Trying to post from my phone, but iirc, link in first post takes you to thread which explains it.

Although I had only known Jim as a great guy who regularly stands his 'Cuda up on its rear wheels at the drag strip, today I got to see "Jim the Baller" as he test drove one of two Rolls Royce Wraiths in the U.S. Here was the thread I made in March when the press release was made: http://www.columbusracing.com/forums/showthread.php?t=110802&highlight=wraith Here's the one Jim drove today: http://i355.photobucket.com/albums/r445/martyr65/Wraith/bluecarfront_zpsb953ec41.jpg http://i355.photobucket.com/albums/r445/martyr65/Wraith/bluecarrear_zps0ff6ace3.jpg There was also a two-tone pre-production car: http://i355.photobucket.com/albums/r445/martyr65/Wraith/twotonefront_zps6328938f.jpg The intrepid racer-turned-baller: http://i355.photobucket.com/albums/r445/martyr65/Wraith/Jimindriversseat_zps7032b422.jpg And at the wheel of this $360,000.00 car: http://i355.photobucket.com/albums/r445/martyr65/Wraith/Jimdriving_zpsb031cafa.jpg "Is this the wheelie button?" Jim asked the factory rep, who became increasingly nervous as we talked about getting the Wraith sideways on an I-270 ramp. http://i355.photobucket.com/albums/r445/martyr65/Wraith/isthisthewheeliebutton_zpsaa528403.jpg 6.6L V12 twin turbo, 623 hp, 590 lb/ft of torque, 8 speed GPS-directed transmission. http://i355.photobucket.com/albums/r445/martyr65/Wraith/V-12_zps156a7251.jpg The self-opening doors have beautiful Canadel Paneling: http://i355.photobucket.com/albums/r445/martyr65/Wraith/door_zps51828f19.jpg I was less impressed with the Starlight Headliner (maybe it would have looked better at night): http://i355.photobucket.com/albums/r445/martyr65/Wraith/headliner_zpse5962960.jpg The nav system was great: http://i355.photobucket.com/albums/r445/martyr65/Wraith/navscreen_zpsdb38a3ae.jpg You could even do a view from above to see where you were relative to curbs and parking lines: http://i355.photobucket.com/albums/r445/martyr65/Wraith/Navviewfromabove_zpseaa4b8cf.jpg Jim will have to post his driving experience. My credit was, shall we say, less than adequate, so I was only allowed to ride in the back seat, which was actually quite nice.

Thank you, Brad. No worries--unless you provide me stickers, nothing goes on the car. If you have any problems getting a tax receipt from the website, let me know and I'll give you documentation with your choice of your name/business on it. -

CR Drag Day Fall '13 General Registration - SOLD OUT!
Doc1647545523 replied to MrMeanGreen's topic in CR Track Days
If the weather's good, I'll likely come to spectate. For those who don't pack a lunch or go out, I might be able to cook up some weenies and have pop and tater chips. And, just maybe, serve some of my infamous Dox Crummy Pie (the secret's in the cocaine). -

No, I don't have any way to make the vinyls. The Rally supplies us a basic package of vinyls with our number and with the national sponsors' vinyls. Having local sponsors is an idea I came up with a couple of rallies ago--just thought that if a business was generous enough to donate at a higher level, they should get recognition for that with a spot on the car if they wanted. Pickups Plus, WheelMedic, SloMo, Twenty One Pilots and Thiel's Wheels all gave me stickers for prior rallies to go along with their donations. Here are pics of how the stickers looked on Rally Dixie in 2012: http://www.columbusracing.com/forums/showthread.php?t=104378&highlight=rally I appreciate you drumming up support, guys. -

Jordan- I will PM you my address tonight. I'm proud to promote your business. Ramsey- No bars or restaurants sponsoring the car as of now. I haven't received my rally stickers yet, but they usually take up the larger spots on the car. I would say 18" square-max would be a good guide, perhaps 24-36" long if it's a narrow banner. Mojoe- Many thanks my friend. What was that weak excuse of yours for not driving in this Rally? :gabe: Jason- Thank you for your donation. -
Excellent job, guys.

Thanks, Jordan. I appreciate that. Yeah, this year's charity donation page isn't very straightforward. Whether you select "join the team" or not, it's going to list the credit card holder as the donor. However you choose to donate, I get an email confirming your name and I'll acknowledge your gift. If you need a receipt for tax purposes, I can provide that or you can get it from the site. If you'd like some advertising for your business, mail me any decal, bumper sticker, or vinyl and I'll put one on the Bentley. -

Thanks for checking with him, Cody. He would be the first barber to sponsor a Rally North America car. Farkas, thanks for the donation, buddy. -
Of course it does ... that was the whole point of rebadging with the JDM emblems. :fuckyeah:

Thanks, Jones. That was very generous of you. -
As some of you know, I've entered the Ohio Valley Rally the first weekend in October. Every year, Rally North America chooses a different charity to benefit from the event, instead of having prizes for the winners. For this Rally, my 83-year-old aunt is going to navigate for me and make sure we break as many rules as possible. She asked what car we were taking. I told her the Bentley, and she protested, "I'd rather we go in a faster car than that." I assured her that it would be adequate for our purposes. This year, the Epilepsy Foundation of Western Ohio will be the beneficiary. Here is more on the charity: http://ohiovalley700.kintera.org/faf/help/helpAboutOrg.asp?ievent=1075861&lis=1&kntae1075861=CCA7FBBFEA3F404293B2B34209495368 and more specific background of how this charity is connected with the Rally is here: http://www.rallynorthamerica.com/node/13 We are asking our friends (who are comfortable donating) to make an online donation through our page: https://www.kintera.org/faf/search/searchTeamPart.asp?ievent=1075861&lis=1&kntae1075861=CCA7FBBFEA3F404293B2B34209495368&supId=386523168&team=5553284 Your donation goes directly to the Foundation; none of it goes to the Rally or to our team. We are donating our time and paying all our own expenses (of course, we have a lot of fun in return, too). We're asking businesses to donate $50, and at that level we'll put your business advertising on our rally car. Any donation from individuals, even $10, is greatly appreciated. Thanks!

I don't speak for SloMo, but it's my understanding that they no longer have use of the neighboring properties (e.g., where the big concrete slabs are). Without the overflow space and with their lot nearly full of customers' cars, they really don't have room to host it at their shop this year. QSL has quite a bit of parking: front and back lots, overflow at NTB and Texas Roadhouse (which are pretty empty on Sunday afternoons). I think they've also considered hosting an event at a dragstrip. Adam, Drew, and Corey (all of SloMo) are all very personable and I'm sure they would welcome your feedback and suggestions.

I disagree with most of the above advice. Keep in mind that the dog is just doing what's natural for it. The neighbors are to blame for not training their dog, so don't vent your frustration on the dog. Don't harm it, don't kidnap it. Don't begin an all-out war with your new neighbors by calling the cops or the HOA as the first step. Install an automatic repellant such as a Scarecrow Sprinkler or a Yard Guard (electronic) with a motion detector. Turn it off when your dogs use the yard. Turn it on when you're not there. If the neighbors' dog comes over the fence while you're in the yard and the repellant device is off, then just spray him with the garden hose or spray with diluted ammonia as suggested above. I think you'll quickly train the neighbors' dog to steer clear of your yard without making an enemy of him or of your idiot neighbors. If this plan doesn't work, then it might be worth trying to talk to the neighbors again and explain that you plan to contact the HOA's or local animal control/police.

Yeah, I'm headed up tonight (Saturday). I was guessing that last night would be slow because of the cold weather, but I was told this morning at C&C that it was actually busy there Friday night around 11:30.

I'm here, sitting with all my friends. :fa:
