About a dozen people have indicated they're coming, so it looks as though it'll be a fun time. The east parking lot has about 2" of snow on it with a single lane plowed down the middle, so it's driftable. No need to text me that you're coming to dinner; it's a buffet with mostly booths anyway. I'm sure we'll have plenty of room. See you soon.
-
Not a problem. Also, since it's a buffet, you could get there late and still partake. I imagine the hangout will be open at least until 1 a.m.
-
Be sure to let Nick know that Mrs. Nick is welcome, too.
-
I will buy you and Bridezilla's dinner in exchange for a tail-light repair (the grounding we talked about) on the Viewt. Interested?

Roads aren't great right now, but it'll be dry by tonight. I-71, US 36, Delaware City Streets ...... all these are kept clear. Perhaps your wife has another agenda for you two alone at home tonight and "bad roads" is just the excuse ......

No air hockey yet. Alex L is trucking it over here as a favor, and we've been waiting on a dry weather day so we don't ruin it in transport. By next week I hope to have the Forza 4 playseats up and running, with the forcefeedback wheels, pedals, and Corbeau seats.

Get outtada house tonight and meet with yer CR buddies. The forecast is for cloudy (no precip), temps in the mid teens. Highways should be dry. 7:00 p.m. Dinner @ Tian Fu Buffet I'm not much for asian buffet style dining, but this place is particularly clean and well-run with fast, polite service. There's a Sushi section, a cook-to-order Hibachi, and plenty of crab and shrimp dishes, with a table of salads, a half-table of American dishes (pizza/mini-hotdogs), and a half-table of desserts. 850 Sunbury Road, Delaware, Ohio, on the way to the hangout from I-71 on Route 36, in the Glenwood Commons Shopping Center near Kohl's: http://maps.google.com/maps/place?hl=en&gs_upl=1085l2456l0l4514l8l6l0l1l1l0l259l1064l0.4.2l7l0&bav=on.2,or.r_gc.r_pw.,cf.osb&biw=1280&bih=682&wrapid=tljp1327157030548015&um=1&ie=UTF-8&q=tian+fu+buffet+delaware+ohio&fb=1&gl=us&hq=tian+fu+buffet&hnear=0x8838e5684a67f065:0xe0b86471f0b66d37,Delaware,+OH&cid=10456680594243130494 Urban Spoon reviews: http://www.urbanspoon.com/r/33/1455999/restaurant/Columbus/Tian-Fu-Buffet-Delaware All-you-can-eat is $10 on Saturday night, the only extra charge is for drinks. They serve beer. There is a print coupon for $2 off every $20 spent: http://www.valpak.com/coupons/display/Tian-Fu-Buffet/Delaware/OH/1030723/1029108 9:00 Hangout Open http://i355.photobucket.com/albums/r445/martyr65/emoticons/party0024.gif For Forza 4, Foosball, crocheting. If you need a heated bay for car work, let me know in advance so I can make a spot for you and warm up the garage. Last night the lot was great for drifting, but some plowing has been done, so I wouldn't count on it being okay for that--you'll just have to see for yourself. .

There'll be a get together again tonight at the hangout. Watch for the thread later.

The hangout will open tonight at 8:00 for any and all. Looks as though you're on your own for food (feel free to bring it in with you if you want). 320 London Road in the Howald Industrial Park come in the front door of building #100 call if you have problems finding it: 740-405-5565

CR is always welcome at the hangout. Would there be much interest in driving to Delaware, what with the travel advisory and all? I realize that a lot of us CAN drive in slippery conditions; it's the idiots who don't have the skill set, careening into the rest of us, that concerns me. Truth is, I could walk home from the hangout if I needed to, but the rest of you would drive home in what may become a heavy snow on slippery roads. Let me know if you have a quorum and it'll open tonight.

Shop recommendation for cheap transmission fluid change

320 London Road, Suite 101 and 104, Delaware, Ohio 43015 in the Howald Industrial Park, Building #100 across from the intersection of London and Liberty Roads And don't worry about transmission fluid on the floor, I have plenty of pans and dropcloths to catch the fluid. I mentioned a semi-clean floor so that you wouldn't have the idea it was mud or gravel. -
Welcome, Ray. Glad you decided to join.

not a problem. give me some advance notice so that I can open the place up and crank the heat. -
It scares me that you work at a mental health center and can't distinguish a psychologist, a psychiatrist, and a psychoanalyst from one another. Is your rule there to just call everyone "Doc?" :lolguy:

Sure, next time you're up, I'd like to see it. I can't say that I need one, but I use my Kindle a lot, and having the Gallery app and the bigger screen are convincing reasons to upgrade.
-
Incredible. But I think I'd be afraid to drive it and certainly afraid to take a sharp turn in it despite the fact that it handles fine.

You're welcome to use the hangout if you'd like. I don't have a lift, but I have a floor jack and stands. Give me some advance notice and I'll have the shop at 65 degrees. The floor is fairly clean. If you still need it done reasonably, I would give MD Transmission a call. They're in Delaware, though, and I realize you asked for someone closer to you. -
Thanks for the review. I pre-ordered the original Kindle and have certainly got my money's worth of use from it. I've been wondering if I should make the next step.

Some of those are great intros/great scenes, no doubt. But here's one that's just 44 seconds (turn volume up): http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=VUslGSoEH8I It has it all: a naked guy taking a bath, an amputee, over-the-top death stumbling, a moral to the story, and the unmistakable movie theme in five notes. Who could ask for anything more?
-
Aaron, you seemed to like the Flying Spur when you drove it. If you don't mind a left-over 2010, I see there's a lease deal on one: http://www.fleetrates.com/inventory/details.asp?vehicleInventory=BCFSS01 $2749/month, doesn't list the downpayment, but I'd check that if I were you ..... and check that it's not a 60 month lease. You're welcome, buddy.

So, do you think we should just let the major networks decide now who the next President should be and just bypass the election altogether? Save us the TV ads, the signs, the expense, and all the muckracking? (some people probably could live with this option) There's nothing wrong with supporting the underdog unless you're afraid to be on a losing side of a battle. I don't base my voting on who I think is most likely to win, but many people do. A generation has been brought up to fear losing and to fear making what they think may be an unpopular stand. You have to stand by what you think is right. Vote for the person you believe is the best candidate. Make your voice heard even if you think that the majority will shout you down.

Welcome, Kyle. Great intro! I hope to see you out at some CR events this year--there are going to be a bunch of them. Any mods to the car? +rep

Perhaps choosing "LS Eater" as your screen name had something to do with it.
