  1. What a great day to ride! Mid 60's with only a light breeze I've been working at the hangout this morning but plan to take the ol' triple niner out for a bit. Anyone want to meet up somewhere for a burger, or head up here and join the ride? I'll be heading out between 12:30 and 1. Text or phone me before then if you have interest. 740-405-5565
  2. In P-town now, but should be able to make it by 9:30.
  3. Of course you're welcome. No nav? Not even on your phone? The address is super-easy to find--there's nothing else around, really. Once you pull into the drive marked "Howald Industrial Park" you drive to the first building where you'll see cars parked. The building is marked "100" and has a U.S. flag flying overhead. Walk in the front door and you're there. :fuckyeah: If you can make it to the corner of London Road and Liberty Road you'll be at the DelCo Drive Thru. If you look across London Road, you're looking at the Howald Industrial Park. http://i355.photobucket.com/albums/r445/martyr65/openhousemap.jpg
  4. No interest in Piada? Okey-dokey. Hangout at 9:30. Hangout address: 320 London Road, Delaware, 43015 (The Howald Industrial Park) Come in the front door of Building 100. Call me if you can't find the place or if you have any questions: 740-405-5565
  5. Night-time wash/wax doesn't work at the hangout. Without daylight coming through the skylights, you can't see what you're doing. I think you'd find it easier at home. Also, inside washing is a two-person operation due to water drainage issues.
  6. Hangout opens at 9:30
  7. Sure, since's there's interest, I'll open the hangout. Give me an idea on what time ....... are there no dinner plans?
  8. Here are a couple more: ODNR is pretty pessimistic: http://www.ohiodnr.com/Portals/10/pdf/GeoFacts/geof09.pdf But here is a club of hopefuls: http://www.buckeyegold.com/
  9. Not a waste of time if you enjoy outdoor adventures and the thrill of anticipation (think of how fun it is to play Megamillions), but ...... it certainly is a waste of time to do this in an area such as around here (where there aren't any known, significant deposits of gold) if you're doing it for profit. http://pubs.usgs.gov/gip/prospect2/prospectgip.html
  10. Knives? How barbaric. http://www.columbusracing.com/forums/showthread.php?t=76454&highlight=case
  11. You may want to phone MD transmission in Delaware (across from the Hangout). (740) 363-0054 I believe they use waste oil to heat their shop.
  12. It'll look great with Rally Dixie decals all over it :masturboy:
  13. Sounds like someone with some good priorities: divorce finalized, wife and kids move out and take van, buy Aston.
  14. Their site continues to have problems, but if you're curious, here's a review written last summer by a woman: http://thriftyninja.net/2011/08/review-dollar-shave-club/ I got my Dollar Shave Club shipment in the mail yesterday and I am SO excited! While is looks like a REALLY good deal, I wasn’t sure how the quality would be, I mean, it’s $1.99 for 5 blades! I saw a shiny silver package in my mailbox and had no idea what it was. I only ordered it last Wednesday evening…how could it be here THIS soon?! But when I read it was from them, I ripped it open to check it out. There was a package of 5 blades attached to a card that talks about the program itself and a stainless steel handle to fit the blades! The blades looked good, but looks can be deceiving, I’ve had some really bad ones before. Can you say blood transfusion? Just kidding, but you get the point. Okay, so I tried them. Dual blades with the aloe strip. They worked great! I would say they were as great as the Gillette razors I hadbeen stealing from my husband. I mean, did I say that? Yes, I did. I steal his razors normally because they work so much better for me. They normally shave so much better and don’t give me razor burn. Guess what?! These razors worked just as well…but are SO much cheaper. I am seriously hooked on these! I’m excited I can get 5 blades every month and not have to try so hard to stretch out the good ones I buy at the store because they are SO expensive to buy the replacement blades. So overall, I give them 2 thumbs up. It works great, super cheap and you know I love cheap! So if you were wondering about them, you should try it out.
  15. I agree with Buck. Truckin http://www.columbusracing.com/forums/member.php?u=621 did the carpet in the office part of the hangout. He was easy to work with, quoted a very good price, and came through with what he promised. I've PM'd you his email and phone number. In all fairness, though, another member on here whom I consider a friend had a bad experience with Truckin and wrote about it here: http://www.columbusracing.com/forums/showthread.php?t=90784 I don't know either side of that story, but can tell you that Truckin did a great job for me and I would use him again without hesitation.
  16. One question comes to mind: Are you paid-up on your health, life, and disability insurance?
  17. And, I liked the blue one so much I ordered one in black. Thanks, Chris. Your Mom did a great job on this one as well. http://i355.photobucket.com/albums/r445/martyr65/frontview.jpg http://i355.photobucket.com/albums/r445/martyr65/sideview.jpg http://i355.photobucket.com/albums/r445/martyr65/bill.jpg
  18. Welcome, Bryan. Great intro. I hope you make it out to some of CR's meets and track days this season. + rep
  19. I suppose that might be true if the rally were being held in northwest Nevada .......

I've had that ....... it's quite a meal. There's also a hot sausage version of it. I was disappointed that they took two of my favorites off the menu: meatloaf dinner and the combination hummus appetizer. But with such a large menu, there's always something else to try. They do a mean sweet potato fries and horseradish appetizer. Hangout will open at 9 p.m. Hangout address: 320 London Road, Delaware, 43015 (The Howald Industrial Park) Come in the front door of Building 100. Call me if you can't find the place or if you have any questions: 740-405-5565

Just let me know what time you need the place open. I didn't get much done there today so I'll be puttering around in the garage tonight. May be up for food somewhere. El Vaquero is on the lame side, IMHO. If you're set on Mexican, there's El Cerrito on Winter Street across from the Strand Theatre. They do a great Guacamole-at-your-table thing. And of course Nova is always fun, too.
  23. I'm aware of those advantages. But consider, if the route is so hilly/mountainous that cell phone reception becomes spotty, what will be the effective distance of 4 watt CB radio? Also, if you wish to relay valuable scouting information to others on your "team," sending by CB allows opponent teams the opportunity to listen-in if they determine your channel. On the Rally North America events, it's not unusual for teams to be 40 miles apart. Text the info to the multiple users you select. Quite simple. Or, post to a CR thread dedicated solely to the Rally. Only your CR teammates can view it. But if you enjoy CB's, no reason not to take one on the rally. Possibly could come in handy.
  24. Some of the rally teams love CB's, but IMHO they are of limited advantage when you consider what a simple cell phone can do.
