hall played really well the last few games of the season so the notion that Farris might surpass him faded away. And they feel they need to get Decker out there somewhere. Obviously this will continue to change like crazy.

So Tuberville and his staff are banned from Massillon Washington because of the way they treated Kyle Kempt when Tuberville came to Cincy. Good start for Tommy.

Remember when reading info from Bill Kurelic, everything is 50/50...lol. Thomas' dad has already come out and said that Blake talked with Hinton recently and is definitely not leaving and working hard to hopefully make an impact someday. Doesn't mean he won't transfer out after the spring. Kid is well behind Vannett and Heuerman and Baugh will be ahead of him the second he steps on campus. Really excited to see Baugh with Urban here. Will be used exactly like Hernandez was at Florida. TE screens, flexed out wide, etc., etc. Those other names are pretty obvious. I think any OSU fan who pays attention could have come up with that list and had a good chance of being right on at least 2-3 of them.

I think the top 3 will mirror the final top 3 for this season. 1. Bama - will lose some guys but just reload plus two of their most explosive playmakers this year were true freshman for fuck's sake 2. Oregon - I know they lose Barner and I don't think DAT can run between the tackles like he could but lots of other young pieces back 3. OSU - lose a good bit on defense but that side of the ball was mediocre at best for most of the season. Basically the whole offense is back and should be improved and have a talent infusion from someone like Marshall or Zeke. After that I don't really know or care right now...lol.

The SEC does it differently than any other conference. Specifically the SEC West. If you don't know enough about it then don't discuss it.
-
Spurrier isn't evil and still gives a bit of a shit about the kids he signs. Bama and LSU just oversign and cut players like it's the NFL. Obviously it gets results but it just destroys any possibility of an even playing field when a conference like the B1G is giving out 4 year scholarships now and Bama and LSU will force a medical hardship on a kid in the blink of an eye to make room.
-
It's the same every year when they're in the title game. Well, except last year when they were playing another SEC team. SEC has DE-sized LB's, DT-sized DE's, LB-sized DB's, DL-sized RB's and a disgusting OL. And they all play just as fast as your guys do but with 20lbs. of extra muscle. Urban knows what he's talking about when he says he tells his kids Bama is the gold standard and that's what they're shooting for. But it's a really hard target to hit without the oversigning practices and SEC-style recruiting.

I wish...

Funny quote from Mitchell's commit article on Scout about his younger brothers... “Mickey is a little bigger so I have to try and recruit him, but the little ones I can push around and tell them to come to Ohio State.” His younger brother Mickey is a 5-star basketball recruit for the 2015 class. Then I believe there are at least 1-2 more brothers. The Mitchell pipeline is open.

Why doesn't it look good? All they did was tweet facts.
-
People reporting that OSU coaches received call from Quick committing to OSU but former player on OSU Scout site says the opposite happened (made call, told them he's staying home). I think that twitter thing was a last-ditch effort from the staff and also a plea to any other WR's out there listening who may want to take Quick's spot. I'm just happy getting Mitchell tomorrow...lol.

Everyone at the Under Armor practices this week said Jalin looked damn good at WR for a kid who hasn't caught a lot of balls in his career. Obviously not perfect yet but basically just said "when he learns how to run routes he'll be scary." Really don't see OSU missing out on Gibson. I'm still hanging onto hope with Quick. But like I said when it was announced, Louisville going to the ACC really saved that recruitment. Without that Strong probably moves on to another SEC school and Quick is in the bag for OSU. From what I've read over the last week or so everyone expects Strong to end up at Florida when Muschamp takes over for Brown at Texas anyways. If Quick does stay home then I hope Bridgewater goes pro after Quick's freshman year and the Brown/Muschamp/Strong dominoes fall. Because I'm bitter.

Oh and to fill this double post (forgot my not using quick reply trick) Michigan commit Shane Morris was awful in the QB skills challenge yesterday by all accounts. The other players in the stands were laughing at him and even the announcers made a joke or two. It was that bad. He also dropped a very audible F-bomb on live TV when his long throw challenge fluttered like a wounded duck (as OSU commit Jalin Marshall laughed in the background). OSU TE commit Marcus Baugh won the DL skills challenge (no TE challenge so I guess he just wanted to compete in something).

As for tomorrow's Army All-American game, OSU is still set to pick up a commitment from Mike Mitchell of course. Looks like all the positive James Quick stuff early in the week was what a lot of people feared... stuff to throw people off. OSU has not been informed of his decision but for these televised announcements, TV people generally know for sure the night before. Right now they're prepping Louisville graphics for Quick's announcement.
