Just to be safe pull the Oil cap, and have somebody crank the motor. VW is big on V/C baffling but see if you can see the cam spinning. If it is, it may be a good time to line everything up and see if it s out of place. I would get a hold of somebody with VAG-com and see what codes are stored.

My leaning would be towards one of the pressure switches. Does the blower motor come on?

This for sure. Stock the autos are a dog, but lightly modded are as quick or quicker than a stick. Also with the auto, you're less likely to get the walk issue.

Mine are: Mixed - Through the winter Yeager and Red Bull were good, Then Tuscan Lemonade, Summers are all about Marguritas. Beer - Rare but Yeungling Light, or Strongbow Shot - Even more rare since I don't have the hoots for it anymore, but Tequila, or 151.

This is one of those times where having your cake and eating it too would be bad. I say stick to the Duel.

Ew, no fun. But it won't take long to get done.

Remember when you do it to "roll" (are we allowed to say that?) the motor over so that both valves are closed when doing each lobe. While you tighten them down, spin the pushrod with your finger, when you start to feel a bit of resistance take it a 1/4-1/2 turn more and stop. That should be enough to get the motor running. Once it's running adjust them till they stop ticking and you'll be good to go.

True story, you've even polished knobs. Put up pics if you have any of James' intake manifold. Before and after. Cody, it'll be pain to polish it. I think that is simply whats being said. It can be done, but you'll get burned out quick. Grab an old cast part, set the timer, and go to work on it. You'd be amazed at how quickly three hours goes by and so little progress.
