DOUBLE POST AHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH
-
Have heard LSU and ND for Heuerman but a non-OSU source down in Florida has said it's a done deal to OSU for a while now and then some OSU people think it's OSU as well. People think Foster is an OSU lean which would be awesome. Smith is a ND-OSU battle for sure. Hopefully his brother does well this season. Think that might help a bit in getting Jaylon to OSU.
-
Haha... love Urban when it comes to media stuff. So much different from Tressel who I also thought was very entertaining with how he would talk so much and say basically nothing. Urban when asked about captains for this year...
-
And several kids are supposedly "in" just not public yet. Have seen people (nevada and others with good info) say these kids are "in"... TE Mike Heuerman (if he doesn't commit at or before the spring game this might get iffy) LB Courtney Love OT Ethan Pocic WR Shelton Gibson (have read he'll announce around his birthday which is right around the spring game I guess?)
-
People expect it to end up somewhere between 18-20 but at this moment there are only 7 spots left. They'll likely be playing with fire a bit next January when it comes to anticipating attrition.
-
95 came out this past Wednesday. 96 will be out April 18th.

double posts ftw

His commitment kinda came out of nowhere. Nearly committed to ND on his visit there last weekend and now commits to OSU on his first visit. Hopefully it sticks. Kid is good. S Jayme Thompson should be a commit before the end of today. From Toledo, currently WVU's only commit. Bill Kurelic from Bucknuts calls recruits way too much and Bucknuts in general handles commits and whatnot in a very shitty manner so when Kurelic called Thompson's dad to get an update his dad lied to Kurelic and told him they didn't even visit. :lolguy:

Kansas played a little bit better in the 1st half than OSU did in the 2nd. Thomas' 4th foul was foolish and really killed the team's ability to spread the floor a bit more. Buford finally has a nice game in the tourney and Sully and Thomas were essentially no-shows. Oh well, team made it further than I expected. -
And with the show's success (most watched cable TV drama in history) they should have the ability to stick around as long as they want.

double post yeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeah

More like what OSU did last year. Offense vs. defense. Also, to discuss more about how we can't expect to really know how anyone is performing based on these early practices, the new offense won't even be fully installed until after 5-6 practices (today is #2). THEN they can really start to see what they're working with.
-
He was the QB coach in name with those guys and I'm sure he did a ton and did a good job but Urban has always been very involved with his QB's. Much like Tressel. Pretty sure I read a blurb from the very first practice the other day where Urban was already getting specifically involved with the QB's.
-
So you're one of the people who think Urban's success at BG, Utah and Florida were all his assistants and had nothing to do with him? Damn... we're gonna suck I guess.
-
I don't really think there are many out there who expect Braxton to go out and win the Heisman or something ridiculous this season...lol. But based on the flashes we saw from a kid who was thrust into the starting position a year early under a staff that basically had no QB coach and no offensive identity to speak of there's good reason for some optimism that the guy who "created" Tim Tebow might be able to do some special stuff with him.

Season 2 ends right around issue 12 of the comics. There are 95 issues right now...lol. So yeah, they have plenty of source material to work with for several more seasons and the comics are ongoing. I think it's been announced that season 3 is going to be 16 episodes and the creator has already said that season 3 and about half of season 4 will take place at/around the prison. They aren't done with the prison in the comics until issue 48 so the next season and a half should be pretty fast-paced, especially compared to the first half of season 2. So looking at it simply mathematically... Seasons 1 + 2 = 19 episodes = 12 issues Seasons 3 + half of 4 = ~24 episodes = 36 issues So they're going to cover the events of 3x the issues in just 5 more episodes. And they'll still have well over 60 issues to work with after that.

Not an IW fanboy but I got rid of Black Ops after a week. Now that I know all about lag compensation (Black Ops was the first game COD title it appeared in) I understand why. Hit detection was garbage because of the lag compensation and it's very similar in MW3. It's a bit more solid and they've tweaked it a lot - even patched it to the point that they can adjust lag compensation with hot fixes - but I would love it if they'd just get rid of it and, like I said, unless there's an announcement before the game or I find out after it comes out that the lag compensation is gone then I'm not going near it. I like some of the things the OP says about BO2 (no more death streaks especially) but lag compensation (have I mentioned it yet?) simply needs to go. If you don't have good enough internet to be able to find a game around you where you're not bouncing all over the place then you shouldn't be gaming online or you just need to suck it up and deal with it. People like me who pay a good bit to make sure their internet is great shouldn't be punished because people with shitty connections bitch about lag.

Was Miller bad at times last season? Absolutely. He had no QB coach and wasn't supposed to be the starter anyways. But he showed a lot of potential. Like I said, yesterday was the first day he could really get to work with the new, REAL staff. Did people expect the reports to be "Miller looked like a shorter, faster, blacker Peyton Manning" or something? Now is the time where he will learn and progress. Now then this summer then some more in fall camp. Then even more throughout this "mock" season since there's no bowl game. And I don't know where I ever argued that this roster was littered with playmakers. All I can ever really remember saying is that the team's talent wasn't best utilized last season because of 1) no competent offensive minds being left on the staff and 2) awful Bauserman/a true freshman starting at QB instead of a Heisman candidate. Anyone else remember how incredible the team looked offensively in the first half against Nebraska? The awful offensive staff was able to pull that off, albeit only for a half, so I'm confident we'll be able to see some more of that more often this season under a real offensive staff.
-
Unless I read that they're getting rid of lag compensation I'm not touching it. MW3 would be just about perfect if they got rid of lag compensation, akimbo weapons of any kind and death streaks.
-
Think people need to slow down a bit. alittlelessordinary claiming victory in several arguments about how bad the team is in his mind...lol. It was the first real day this staff had with these kids. Everyone's just getting a feel for each other right now.
-
Another Yahoo failure from yesterday was an article about OSU's spring practice starting up today and it mentioned LB Dorian Bell as a potential breakout star this year. Dorian Bell was essentially kicked off the team before last season and is now at Duquesne.

Went to Mudhouse a few times in high school. The old lady who owns (or owned, not sure anymore) the place lives on Lake and had people constantly watching the property. Had a friend chased off it by people in trucks/ATV's with shotguns.
