  1. Yeah it's fun to go on the website I posted and spec out a bike, you can get it above 10k pretty easily.
  2. I am guessing that it is much lighter though, the 01 madone is like 17 lbs the 07 my dad has is like 15 and the 2013 is like 13 or something crazy like that. that's over 25% weight difference in 12 years.
  3. As far as parts go, you can get everything you like in OCLV carbon fiber, and a set of wheels can easily get above 2k retail. http://www.nashbar.com/bikes/Product_10053_10052_549746_-1___202356
  4. If that's an honest question, more than most used cars. The bike I ride was about 5k in 2001, the new Trek Madone Models can go above 7k easy if you customize. Whats cool is that bikes guys are a lot like car guys when it comes to saving weight and upgrading parts. We just talk in grams, not lbs. My dad just bought one of these, http://www.trekbikes.com/us/en/bikes/road/race_performance/madone_6_series/ http://www.trekbikes.com/us/en/bikes/road/race_performance/madone_6_series/madone_6_5/# He also has the 2007 and had the 2001 that I have. Basically like in motorcycles, these are the same bikes (minus some extra customization) that the pros ride. Also please don't think I am just bragging about price and buy these bikes for show pieces, my dad rides 20 miles round trip to work each day for the last 25 years, year round as long as no snow and ice on the ground. When I inherited my first car, and 1982 Toyota Cressida in 1998 it had less than 80k miles, my parents bought it new and it was the primary of two cars. I do less riding than him but still ride a few times a week and on weekends when its nice out.
  5. Oh well that explains a lot.
  6. I have been a "retarded cyclist" all my life, and have never been in anyone's "way" so much that it has affected their life significantly. My main point was that it's sad people actually get mad over cyclist being on the roads. Why can't we as a society be more respectful?
  7. Yeah, Balls.... big ones, but I have always said, "you can do whatever you want if you act like you belong and carry your confidence on your shoulders", so to speak. People will not ask what your doing if you act more "powerful/confident than them. Also check this guy out, he snuck into almost every Superbowl and even got on the field multiple times. He even carried the coach off the field in Superbowl 6 http://sportsillustrated.cnn.com/inside_game/magazine/life_of_reilly/news/2002/02/06/life_of_reilly/
  8. Your either a troll or an idiot, when will people realize that the 30 or less seconds you have to slow or wait behind a cyclist makes no difference in your MOTOR powered vehicle. For that matter, disregarding cycling all together, when will people realize that the few seconds you speed ahead of someone just to stop at the next light and have them roll up behind you and maybe not even stop as the light turns green again also will not matter in the scheme of things.
  9. Pretty cool video. http://deadspin.com/5983137/two-savannah-state-students-recorded-themselves-breaking-into-the-super-bowl?utm_source=gizmodo.com&utm_medium=recirculation&utm_campaign=recirculation http://bcove.me/1ib1s767
  10. I would assuming losing 10%-15% on any gift card sale, maybe more on a big one like this.

    Tasty Beer thread

Would anyone be interesting in coming to this years Big Beers and Barley Wines? It's at Montgomery County Fairgrounds in Dayton. Whats cool about this beer fest is that it's still "smaller" in terms of people that know about it. Very friendly and the beer selection is more on the "rare and interesting" side of things. They have some beers that they only have 1/6 Barrel of and open them at 15 min intervals throughout the tasting. It's also a great price for the types of beers you get and of course supports a good cause. Most Beers are over 7% http://www.bigbeersdayton.com/ Look at the beer list, I am sure it will only be better this year. http://www.bigbeersdayton.com/beers/
  12. I might actually have someone who is interested, I have the G25 as mentioned before but he does not have a wheel at all.
  13. Glad you like, your right it's not a "throw" beam, but if your using for tactical you don't want that you want a good even flood to light everything in your path and blind attackers. Sorry to hear you don't use a light more often as this may be overkill for just the shotgun, I use mine when my dog pulls me on the roller blades late at night (less traffic as we usually stay on neighborhood roads) and for biking.
  14. I don't play with stocks at all but I 100% agree with this, I don't see Apple going anywhere unless they create another unique product like the Iphone or Ipod was in it's heyday.
  15. Great bathroom, my personal taste is that I don't like the wall colors and the mirror frame looks very amateurish in comparison to the rest of the work. Just giving honest feedback since you are selling, maybe the picture does not do the mirror justice.
  16. Try it out yet? Like it?
  17. Yes http://www.bluenile.com/ is amazing, plus you don't have to deal with anyone and can do the research to get the best diamond for your needs at an amazing price.
  18. A more USA friendly website. IDK what happened to that other link. http://www.klaruslightusa.com/index-32.html And another great reviewer on youtube. Also you know this bad boy is bright when you shine it on your hand and it still blinds you. You can drive down your street with headlights off and it works just fine for that too.... fyi.
  19. You will love it, make sure you order a good 18650 battery with charger. Or go get two CR123's that will boost the lumens to 750. But they are expensive and die quickly lol. I spent about 3 hours researching before I bought that light and found it to be the best bang for the buck under $100, you can get brighter but it can get quite expensive. I think you will like the build quality too, the two springs inside that hold the battery tight, the anti roll ring that can be flipped to rotated with the lanyard on or non rotational, or taken off completely. Also a confession, the night I got this light in and tested it out, I was slightly drunk and standing on the back porch steps, I also was slightly blind from doing the blinding "test" lol. I slipped and fell off the back steps (only about 3 foot fall) but in the process nailed the light against the rough brick wall of my house. Before I even got up to look at it I was like "shit I just fucked up my brand new light" Turns out I go inside and I had nailed the stainless steel "protection/strike" ring and the only thing wrong was it was a little rougher on one of the protruding edges. NO scratches or damage to the light at all. In short: real world testing, it works lol. I am a high lumen light nerd. Also, point it up into a big tree when you get it, you will be amazed and see why so many LEO's want a light of this caliber.
  20. I agree with this, yes it's a shitty situation, yes they fucked you. But IMO they are fucking you WAY worse by "getting off easy" and not fixing your wife's wedding ring. AND they got another 100 out of you..... fuck that. I would say fix my shit, I don't care how long it takes I want it exactly like it was when I brought it into you to be cleaned and or when I bought it from you. Then when your done I want every dime even if its prorated as of today back from my protection service plans and I WILL be taking my business elsewhere. Not trying to be a dick, I just hate to see big box retailers get over on the "little guys"
  21. also it WILL blind you and make you see spots for 10+ min at 20-30 feet.
  22. Perfect thread I just bought a Klarus XT11 true 600 lumen with a cree U2 led. It's amazing, lights up a whole tree, you can see every branch with detail. It works on guns but not the reason I bought it. http://www.klaruslight.com/plist_show.php?id=2&lge=en I got it for $70 on Amazon.
  23. I am pretty sure half the people in this thread are going to one day get a speed camera ticket in the mail and go WTF?
