  1. Hammer meet nail. This is so true it's not funny and only the old members will see this pattern. This was they same thing that happened in Dayton on SRD. Oh and the Admin was a Douche. But everyone got old, there was no where to meet anymore, the new ricers came on and the site went to shit, it just didn't make it through the cycle, it probably would have if Louis would have paid the bill. I think in general though that the scene has dwindled tremendously though. May the be from the economy or the core user base getting more mature, (kids, lives, jobs etc.) You guys are lucky to have such a good site, don't ruin a good thing by bitching.
  2. Wow, just wow.... and as of today he is on paid sick leave while an investigation is going on.

  4. It's funny we are all seeing different stuff, I thought it said post your flashing pictures, immediately clicked on it, and wondered why no NWS sign at the same time. :dumb:

  6. Totally agree, I mean there is a time and place for negativity, but I mostly try to stay positive in all situations. It seems to work out better that way.
  7. Yeah after seeing that it was a scam in 2009 I am sure it still is, I would just ignore it and see what happens, seems like they want to get a small amout of money from everyone. Thinking most will be 10 years out of college have good jobs, credit and not want to ruin it so they will just write a check.
  8. This shit is AWESOME! I highly recommend it for houses also.
  9. mmmmm, 944 with that much hp :gabe: They are great cars though, it's amazing how many heads mine would turn even though its 20 years old.
  10. Ok going with less filtering after looking at a few of the links posted here. I actually shot this (uncropped shot) right before the first flower shot. http://i224.photobucket.com/albums/dd58/reitzmj/1180-4-1.jpg and would this be a better crop of the ring? I almost feel at this level it needs to be B&W http://i224.photobucket.com/albums/dd58/reitzmj/1180-3-1.jpg
  11. I wish I had the photoshop skills to do that...... I am sure its quite easy though. Assuming its not a birthmark.
  12. On the first shot I posted do you think I should crop in closer, as Frenchy said her eyes are drawn to the post? I guess I didn't want to lose the lines of them. Probably not my top 3 shots, but maybe one of them is, I am still going through all 2000 and editing etc. This first one I can't figure out if I like it in B&W better or just toned down. http://i224.photobucket.com/albums/dd58/reitzmj/22-1.jpg http://i224.photobucket.com/albums/dd58/reitzmj/128.jpg Do you think I should come in on the ring more in this photo? http://i224.photobucket.com/albums/dd58/reitzmj/312.jpg Groomsman & Flower girl http://i224.photobucket.com/albums/dd58/reitzmj/1180.jpg
  13. In Hilliard at Homestead park on the covered bridge.... pretty excited about this, it was very challenging and we got some great shots. Hopefully this could be a good start to a great career/hobby of photographing. http://i224.photobucket.com/albums/dd58/reitzmj/688.jpg
  14. I think I like the second one better, it almost seems as if the background needs to be darker to highlight the dragonfly better.
  15. I have the Nikon 35mm AF-s f1.8 and love it, I think they are under $300. Shoots amazing in low light and is fast.... but I would recommended the 50 at least for what you are doing.
  16. I can give you the raw if you wanna play with it, just pm me an email. I have messed with that a little and was actually gonna try it on that photo, but there is a reflection of fire that I didn't know if I should give color to or not.
  17. I agree, the monitor makes it hard sometimes, I like your version more, I use lightroom primarily for editing, I am not good enough with photoshop yet. What did you use to make it a little darker like that?
  18. Just wanted to share, feedback is welcome. I am sure there is always room for improvement. http://i224.photobucket.com/albums/dd58/reitzmj/2011%20Photography/138.jpg Anyone know where this is, hint I was in Columbus last weekend. http://i224.photobucket.com/albums/dd58/reitzmj/2011%20Photography/077.jpg My friend and his daughter, yes expensive camera in the pool = fiancée nervous. http://i224.photobucket.com/albums/dd58/reitzmj/2011%20Photography/302.jpg

LMK when your doing Xenia, and maybe I could ride out .... 15 miles for me, and say Hi.
  20. Holy shit, I mean I truly love a good Med-Rare, but I am pretty sure THAT is the winner of the real man's meal thread.
  21. If anyone is still doubting this thread it truly is epic. Will be best of 2011.

Yeah I literally felt like I was sliding on ice, it all happened in slo-mo. It was like left, right, left, right... uh oh bam! down. But the few seconds that I did hold on I knew I couldn't get off the aero bars, the second I would have shifted my weight to get down to the brakes I would have been fucked. If I could have hit the brakes I might have been able to stop. I didn't hit my head at all. I am pretty sure I fractured my hand where my thumb meets my palm, it still gets sore from time to time. Oh and it literally sounded like a gun shot when it went. A lady in Oakwood came out of her house about 50 yards away because she heard it. It was so loud it scared me before I realized what had happened. She also let me come in, rinse it, put towels on it, AND drove me home. (only about 2 miles, I was pissed I just started my ride lol)

Glad I could fit in... :fuckyeah: Edit: And that is why your supposed to shave everything(before you ride), that was the worst week or so of wrapping and changing bandages, terrible pain. I literally could not bend my arm for about a week or so.

My avg would have been a solid 16 but the last 2 miles I was just done, too much sun and headwinds and I basically went 14 mph the whole way. No wind and I would have easily had a 17.5 avg. Downhill coasting for the 43 mph... I don't know if I mentioned it but last year I DID have a blowout at 36 mph on the front tire non the less and I was down on the aero bars... bad idea. That crash was fresh on my mind still too lol. I actually held it for about 5 seconds on the rim and made a pretty solid wreck out of it. I got lucky I guess I just know how to crash. Also that 40+ mph was for about a min, It was a pretty long downhill. I have gone 46 on flat ground drafting behind a bus before, thats pretty scary being a few inches off a giant bus bumper. Pics of the crash last year: http://i224.photobucket.com/albums/dd58/reitzmj/015-1.jpg http://i224.photobucket.com/albums/dd58/reitzmj/011.jpg http://i224.photobucket.com/albums/dd58/reitzmj/002.jpg
