One of those silver lining things with not being in a bowl... Braxton is working with a private QB "guru" out in California over the holidays. George Whitfield Jr. Worked with Cam Newton, Andrew Luck, Johnny Manziel, Ben Roethlisberger, etc., etc. Whitfield has been tweeting out pics of them working today...

6:11am is the actual time of the winter solstice which is when it's all going down. Pepper as much angus as you can.

Speaking of mass suicide, any big ones planned for the 21st?

So I guess what I was reading was right. They didn't get Jones but Hazell will be making more than twice what Hope was per year and has more money to use to build his staff.

I almost think it's trying to be carbon fiber? I know when Oregon does it it's black and silver so it definitely looks like carbon fiber. You guys are Adidas though so I think the "checkers" are a little larger and less carbon fiber-y.

Only problem with Anon posting their personal info is the Westboro people love litigation so if some average Joe takes the info Anon posted and does something stupid with it the Westboro people get more of exactly what they want.

Not bad. Better than basically any alternative helmet OSU has used in the last few years. Was hoping for something with a matte finish/glossy finish combo. I'm a sucker for that (like Boise State's helmets for their game against UGA a few years ago with the "ghost" horse).

Even if he was a surprise offer or whatever, none of that matters. He looked like the best WR on the team before his injury. Had 9 catches in 5 games. The eventual leading receivers at the end of 2011 had 14 catches in 13 games. 2014 ATH Lonnie Johnson from Gary, IN is announcing his decision on Friday at 5PM. Will be a Buckeye. Almost certainly a WR. Will be a 4-star once the services update their rankings for 2014 and could go higher. Have read he has that kind of potential. Very raw.

Verlon Reed has left the OSU football team. Sucks. Was hoping he would come back from his injury but I guess he just never could. 1 transfer down, probably a few more to go. Also, something interesting came up on Scout while discussing all the possible upcoming LB commits (Mike Mitchell, Trey Johnson, Tommy Sanders). Curtis Grant's future may be at DE and the staff isn't very confident in more than about 1.5 of the LB's left on the roster going into next season (those 1.5 being Shazier, getting full confidence, and Perry getting the half...lol).

Saw it on reddit... link to the story used there... http://collegespun.com/national/report-big-east-conference-likely-to-dissolve-by-friday?utm_medium=referral&utm_source=t.co#.UMoMw-TAeYV Also, some non-Big East news that is just awesome and the best and sweet and super cool... http://espn.go.com/colleges/osu/football/story/_/id/8740926/ohio-state-buckeyes-coaches-make-fashion-statement

So Big East could dissolve tomorrow? Intredasting.

People seem to really like and respect Taggart though so USF could start climbing pretty fast again. JUCO LB Tommy Sanders apparently tried to commit to OSU, announced it on his Twitter and everything but might not be getting in. JUCO kids are iffy because so much has to be checked and re-checked as far as transcripts and whatnot are concerned. Plus he's not a kid they've been recruiting too long so they have to do a little research. May very well end up in the class but right now it looks like he jumped the gun. If he comes in then I'd probably back off on looking at Lee and Worley as potential LB's. Would probably be straight Star candidates. Everyone still saying Trey Johnson and Mike Mitchell will sign with OSU. Then they've got at least 3 very high profile LB's favoring OSU for the 2014 class. Front 7 will always be a priority under Urban regardless of his DC.

Agreed. I just don't know if Jr. is interested enough in the fabrication aspect to learn all of that. He's all about the "creative". Very glad I didn't watch live last night though. Was able to fast forward through the awful "Lynyrd Skynyrd" and other things I didn't care to sit through.

My biggest problem with the GMG guys was that they actually put down the other guys because they were "building bikes that never existed." How is that a bad thing? Creating something entirely new out of your head? I get that they did what they did because that's how it all started but to seriously put down true creativity just made them seem stupid to me. I don't think PJD's bike is on the same level as their bike last year but I still thought it was the best of the bunch.

Be interesting to see what Tuberville does in his first season. I liked him when he was at Auburn but he just didn't stand a chance once the conference had guys like Meyer, Saban and Miles running things. Could probably bold the UCF game. They gave OSU some trouble this year. I know their best players and NFL-type prospects are probably graduated but they're still obviously going to be loaded with Florida kids. And USF should be good too. Don't know how they are talent-wise right now but I know UCF fans felt pretty defeated when Taggart was named the new HC.
-
I felt the same way but in reality I know he was eating up double teams all day allowing guys like Shazier to get all those TFL's they had. Was hoping to get some kind of "keeping the band together" effect like there was in 2007 when Laurinaitis and MJ returned but that's selfish because Big Hank will be a top 10-15 pick at least. All indicators are that Roby is sticking around which is probably actually more important given OSU's lack of depth at CB. Tons of young DL talent on the roster, inside and outside.

They showed a preview thing of it during the 2 hour episode last night (caught it as I fast-forwarded on my DVR) and it looked like it had new stuff.
-
There's still one more episode next Monday which is the real final episode. Although I'm sure it was probably filmed before the live thing tonight so that's weird.

People are making too big of a deal of GMG getting the bike done on time. PJD did as well and OCC would have been close but used the extra time to anodize as they originally planned but had scrapped to meet the original deadline. It was poorly presented on the show and made people believe GMG were the only ones to finish on time.
