  1. It doesn't take a doc to see that, far from being the CURE, this is just your latest fix...... Enjoy it while you have it and drive it like you stole it.
  2. Great wagon, even without the mods you're getting. Congrats!
  3. It remains in limbo. You looking for one? I've got the first one nicely sorted out.
  4. Yep, and somehow he had his Bentley there as well.
  5. Definitely a fun time. I was surprised how early the majority of cars left and really amazed that the rain stayed away.
  6. I might head out later. Right now, I'm looking at a line of thunderstorms in Lancaster and New Lex which are heading northwest. If those dissipate, it looks like good weather for the meet. If they keep rolling the way they are now, you'll be getting a soaking around 10. Keeping my fingers crossed.
  7. Don't be silly--NASA would never okay the ECU for that. Such awesomeness would indubitably create a vortex in the space/time continuum.
  8. Many thanks to those who turned out for this event and made a fun time out of a rainy afternoon. I got to introduce a few brave souls to Dairy Point which we agreed was the very pinnacle of culinary artistry. And Steve enjoyed meeting some new fans and getting to visit with a few old ones. He signed 22 books at the Hangout. I hope you all enjoyed the event and get to start reading Shotgun Lullaby. If you missed the signing and are interested, the novel is available at Amazon, Barnes & Noble, Google Play, iBookstore, and other sources in both e-book and hardbound editions.
  9. It all makes sense. If Lambos can have dramatic improvements in performance by converting AWD to RWD, why can't Subies and Audis? It's just a matter of time before CTD offers a stage 2 package to convert you to one-wheel-drive which would virtually guarantee your status as king of the streets and the tracks.
  10. This event is indoors, so it's happening rain or shine. Stop by the Hangout between noon and 2:00 to meet the author and get an autographed copy of his new book. OR Come to Cars & Coffee this morning, leave with the group at 10:00 and head to lunch, then hit the Hangout at noon. All are welcome!
  11. I'll roll through around 9:30. The plan is to leave from C&C with anyone interested in going to lunch and then on to the Hangout for the book signing.
  12. what a monster! This has really come together great. You've had some top-notch people helping you pull this together. A+
  13. Me thinks that it'll get a good pre-soak before 10 o'clock rolls around.
  14. I forgot to post our special armed forces rule: If you're deployed or on drill, choose the novel you want and Steve will autograph it for and leave it for you to pickup at the Hangout. http://www.ulfelder.com/books/ Thanks for reminding me.
  15. The last time I had a feeling like this was when I was invited to the Hindenburg arrival. Now, as then, I ask myself "Can I really bear to see this?" I know that if I pass, I'll be missing an historic event, but on the other hand, it will doubtlessly be captured on video for posterity.
  16. I think the trophy should be put on special display at the Hangout. Perhaps we'll commission an oil painting of you speeding across the finish line with a sad Panda Jones looking on.
  17. There will be extra copies of all three novels for sale. However, Steve is giving one book to each CR member in attendance at no charge, just as he did with his first and second novels. He's happy to autograph them or write a special inscription to personalize it for you if you'd like.
  18. Glad to hear it, Aaron. If you come up US23 and take the first Delaware exit (South Sandusky Street), you can make it to the Hangout and avoid the street festival detours. I suggest people avoid coming up I-71 and trying to drive across downtown.
  19. Three days away http://i355.photobucket.com/albums/r445/martyr65/emoticons/party0024.gif And this is one of the weekend's car events that won't be dampened by rain, guaranteed. It will help me to know how many people would be interested in stopping for lunch first. My original thought was that I would leave Cars & Coffee around 10, stop for lunch on the way to Delaware, then arrive around noon at the Hangout for the book signing. Besides OWU's alumni weekend, this is also the weekend of the Art Festival, which means downtown Delaware will be closed to traffic, so keep that in mind if you're heading up to the Hangout on your own. Any thoughts on where you'd like to eat? My thoughts are to avoid downtown Delaware and either hit Five Guys on US23, Corner Café on Delaware's east side, or Dairy Point (better than it sounds).
  20. In. I'll also lead a group from C&C up to the Hangout for our event. Tentative plans are to leave Lennox shortly after 10 a.m., stop for lunch in Delaware, then hit the Hangout at noon. I'll post more details later this week on the Shotgun Lullaby thread.
  21. Thanks, Austin. I'll bring you a supply of them for the front desks.
  22. Did it, per your suggestion. But as I see it, there are over 13,000 other checks that have been written, putting that information in someone's hands .... Do you really think that someone from CR is going to launch a scam with that info? Possible, but I put it in the category of blanking out your license plate number on any pic you post on the internet. Thanks for trying to look out, though, Clay.
