  1. The hangout will open at 9 p.m. CR members and their guests are welcome. Anyone interested in meeting for something to eat first? Some places that sound good to me are Wholly Joes or Five Guys in the Polaris area. Most full service restaurants are going to be plenty busy. I was thinking 7 p.m. Anyone else with a better suggestion? Preferences for pizza or burgers? Hangout address: 320 London Road, Delaware, 43015 (The Howald Industrial Park) Come in the front door of Building 100. Call me if you can't find the place. 740-405-5565 DON'T TEXT me every 10 minutes to tell me your position on Route 23!
  2. According to the National Weather Service, you're wrong again, Jeffro Ganahl. No accumulation in Columbus: http://www.nohrsc.nws.gov/nearest/index.html?city=columbus%2C+OH&county=&l=5&u=e&y=2012&m=2&d=4 No accumulation in Delaware: http://www.nohrsc.nws.gov/nearest/index.html?city=Delaware%2C+ohio Are you still using your high altitude weather maps as your source for what's happening on the ground?
  3. So much talent, so much confidence, but such a fine line between courage and bravado. "The light that burns twice as bright, burns half as long" -Eldon Tyrell in Bladerunner
  4. You're welcome anytime, Kevin. We've fallen into a pattern of nearly every Fri & Sat evening, so I hope you make it here sometime soon. No problem. I left your two cans of Monster on your parents' front porch. That would be fine with me, but consider that taking the cars to Cars & Coffee would make it easier for people to check them out. It was fun, as always, and I especially enjoy seeing you all have a good time. A number of CR's "rare birds" visited tonight. It was good to put some names and faces together. I guess I don't have to worry about the Forza setup; it seems as though you found it pretty addictive (we shut the game down around 2:30). For those of you who asked about the wheel stands, I bought them from Amazon: http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B002TMHZ96/ref=oh_o00_s00_i00_details Thanks to Patrick B and Lee for your Forza technical assistance and thanks to Sean (Groomzilla), Alex Ginger, and Chad (Starkmaster) for assembling the rigs. We'll race again Saturday night.
  5. Not scared in the least. There will be no snow accumulation greater than a trace at Port Columbus.
  6. 19 CR members here now ...... drop on by
  7. I'm here now opening things up, so feel free to stop by early.
  8. I'll set up some cones to make it easier for you.
  9. The most important thing is to have a gun that exactly fits you. If your gun fits you and you mount it properly, it will shoot where you look. Then, you just have to look at the target.
  10. Washing's best done in the daylight. Tonight, I'd have to move a non-running car to give you plenty of room, and you'd only have the one overhead light for light. (It's not enough light, trust me) The winter washing usually works with us spraying and rinsing the car outside in the daylight, then drive it in to the heated garage for drying, detailing, and interior cleaning.
  11. The ticket would be the cheapest part. With a car like that, and your age, the jump in insurance premium would be the kicker.
  12. Should be a big group tonight. I know of a birthday party crew that will adjourn from a certain restaurant and roll in here tonight as well.
  13. And you can forget about drawing to that inside straight--I've already got the card you need: http://i355.photobucket.com/albums/r445/martyr65/FUNNY-AND-HONEST-WEATHER-MAP.jpg
  14. You shouldn't have played that card. I'll call that and raise you this: http://i355.photobucket.com/albums/r445/martyr65/f-Future-Cast-56241.jpg
  15. No prob. Yours isn't the one that's going to get washed.
  16. How can you lose? You claim that "all the long range forecasts call for snow"
  17. I don't even have to buy this pot. I'll give you the 8th day, conditions as above. Loser washes the winner's car, to the winner's satisfaction.
  18. I'll give you the 8th day and we'll make it $40. No snow accumulation over "a trace" recorded at Port Columbus through Feb 11th. Put up or shut up.
  19. I'll be rolling into Delaware around 8:45, so the place should open around 9, give or take a little. All of the equipment for the Forza 4 gaming setup (pedals, forcefeeback wheel, stands, racing seats) are there, but you need to help get things unpacked and set-up). I also have the 30 minute DVD of the 2011 Rally North America if things become incredibly dull. Address: 320 London Road, Delaware, 43015 (The Howald Industrial Park) Come in the front door of Building 100. Call me if you can't find the place. 740-405-5565 DON'T TEXT me every 10 minutes to tell me your position on Route 23!
  20. I would accept anything greater than "a trace" as measureable. For example, 1/4 " of snow would cause me to lose the bet. No worry on this one ....... Jeffro Ganahl won't take the bet.
  21. :funny: No snow in the next eight days in central Ohio, let alone snow that you'd need to use a snowblower on. I'm callin' you out on this one, Jeff. Got some $$$ to wager that there'll be no measureable snow in Columbus in the next 8 days?
  22. Don't kid yourself, Jonesy. That Buick will still be running long after your Audi is scattered around in heaps of scrap parts.
  23. I use Amsoil Signature 100% Synthetic along with the Amsoil extended interval filter. They recommend 1 yr/25,000 mile change intervals for normal service and 1 yr/15,000 mile change intervals for extreme service in cars that are all of the following: unmodified, in good condition, gasoline motor. My last change in the Buick was at 1 year/22,000 miles. I guess I'm not taking very good care of my car.
  24. The best intro in the world isn't going to get Ethan out of the Oven. My advice, Ethan, would be to speak with Anthony (AngryBird) directly. Anthony put your other account in a cage over this thread: http://www.columbusracing.com/forums/showthread.php?t=54892 Until Anthony changes his mind, the Oven will be set at 600 degrees for Ethan. I like Ethan and he's helped out CR members on numerous occasions, but my opinion doesn't mean stink if it conflicts with the opinions of the people who own and run CR. Bottom line, real talk. In some forums if you're booted over a controversy, you could wait a few years and try to quietly slip back in the door. But hoping Anthony will "forget" about it or not notice is not a good strategy. Better chance of a Bourbon king forgetting about the past than Anthony forgetting. Ethan's better off explaining things to Anthony directly first. If Anthony gives a thumbs down, there's no use posting an intro thread. Again, Ethan, good luck.
