  1. I wouldn't expect most any tire in that size/style to last much longer on that vehicle/setup. I would stick with the DWS for the price/performance.
  2. I went from a S7 to S10e (at launch) and its been great. My wifes S7 is on its last leg and Im hoping they drop the price soon as the S11 should be close, if it does Ill get her a S10e as well.
  3. Im thinking about saving a couple hundred bucks and going with the regular billet 7875. It will support more power than what I need. I dont think it will have any advantage under 600hp. I also already have a trans controller so I think Ill keep it and get the holley without trans control. Im pretty set on using the holley as the software is same as I use with the sniper and Ive already learned my way through most of it. Ive never used HPT so I prefer to use what I already know and like.
  4. I figured Id cross post this here for anyone that cares since Ill be posting in on the other truck forum Im part of. The build up and to this point is posted here for anyone that cares to look. http://67-72chevytrucks.com/vboard/showthread.php?t=744443 This summer I was able to put nearly 1k miles on the truck and after quite a few alternations to the tuning on the Sniper, the 396 was running pretty well. I continue to fight some small pre-warm up drive-ability stuff but overall it drives great. But.... its slow... like not 250ci inline 6 slow but its the slowest thing in my small group of cars. It'll power brake a burnout but its pretty lethargic outside of that. Its probably around 350hp maybe? It really needs a converter but I didn't want to buy one knowing it still wasn't gonna satisfy my power craving. Anyway, I decided to follow the hurd and build a turbo LS. I found a L33 locally for $700 with low'ish miles this summer so I went ahead and grabbed it. The L33 is an all aluminum 5.3 with flat top pistons and 799 heads. Originally rated at 310hp. This is a gen3 engine but a few guys mentioned they have the better rods maybe? Im not certain. These past couple weeks I tore the accessories, etc off of it to get started. I flipped the manifolds just to get an idea whether I wanted to use them or buy a turbo manifold. Im not certain one way or another yet. This is a "budget" engine build. Im just swapping the cam and valve springs and leaving everything else internally stock. Lifters probably would have been a good idea but I didn't want to pull the heads. I order a Summit Stg2 turbo cam kit that came with TF valve springs and new valve seals. I checked the pushrod length which was good, so I reinstalled the stockers. Since I dont have access to a TIG, I ordered a front cover with the turbo drain installed already. I have a new balancer coming (cheap) and replaced the front and rear cover, rear main seal, valley cover and lower oil pan gasket. I hate the look of the truck intake manifold so I found these knock off of a knock off dorman intake. Im gonna shave most of the mounts, etc off the top to try and clean it up some. I bought some fuel rails to plumb a return system and a mechanical throttle to work with the Holley Terminator. Im still in process of cleaning up the rest of the engine. I think Ill leave the block and heads alone after cleaning and maybe just paint the valve covers and accessories. I ordered a camaro water pump which moves the outlet towards the drivers side so I dont have to run a big ugly hose across the front of the truck. Im hoping the rest of the build will come together this winter. I need to pull the bbc and the sniper and try and get it sold to fund some more turbo parts. The goal is like 500-550 whp on pump gas. The basics are -VS 78/75 -80 lb snaker eaters -budget 80e converter -Holley Terminator X -A/W intercooler so i dont have to hack up the front grille, etc. Ill update this post as I go along if there's any interest.
  5. How awesome. I love Pittrace. Im sure actually racing there would be even more fun than the HPDE's Ive done there. I tell myself I would love to go "racing" but Im sure I dont want to invest the money and time to actually do it. But props to you and your friends. We watched some spec e30 racing at MidO a few weeks ago and you could tell how much those guys love doing what they do.

Picked up a handle of Weller at Giant Eagle in Reynoldsburg last Saturday. They had several handles and probably 2 cases of 5ths. I didn't look around too much but they seemed to have a pretty good selection. A lot better than my local kroger.
  7. super nice. I remember sitting in one at the Cleve auto show when they first came out and was in love. Do the stock injectors flow enough for e85? or does someone make bigger injectors now?
  8. wow. hindsight is pretty clear but what a dumb way to go fast.
  9. dang, Ive been following her for a long long time.
  10. I pretty much hate every jeep EXCEPT these.. Awesome.
  11. I recently switched from AmFam to Cinci. I got better coverage and saved enough to buy an umbrella policy. The coverage was better and cheaper than what I was quoted through Erie. We've had one claim and was happy with the service we received.
  12. Early to mid 2000's I believe. Ill look at my paperwork. It has a 25 or 26hp Kawasaki in it. Probably not a good candidate for parts at this point just yet. If someone had a couple good wheel motors it'd probably be a running machine.
  13. Those are sweet. Love seeing them (rarely) on the road.
  14. Went down and looked at this Ferris last evening. Put a deposit on it. Its a pretty nice mower. Obviously used but the guy has 3 other Ferris's that he uses and maintains. Idle surges just a bit but Im sure I can figure that out. https://columbus.craigslist.org/grd/d/laurelville-ferris-zero-turn/6930367413.html So Ill be selling the bobcat if anyone is interested in a small project. Its a great HD mower just needs some work obviously.
  15. Just a small update. Turns out the system won't bleed unless you're at roughly 75% throttle or higher. So it sucked down more fluid and bleed out some error. I was hoping that fixed it as with the mower jacked up everything seemed to be working fine. But, when you lower it down the right side doesn't have enough torque to move the mower around and the left side is grabbing randomly and make all sorts of noise. Ugh. Im torn between ordering 2 wheel motors and another pump (roughly $1600) or trying to find another mower..
  16. Thanks, Ill keep dickin' with it. Before I order more overpriced parts.
  17. I can't really find anything specific to bleeding the system. The manual doesn't really show anything at all, aside from draining and refilling. I filled the system, turned the relief valve out, ran the pumps, turned the valve in, ran the system forward and backward several times. Im not sure what else I can do? edit. I found this It was pretty much what I was doing but I guess Ill go at it again. I was really only doing one side at a time, not sure that would make a difference but Im not out anything trying it again.
  18. I have an older Bob-Cat 61" zero turn with less than 1500 hours on it. Last weekend the right hydraulics started chattering really bad. In just a couple of laps the pump completely locked up on it. The pump self imploded and passed a bunch of metal through the system. Great! I went through and flushed everything I could including the lines, cooler and tank. So I picked up a new pump at Buckeye yesterday and installed it last night. The right hand wheel will turn but doesn't have any torque. So I figure the wheel motor is junk as well. Whats weird is the left hand wheel is problematic as well now. It will only engage when I get the right side wheel moving. But once it decides to start moving it has plenty of torque and will move forward and backward without any issues. But if I pull both levers back to "park" and lower the mower down the left side just sits there and moans and groans. I can't figure out how two separate systems can be "related" in the way they operate. The cooling side is the only connection between the 2 but the pressure side of the pump to wheel motors is completely separate. Any tips or ideas? I can't really justify putting $2500 worth of pumps and motors on this mower.
  19. I feel ya. I can't seem to sit still or be content doing nothing. I do get bored but only really because it feels money is the limiting factor for everything I want to do, create, finish, etc.
  20. Found a pretty good deal on an aluminum 5.3 (L33) for the truck. Just gonna start collecting parts for now. Depending on cash flow, Ill either do a turbo cam and valve springs and install in with Holley Terminator and drive it for a year or do the single turbo build all at once this winter.
  21. Is a wifi door lock that much easier to use than a keypad lock? Im all for tech but my keypad locks are SUPER simple and quick to gain access. I bought a cheap one for my detached garage thats even built into the knob.
  22. Yeah, pretty much. I was using a progressive linkage setup that is supported by holley but I removed it and and started over with the tune and everything is a lot better. I have a ton of time in it but it drives pretty good now. Its definitely not an install and forget it if you want it to act like a modern vehicle. Ive pretty much self taught my way through "tuning" it with the holley guide and forums. If I go through with the LS swap Ill continue with the holley setup. Either a Dominator or the Terminator setup. I considered doing a bigger BBC build and use my existing EFI stuff but the cost to build a 600hp engine is as much as a sloppy build and it'll make those turbo noises I love. Let me know if you want more info or help.
  23. Having 4 cars is dumb. Washed this and my other 2 cars plus the wifes. Why do I do that too myself? And I still want more... And now that the truck is running good I should throw it all out and start collecting parts for a single turbo 5.3l right?

    Home Security

Tim, do you have your cameras on a schedule? Im still trying to decide what to do with mine. Its a catch 22 for me as in I dont want to just let it run all the time because then my phone is blowing up with motion notifications, but I'm also worried Im gonna miss something if Im not home when I typically would be and its turned off.
