  1. This is one option for Saturday night: http://www.columbusracing.com/forums/showthread.php?t=99363
  2. Feel free to set up dinner in advance, or come to the hangout for pizza, socializing, foosball and Forza 4. Warrior will play on the big screen at some point, probably after 9 p.m. If you wanna chat during the movie and not annoy the people watching the movie, feel free to use my office. Ladies, feel free to bring along your crocheting. The shop heat will also be turned up and there will be some chairs out there as well. Warrior preview: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=bwgG6OfW7Yo Address: 320 London Road, Delaware, 43015 (The Howald Industrial Park) Come in the front door of Building 100. Call me if you can't find the place. 740-405-5565
  3. and to think that CR, after a decade of popularity, got accidently deleted from an errant key stroke on a cell phone in 2012. j/k congrats Paul & Howard
  4. I'll take the glory pass for $200, Alex. No way is there a cage going into the Flying Spur. Entry #9859 April 28-29 Hot Rod Magazine Top Speed Challenge
  5. I remember thinking that about another winter, many moons ago ..... It had been an unusually mild winter, and weather forecasters had mistakenly forecast heavy snows a number of times, but none of those had materialized. One night in late January, 1978, they again forecast blizzard conditions for the following day. It was hard to believe because the temperature was 40 degrees and it was raining that night. http://www.columbusracing.com/forums/showthread.php?t=77147 .
  6. People seem to think highly of the new movie, Warrior http://www.columbusracing.com/forums/showthread.php?t=99287&highlight=warrior Does someone have that in a format we can play on the big screen? I wouldn't mind announcing a showtime for that Saturday night and having people over to watch it. Maybe meet somewhere to eat first or else having pizza during the movie. Edit: Looks like the local Blockbuster has it. I'll bring it to the hangout Saturday as an option.
  7. Well, some of these folks were to blame, too: http://www.columbusracing.com/forums/showthread.php?t=97830&highlight=winter+wheels funny to think that was TWO MONTHS AGO :lolguy: What's next? at the end of the month we start the " Is it time yet to switch back to summer rims" thread?
  8. You realize that you just doomed the snow removal businesses on here by your actions .......
  9. CR is always welcome at my place. That's one of the reasons it's there. Just lemme know when you want it open and post details to a thread so that everyone knows.
  10. Some good looking cars. I was especially happy to see Mark's World Record Vette in there. I hadn't seen the pic in the thread and was thinking he might not have submitted one. I think his is the one car that everyone on CR, regardless of their taste in cars, is proud to point to and say, "I know the guy who owns that car.... he's a fellow member of CR." I'd like to think that all members try to represent favorably, but there are a few on CR who are outstanding, and Mark (Atomicfusion) is one of those.
  11. He's repped-in. That usually causes him to be locked-out of his intro thread. In other words, Mike, He can't hear you
  12. Welcome, Mike. Good intro & follow-up. Frankly, I'm not much of a fan of 'vettes, but yours is one of those few that I immediately lusted after. She's a beauty. I hope to get to see it in person at some CR events in 2012. +rep
  13. It's a Victory Vegas Jackpot. Vegas Jackpot is the model name.
  14. Good looking bike. Has it been on the dyno yet?
  15. I'm thinkin' ........... http://i355.photobucket.com/albums/r445/martyr65/emoticons/confused0006.gif
  16. You wouldn't be the grammar police or the spelling police. More like the CR spelling crossing guard.
  17. Did you mean It's? And I will stand by my spelling of newb: http://www.urbandictionary.com/define.php?term=newb You should know better than to get into a pissing contest with a skunk, my young friend.
  18. Baby still crying? Just kidding. I think I agree with your point. If someone's intro doesn't show much effort, he probably won't add much to the mix here. I'd be surprised if he makes it out of The Oven. He's already got bad rep and may not consider it worth the effort at this point. I responded to your comment just out of a mild frustration I have that sometimes the shark tank mentality in The Oven borders on being hypocritical. I agree with the gist of what you said. Sometimes, it seems to me we should give someone wanting to join CR the chance to stand back up before we hit him again. If, at a meet, a newb walked up to a group of us and asked us about joining, I don't think we'd be as critical in person as we are in The Oven.
  19. I'm not sure you should be too critical of bad spelling. Just sayin' .....
  20. Welcome. It's important to make a good intro to get repped-in at CR. Take a look here: http://www.columbusracing.com/forums/showthread.php?t=61288 :nopics: Also, if you have problems posting pics, you may want to review this: http://www.columbusracing.com/forums/showthread.php?t=1743
  21. Welcome, Richard. I hope you can make it to some of our events in 2012. +rep
  22. Richard, you'd be a great addition to CR, but it's hard getting repped-in without photos. Do you just not have any photos, or are you having problems getting them posted? http://www.columbusracing.com/forums/showthread.php?t=1743
  23. There were a lot of us squawking about the Patriot Act, but we were drowned out by the cries of the public and their officials to jetison our rights "temporarily" to catch the bad guys. You see how temporary that suspension of Constitutional rights was. Truth be told, it probably did make it easier to catch terrorists. But look at the price we've paid. It has started an erosion of our rights as citizens. Just last week I listened to a story on NPR about Homeland Security going after importers of knock-off designer handbags. Was that the threat that people had in mind when they went along with laws giving them special arrest and detainment powers? Our Federal government consumes more and more of our personal resources trying to undo problems of the government's own making. I was for Ron Paul when it was considered ridiculous to support him: http://www.columbusracing.com/forums/showpost.php?p=1351696&postcount=6 It's a little less ridiculous now, and I'm still a fan.
