Find a shop that uses either bead or walnut shells for blasting. If you use sand, Aluminum Oxide, etc. You will have a very hard time getting it clean. It's for that reason I won't blast manifolds, valve covers, I.C. pipes and such. From there start sanding. Start around 800 and go up 1500-2000ish grit. Maybe higher depending on how "dirty" the casting is. Then you should be able to get out the polishing wheels, and compounds. It'll take a good amount of time, but look killer when its done. Then clear coat it.

Sweet car, just the bloody wheel gap. I'm getting nose bleeds just looking at the elevation.

Pussy. Pull the wheel off. That's the round shiny thing that the car rolls on. Pull off the drum, you may need a hammer to knock it loose, spray the springs and such off with brake cleaner, be like Jones lube up friction points, don't get it on the shoes!, get some hundred grit sand paper scuff the inside of the drums, reassemble, celebrate with drink of choice, be like Jones some more and celebrate in short pants, drive home. Profit.
