  1. I like H&R Block's online better. Used TurboTax once.
  2. So, the best I'm going is 20% off? The saw I'm looking at is new in-box listed at the pawn shop for $500, after tax is $537-ish. They probably bought it for $175-200. I can get a new shipped one on the net for $580.
  3. Gotcha, yeah sorry I didn't specify. I am looking for torque wrench too
  4. Don't get me wrong, I love eBay. But I don't know about buying used stuff on there, especially from individuals. With buying local, I can walk out with the item the same day. Maybe even test it out there (looking for a nice miter saw.)
  5. Looking to get some new-to-me tools. I thought some pawn shops might be a good place to check out. Looking a CL, it seems pawn shops are listing new in box stuff for pretty close to retail and used stuff for still high prices, when I know they are usually getting the merchandise from heroin addicts for 1/4-1/3 the cost. So do they deal? if so, how do you talk with the store employees? I know they deal with "colorful" individuals...
  6. Not in on the pool. But, I play once or twice a year and never more than $20 a time. Only when it gets really high, like this one. In my life, I'll probably only have had invested +/-$500. If I win (big IF), that will be a big payoff for money invested. I've wasted WAY more money on cars...
  7. Looks like TD has a similar RAV4 LE deal and lower payment deal for the Corolla SE for $199/$159 PM me if you want my sales guy name/email.
  8. I was only in the store for an hour. The sales guy joked that he wouldn't be making money out of the deal. I told him "well, I only took up an hour of your time so it's probably not THAT bad." Finance girl, Ashley, seemed kinda huffy when I declined all of the "extras" I know they are discounting FRSs, not sure about any lease deals.
  9. If anyone is in the market for a lease. I went to Toyota Direct to check on a website lease deal. Steve, my salesman, was an older laidback guy who checked on the lease. He told me that for the most part Toyota Direct's advertisements are spot on. He came back and told me that it was good-to-go. Deal was $239.97/month for 24 months with no trade (I'm assuming they want a trade on these deals.) With trade it's $189.97. 12,000 miles a year. No out-of-pocket. Taxes, title, doc. fee, acquisition fee and first month's payment included in the monthly. There is a lease end fee of $350.00. It's a closed end lease. Toyota offers free service for the first two years of ownership, so no maintenance costs for the life of my lease. Toyota Direct offers free car washes also. Car is pretty sharp. Standard equipment includes auto trans, backup camera, Bluetooth and 18" alloy wheels. Only option was floor mats, I think. For pain free reliable transportation, this seems like a great deal. There are a few left in stock for this deal.
  10. I said this in the Ford GT thread. Ford is winning.
  11. Not anymore. I think RS is more like a "GT" nowadays.
  12. the 20 year-old in me says "yep".... he might win this one
  13. Sounds like the dealership is going to replace the car. There were some texts sent to the car owner posted on reddit. (This was after the dealership threatened to sue for libel at the beginning of the debacle)
  14. One of the posts Adventure Subaru made said that the car owner's insurance company was involved. People were freaking out that the dealerships ins. co. was not involved.
  15. I'm so sick of the meteorologists in town. They start talking about it a week out, then come crunch time it's all a bunch of hot air (figuratively, of course). Abc6 prides itself on not blowing weather out of proportion, but they were getting their collective panties in a bunch just like the rest of them. The only time they need to get excited is when the public is going to be hindered for multiple days, not when "Monday's drive to work might be a little more difficult than usual."
  16. getting a whole $690 back. woohoo! probably just going into savings
  17. cool build, i always say this in build threads... i wish i could do this stuff anyone want a stolen GTI? http://columbus.craigslist.org/cto/4860707708.html
  18. Copy, bring a sniper to CL transactions and pretend it's a drug deal.
  19. Where exactly is it going?
  20. If you are getting synthetic, get real synthetic. Stuff they sell at auto parts stores labeled synthetic is just processed conventional. Look into Redline, Amsoil, Lucas, Motul, or Royal Purple types.
