  1. I will have a limited supply of frankfurters, brauts, chips, cookies and a few drinks from the Hangout under the shelter at the track, so come by with what you brought and join me for lunch or grab a snack. Sorry, I don't have a big enough grill to feed all of CR ...... just sayin' you don't need to starve. I don't know if NTR's concession stand will be open, but their prices are outrageous. Edit: And don't even think of putting ketchup on anything I cooked for you. There will be NO ketchup.

Didn't mean to keep it a secret ........ matter of fact, there's a pic of it in post #12 of YOUR intro thread: http://www.columbusracing.com/forums/showpost.php?p=1328466&postcount=12 :lolguy:
  3. You would have been so much better off with us today in Mexico. I found the locals to be very friendly.
  4. Thank God you're okay. I wouldn't worry about the bike ..... that post-Apocalyptic look is supposed to be the next big thing. Just out of curiousity, how much would you charge to do a conversion like that to my 999?
  5. I don't see the problem ..... just leave before they arrive. :fuckyeah:
  6. It's forecast to get to 80 today, but winds are expected to be 30 mph. Too windy for me for washing cars or riding my bike. Any interest in meeting up, heading out for a cruise, eating roadstand food? I've got plenty of work to keep me busy at the hangout, but I'd rather play. Ideas?
  7. Great looking Mini, Nathan. Lots of good CR events you should check out. Good intro. + rep
  8. Sounds like the place needed a chaperon. I guess I'll have to attend tonight so that no one gets an eye put out or somethin' even worse. If the rain that's in Indiana now stays to the west, I'll bring out the Flying Spur. 9 p.m. eats at the Blue Ginger anyone?
  9. Andrew, frankly, your car is pretty janky in that special way that only a Honda can be. Yet, you posted a proper intro thread on the first try, seem to have a good reason to join (learning about racing & builds), and don't seem deluded about what you've got. +rep I hope to see you out at CR meets and events. There's a lot of wisdom and good advice in our members' collective experience. If you're willing to learn about cars, I'm sure you'll find people willing to help.
  10. He didn't show off his car collection in the video. Here's a partial inventory: http://i355.photobucket.com/albums/r445/martyr65/ublf.jpg He's a collector, not necessarily an enthusiast. I appreciate that some people collect, preserve, and display. It's not for me. I wanna drive. :megusta: I think of Jay Leno as someone who is committed to both collecting and driving. It's also not clear from the video segment if the estate already had this dream garage or whether he added it after he purchased the property. Thanks for sharing. It's quite a place.

Sorry, Erica. It's not for sale. http://i355.photobucket.com/albums/r445/martyr65/10a_s.jpg
  13. Welcome, Jon. Get a few photos of the cars posted and you should be on your way to getting out of the Oven and onto the forums. :nopics:
  14. Mike-sells potato chips has got to be one of the oldest American potato chips, and they are still made in Dayton. I can't say they're my favorites, but they might be the quintessential American chip. When I was growing up, there were mostly local potato chip companies, because the product didn't stay fresh very long and didn't travel well. One of the popular regional brands was New Era (made in Detroit), which was touted as a health food! The can said it was scientifically proven, so we knew we were eating right. http://i355.photobucket.com/albums/r445/martyr65/KGrHqIOKjYE3QRb706BNNy1U-w0_35.jpg These cans were perfect for all the scientific projects/experiments/warfare that we devoted our summers to when we were youngsters.
  15. Barbeque -- at your house -- 8 p.m. Guests only need to bring themselves. It's so generous for you and Erica to go to all this trouble just for us.
  16. Good photos. Your car's very sharp in person -- a number of people commented on that last night on Sawmill. I think the mods are tasteful, even understated. I'm curious, Cody. Do you use the roof rack or did you add it strictly for aesthetic reasons?

    SAWMILL?

From the looks of the posts in this thread, it seems as though the verdict is Sawmill (only Nick willing to go to the Hangout). So, the Hangout will NOT be open late tonight. However, a couple of us are here now working, and anyone who wants to come by is welcome. I suspect we'll be here until at least 8 p.m. Also, keep in mind that a bunch of CR's old guard will be eating at Red Robin-Polaris this evening, too. See you at Sawmill after 10. Wear your parkas

    SAWMILL?

The last time I opened the hangout because it was "too cold," only four CR members came out and the rest went to Sawmill. The time before, I was asked to open the hangout, but then the person who asked changed his mind and went to Sawmill, so I closed the place and went to Sawmill. Then I had people want to go to the hangout. I'm okay opening the hangout if people plan to use it. Early this evening a CR member is going to work on my car for awhile, so I'll be there around 6 p.m. But if members want the place open later, I'd like to see a few commit to going before we make a thread that it'll be open. Reasonable?
  19. Great intro! Hope to see you at CR's meets and events. + rep
  20. http://i355.photobucket.com/albums/r445/martyr65/Afraid-T-Shirt-8288.png If your fear(s) are debilitating, I would recommend treatment. If they're not, I'd suggest finding a way to enjoy them.
  21. Makes sense in your case ...... I would imagine your wisdom teeth would have pretty much atrophied. :gabe:
  22. I'm thinking a CR night might be in order once the casino opens on West Broad this fall. We could be the first "group ban" for the place. And the roulette score? I'll stop when I hit a million.
  23. Yes, yes there is. And the month of February made it worth the price of the whole year. :fuckyeah:
