    R.I.P CR

The cockroaches always survive after the higher forms of life die off. Just sayin .......
  3. Norm, perhaps try a second squirt? :masturboy:
  4. Of course you use it as your sexual lubricant. After all, it's called QUICK interior detailer, right?
  5. Stone bibim bap, it's one of their Korean offerings. It comes to you hot and cooked, but by moving things around in the stone bowl, you determine what degree of browning and "crisping" the ingredients get. I think either Eli or Howard tipped me off to this. Here's a better description, from Wikipedia: A variation of this dish, dolsot bibimbap (돌솥 비빔밥, "dolsot" meaning "stone pot"), is served in a very hot stone bowl in which a raw egg is cooked against the sides of the bowl. The bowl is so hot that anything that touches it sizzles for minutes. Before the rice is placed in the bowl, the bottom of the bowl is coated with sesame oil, making the layer of the rice touching the bowl golden brown and crisp.
  6. It seems to me that this increase has been in the news about 3-6 months IIRC. I know that I've heard it on the radio, seen it in the Dispatch, and have been getting mailings from companies such as FirstEnergy Solutions about it for months. If you get your news only from CR, there was this thread: http://www.columbusracing.com/forums/showthread.php?t=98871&highlight=energy I took the precautions I could, as I've got four electric bills to pay. Perhaps Orion or Big Chief201 can comment or make a recommendation to you, as I believe they are both professionals in this field.
  7. I'm always threatening to show up at one of your gigs, but this time it's more than likely.
  8. So, are you next in line after Farkas? http://www.columbusracing.com/forums/showthread.php?t=91566&highlight=subaru Be sure to ask for the advance pricing promotion: http://www.columbusracing.com/forums/showpost.php?p=1357273&postcount=7 :lolguy: I think it's a good direction for both companies. Perhaps not so much a new direction--more of a doubling-back to the values of twenty years ago. There's a lot to like about these cars, but there ought to be for 30k. If you don't mind me asking, are these selling for MSRP?
  9. The force feedback wheels definitely take some getting used to. After a few races in different cars, everyone concluded that the wheels work the same. Glad you could make it out. I felt bad that your "crew" didn't stay longer, but I realize that we were just one stop on your spree of debauchery last night.
  10. It was good to see so many CR members at a winter meet. Total for the night was 29, although not all at once. Pretty good, considering that at least a half dozen of the "regulars" didn't make it out tonight. And for a few people, it was their first time coming to the Hangout (hope to see you back soon). Thanks to those who helped unload the air hockey table, and many thanks to Alex L for transporting it. Thanks to Pat B. for bringing drinks. I hope you all made it home safely. Until next week, then.
  11. 27 here right now ...... come out and help us set a record
  12. Please do ..... you know how much I worry about someone with your driving skills trying to navigate the (mostly) dry roads at night. On that topic, there's a pile of snow at the entrance, right at London Road, that might give you a whoopie moment if you're not paying attention as you turn in. And there's nothing but concrete and steel to hit if you start to slide. Probably the only slick part of the whole industrial park, but I thought I should mention it to you all, since the popo love to sit across the street with their lights out, and they figure they owe us one reckless op citation as it is.
  13. Many thanks. We'll bring it in through the overhead door.
  14. It's cold standing in a parking lot, but plenty warm at the Hangout. The Forza 4 equipment has been modded to provide a better "fit" for everyone and the pedals are now firmly attached to the stands. The air hockey table will be delivered tonight and I could use a few strong backs to help unload it. It will go in the shop temporarily and not be upfront in the office, so if you want to play it tonight you may need your coat or at least a sweatshirt. The shop will be at about 50 degrees. CR members and their friends are all welcome. Tonight, you should make a point to introduce yourself to anyone you don't know. There may be anywhere from 4 to 20 people present ....... if at some point the place seems crowded to you, my office is open and you can escape to the quiet and relax, or wander back into the shop and check out the cars. You're not going to feel claustrophobic back there. Reminders: 1) Knock the snow off your shoes before coming into the office so we don't have a soaked carpet. Put boots on the gray towel inside the door. 2) Smokers please use the smoking station at the front door for your cig butts. 3) If you go out into the shop, please wipe your shoes before coming back into the office--people sit on the floor sometimes. 4) Please throw trash into the large black trashcan in the back hallway of the office, not into the tiny baskets in the restrooms. Glass bottles go next to the steps inside the shop for recycling. You're welcome to order pizza and have it delivered to the hangout, or bring fast food with you, or post to this thread (or a new thread) and set up a meal earlier. Hangout address: 320 London Road, Delaware, 43015 (The Howald Industrial Park) Come in the front door of Building 100. Call me if you can't find the place or if you have any questions: 740-405-5565 I hope to see you tonight. If you're new to meets, I hope to meet you tonight. I guarantee you'll have fun or double your money back!
  15. I'll open Saturday night if there's interest. Lots of competing activities tonight.
  16. You called it correctly, Trish: http://www.erh.noaa.gov/iln/afos/clicmh 1.3 inches of snow fell, but nearly all of it melted, leaving only a trace accumulation according to the NWS: SNOW DEPTH T But I'll still concede the bet. I bet that there wouldn't be any measurable snowfall, and obviously snow did fall. There will possibly be more Friday night, too. I'll pay off with the car wash, Jeffro, and I'll even give you the option of the original $20, since you mentioned that you weren't really keen on getting your car washed.
  17. You might be right about that. But we'll see.
  18. What I'm holding onto are the terms of the wager. We didn't agree to accept a photograph that you took at a random location. I would think you'd be aware that the National Weather Service in Wilmington tracks a daily climatological report of readings from Port Columbus. The bet in the thread was that there would be no accumulation of snow at Port Columbus above a trace. Your claim was that we would be needing snowblowers for this week and next, but that wasn't the bet. Here's a link to the climatological report for Feb 7th, and it also lists the month-to-date accumulation total: http://www.nws.noaa.gov/climate/getclimate.php?date=&wfo=iln&sid=CMH&pil=CLI&recent=yes&specdate=2012-02-08+05%3A34%3A06 As you can read, it shows only a trace for all of February. Today's snow accumulation will be added to that and reported tomorrow. Maybe today's snow will be more than a trace, maybe not. If it's more than a trace, you win the bet. If it isn't, then you have until the end of the agreed period to still win. In response to your question, as I look out my window, I see a light dusting of snow and on cars and some spotty snow in the shrubs and between the green blades of grass. Roads and sidewalks are just wet here. It's snowing lightly and melting as it hits. Sorry to hear that you've been hit by a big accumulation.
  19. Let's see what the official Port Columbus accumulation total is before you declare yourself the winner. It's looking like just a trace to me. Official NWS total will be online tomorrow.

    FARKAS!

Farkas is very close to his twin brother, Vilkas, and is known for being the stronger of the two. In Kodlak's Journal, Kodlak states that Farkas is kind-hearted and usually follows along with his brother's views in most situations. He also tends to be kinder in his dealings with others. Vilkas tends to joke about Farkas being the more dim-witted of the two. :lolguy:
  21. The only way I'd consider being mayor is if the job came with bitchin' robes with fur collar and sleeves and a kickass necklace. http://i355.photobucket.com/albums/r445/martyr65/Adrian20parlour20.jpg ..... and I'd wear those duds everywhere.
  22. It's entertaining to even think about. CR has difficulty coming up with a T-shirt design we can agree on, but you think we have the talent, brains, and resolve to carve out a new city? :lolguy: However, if there's any place in Ohio to try it, I would vote to do it in Scioto County. What we came up with couldn't possibly be much worse than what's already there.
  23. I'll be at QSL at 7 p.m., maybe meet a few of you there. Nothing wrong with the Pub or 1808. I think 1808 is a bit formal for the CR rowdies in a large group, and maybe a bit pricey compared to where we usually go. Also, some members are under 21. Does the Pub allow that? I don't know. Good suggestions, though. I'm off to QSL in a few. Maybe see some of you after 9 at the hangout.
  24. Sorry, Greg, didn't see your thread which you posted while I was writing mine. Actually, QSL sound pretty good, but the problem will be getting a table. Anyone else wanna vote?
  25. Come to mention it, it WAS pretty white when I opened my eyes. IIRC I woke up this morning face down in a pile of blow spread across a 19 year old hooker's back.
