  1. My dd 96 Honda 5 speed with 260k miles has blown out all the shifter bushings. It was really bad until we replaced 2 of the bushings. It still kinda sucks though. We used the Prothane shifter stabilizer kit with the normal 2 bushings. The shifter will still swing left and right about 3 inches with the car in gear. Any and all searches I have done only come up with those same 2 bushings we have already replaced. Does anyone know what the other two bushings are called or how to find them online? This is the kit we installed. https://www.amazon.com/Prothane-8-1602-Shifter-Stabilizer-Bushing/dp/B000NSL6HK/ref=sr_1_1?_encoding=UTF8&qid=1573994370&s=automotive&sr=1-1&vehicle=1996-59-752-113--1--5-5752-1441-1-1---6&vehicleName=1996+Honda+Civic Anyone dealt with this before and know how to solve this? Thanks!

  3. I did it years ago a Harley. Cross your fingers for good weather. We did it in late July. The coast was fogged in all day long. COLD wet air coming off the ocean. I FROZE my ass off. We could hear the ocean, but we almost never saw it all day long.
  4. https://mountvernonnews.com/local-news/2019/10/11/pacemakers-closing-its-gates/?fbclid=IwAR2pJa4haIM7_gVCVz0bu5sRla4hDTJ9DdLUjgg-J2PFqNT2qXaL2ao87m0 I tried to cut and paste the article but something on the page is blocking it.
  5. I couldn't make it on the 12th, but the 19th is a definite possibility.
  6. I can understand how they would be irritating to drive with your vision being blocked. But for pure badassness nothing beats a huge blower poking through the hood. It's always been a dream of mine to have a car with a giant roots blower.
  7. Thank you all for the compliments. The show is a HUGE pain in the ass, but the fact that people come out and enjoy it really helps motivate me to keep going. Right now we're working on the debriefing and I'm trying to do a brain dump of everything into Google docs for next year. Eventually I'll have details ironed out and plans documented so the show planning and execution will go smoother. I'm always that idiot who assumes I'll remember details and then forgets. If I spread out the work load over the course of the year it should be a lot easier than trying to pull it all together in a couple months. We're already planning for next years show on October 3rd 2020. Hopefully we'll continue to grow the show. The ultimate goal is to fund raise enough that we don't need fundraisers for the clubs for the rest of the year. I doubt we'll ever get that big, but a boy can hope, right? This will be my last year as a student club adviser (I didn't want the job anyhow, and successfully avoided it for 13 years before I failed). Despite not being an adviser I will continue to run the show for the foreseeable future. The show is developing nicely I think and this year I want to grow the sponsorship piece. This year we had enough sponsorship money to cover the costs of the show (DJ, trophies, etc...) So it was nice to know that if the show was a bust we were still covered. I think there is a lot more out there though and I know I can't depend on the Army to keep putting up monster sponsorship donations. Hopefully in the next couple months I'll have a sponsorship package available to send out so we can start pounding the pavement in January and trying to pump up that part of the show. We'll be looking for everything from raffle prizes all the way up to partner level donations. As for the show we're planning some small changes based on feedback from this year. I need to convene my committee and see what they think, but I'm planning on adding a kit car class, and a hotrod class. If we could get a company like FirePunk diesel on board I would probably add a diesel truck class as well. Again, thanks to everyone who came out for the show. Thanks especially to Anthony for helping to judge the show. I hope to see you all out next year.
  8. Great! Haven's seen you in a while, it'll be good to at least get a chance to say Hi. I have a student who is gaga about Japanese cars, and I was telling him a little bit about your collection. Awesome! We have Midwest Motorsports Media there at the show as the official photographer, but we can always use more photos and coverage. Jeff Pangborn will be the one covering the show.
  9. The biggest problem I have with the site is that the owner and it's hosting service/banking service are Canadian. Everything is an international transaction. Glad you were able to get it sorted out. We appreciate the support.
  10. We'll miss you this year. I'll put you on the schedule for next year though.
  11. Don't think you can register more than 1 car at a time. I'll mention that to the site owner. You can have multiple cars in your "garage" attached to your account. At least that way you can register them easier.
  12. I've got both of your registrations! Thanks! We're at 23 registered! That's more pre-registrations than we've ever had.
  13. Saw your registration come through today. Thanks! See you out here on Saturday.
  14. I know that 90's was empty. Nicky moved his S10 from Modern Pickup to 90's so he would take the win. I think Vintage Import, and at least one of the motorcycle classes was also empty.
  15. We are in need of raffle prizes for the show as well. If any local businesses would be interested in donating something for the raffle please let me know. You will get documentation about the donation from the school for the tax deduction. Thanks!
  16. Me too. Wags and I are finishing up the EFI setup on my car. It's already set a new personal best for me, so it should be just minor tuning from here on out.
  17. Registration will be open until 11:00. You do not have to get your car judged, but we would appreciate everyone registering (it's a fund raiser). If you don't want your car judged, just don't put out your dash card. Nobody will see the scores anyhow. Last year we did have a couple classes that nobody entered. Anyone interested in judging, the help is appreciated. You can have a car in the show, just not in the class you are judging.
  18. I have done a dedicated space for CR the past 2 years, I'll be happy to do it again. Really I would do it for any club that requested it. I'll have my jegs popup out in the lot with the racecar under it. I'll put the CR area right there around it, so people can grab some shade under the popup if they want.
  19. Nope, his boy is in love with it. It's the new RACECAR!
  20. Cool! Judging will start at 11:00, we're planning a judges meeting around 10:00 in my computer lab. Just ask the DJ where to find us and he'll point you to the back door of the lab.
  21. Right now we have the following Sponsors The US Army Columbus State Community College Almendingers Sawmill Hurricane Productions Midwest Motorsports Media Mosley's Meat Market We still have room for more sponsors. We are accepting cash donations for sponsorship or donations of products that we can auction or raffle off. Again, all profits go directly to the students. I make no extra money for running this, and the same goes for my partner who runs the craft show. We are volunteering our time just like everyone else.
  22. Coming up in a few weeks. We are in need of judges for the show. It's a pretty easy job (just ask Clay). We have Pre-registration open now at: https://carshowpro.com/event/424 $12 to pre-register and $15 on the day of the show. All the proceeds go to the students at the school. I know this isn't a car show heavy crowd, but it's still a good time.
  23. Ditto for me. One of my goals is to learn to design things this winter. I've done drafting and CAD, but not much 3D.
  24. I thought the higher price on my truck might make a little difference on Craigslist filtering out the idiots. My $5 got me 3 hits, eventually wanting me to purchase their 3rd party bullshit vehicle history report. Craigslist was a waste of time. Facebook marketplace was the eventual success.
  25. There are a lot of articles online how to do a parasitic battery drain test. I don't imagine the test would be significantly different from one car to another. The fix on the other hand... I'd probably start by making sure that no lights are staying on when they should not be. An example would be my old Impala SS. There was a level switch that would turn the trunk light on and off when you opened and closed it. When the switch went bad the trunk light would stay on and run the battery down. Anyhow, here is an example of how to run a test: https://axleaddict.com/auto-repair/car-batterydrain
