  1. Paging Norm ...... Guy's amazing.
  2. Thanks for the info, Josh, I didn't know that. I know that they're giving trophies in a car show and for the dyno champs, so I'm guessing the $5 helps cover that. Paying the fee may also enter you in the raffles for services and merchandise. If you didn't want to pay the $5, there's plenty of free parking in the customer lots at QSL as well as at the neighboring businesses.
  3. SlowMotion Motorsports is having their annual dyno day at Quaker Steak on Sunday, September 22 from 11 a.m. until 7 p.m. Besides the dyno and food, they're having a DJ and models. Info is on their Facebook page.
  4. Andy really knows his stuff. We're lucky to have him on CR. Here are some additional thoughts and photos: http://www.columbusracing.com/forums/showthread.php?t=112030&highlight=22ple http://www.columbusracing.com/forums/showthread.php?t=110112&highlight=22ple http://www.columbusracing.com/forums/showthread.php?t=111521&highlight=22ple http://www.columbusracing.com/forums/showthread.php?t=111041&highlight=22ple
  5. I was just at CCA last week and had a similar experience. I told them what I wanted and they tried to upsell me by a factor of 3. I explained I was not looking for that, and that I wanted the upgrade done my way. The manager tried to convince me that the radar detector/laser jammer system I had in the Bentley now was "worthless," and I told him it worked well for me except for the false alerts (current system not able to be updated on-line). He wasn't able to pull off his regular hustle on me. It seems as though the sales guys there try to hit a home run on every time at bat. :dumb:
  6. Since I can't get our calendar moderator to post it to the CR Calendar, I'll put this here: http://streetlifetour.com/#/ Keep in mind that Friday's events are competing against the CR car show. .........(I'll be going to the CR event Friday) Saturday noon-9 p.m. however, has drag racing, car show, vendors, hot body contest, mobile dyno, and of course, the drift competition. Support the CR members competing for their share of the $5,000 purse! http://i355.photobucket.com/albums/r445/martyr65/emoticons/party0024.gif
  7. Screw the clearance stuff, this is what you want: http://www.columbusracing.com/forums/showthread.php?t=109051&highlight=grill
  8. U guyz R2 old. On d internet its all about the message not about grammer an spelling. This aint skool doods.
  9. I'm an Amsoil dealer. If you buy in reasonable quantities and want to pick it up at the Columbus warehouse, I'll let you buy it at my cost. Just a FYI, my cost is only 20% less than retail, and there's no shipping charge, but you still have to pay tax. If you are just buying 5 quarts at a time, the savings isn't worth your extra effort or mine. If you have a regular need for an oil that the local stores don't stock, I'm willing to buy it by the case and keep it in stock for you. I pass through Columbus 2-3 times each week and can meet you to drop it off. I've done this for a few guys on CR who used the European Car formulation but couldn't afford to buy a case at a time. I believe The Andersons stocks a few blends of Amsoil, and IIRC IPS also is a dealer for Amsoil. Here's the website if you want to browse all the different products: http://www.amsoil.com/ I hope that's helpful.
  10. I highly recommend Mark: http://www.columbusracing.com/forums/showthread.php?t=107650 The last time we spoke, Mark's son was also making service calls.
  11. QSL has their regular cruise-in 7:30-10 every Friday. I typically join in with the crowd already there, but if CR gets something together tonight somewhere else, I'd be down for it.
  12. Thanks for putting this event on, Josh. It turned out to be a great night for cruising and the crowd was fun.
  13. I agree. It looks like most of 161 and 16 will stay dry. And if it doesn't, well, hell, it's a car meet, not the concours d'élégance. See you all there.

  15. I think of autocross as a physical manifestation of the classic approach-avoidance conflict. If nothing else, maybe I can write a journal article on my experience.
  16. If for no other reason, I think I would provide comic relief for everyone else.
  17. Hmmmm..... http://i355.photobucket.com/albums/r445/martyr65/emoticons/confused0006.gif
  18. It's turned out to be a much nicer day than was forecast. Let's keep our fingers crossed for tonight's meet. I see the chance of precip was revised downwards to 30%. If it's dry this evening, this meet should be HUGE! http://i355.photobucket.com/albums/r445/martyr65/emoticons/happyanim.gif
  19. I see Kevin and his customers' cars at numerous import shows and events around Ohio. Those cars are always the envy of the spectators, and I think that fact and the satisfaction that his customers have all attest to Kevin's skill and commitment. Wouldn't it be great if every enthusiast car model had someone like Kevin in the area?
  20. As usual, I'll saunter up to the patio around 7 p.m. to have my regulation rib dinner. Pull up a chair and join me.
  21. You may think that's the purchase price, but I suspect when all's said and done, it'll be more like the down payment ...... I'd contribute to a betting pool on the date this one will be sold. Although I'm not saying you might not make a profit on it. You never know when Barney might stage a comeback, and this color will come back into style.
  22. Great looking car and it's cool that you took it to the track. I'm especially impressed by the list of cars you've owned. Many of them are six figure cars now. Welcome to CR. I hope to see you out at the meets & track events. + rep
  23. Congrats! That's quite an accomplishment for a rookie team. I look forward to seeing the video.
  24. Cap City Diner with a reservation
