  1. This project is absolutely unreal! What kind of technology will you be using to keep this on the ground? I don't think simple gravity will be enough.
  2. Beautiful man, just beautiful. I'm looking forward to seeing how it all works out.
  3. The Delteq system was iffy. I won't be spinning high enough RPMs to need the coil packs. So we decided to go back to stock. Also, I heard Delteq is having problems with customer support and replacement parts.
  4. I like Col-Weld, they did some block and head work for me. But they won't do any performance work. No porting or anything other than restoration type work. After Col-Weld got done with my heads I took them to Eric. I should have taken them to him first off the bat.

I'm still on the hunt for ICM and coil brackets, if anyone has one laying around I'd be happy to buy them from you.
  6. I had Eric Grimes do my heads and the work was excellent. He has a machine shop beside his house where he works evenings. PM me and I'll get you his info if you want. He is located near I-70 and Wilson Rd. intersection. ,Rick
  7. I'll need mine tuned once the engine gets broken in and I'm right around the corner from you.
  8. Heya guys. I need a hand. I'll post pictures of the build when I get a chance, but I'm at school right now and don't have access. I know I should be posting this in the trading section, but I guess I don't have enough posts because it won't let me start a new thread. What I need is an ICM bracket with the heat sink fins. I have a new ICM and a new COIL, but when the motor got converted to the Delteq system those brackets got lost. Since I'm converting back to a stock type ignition I need them now. You can see them in these pictures. http://shbox.com/1/coil_loc.jpg and http://shbox.com/coil/helmsdiagram.gif If anyone can help out I would appreciate it. If it matters (I don't think it does), the motor is a 95 LT1 with aluminum heads. I think the brackets are the same regardless of year or car.
  9. I've seen a couple S10s that lost fuel pressure when the ground wire for the fuel pump rusted off or broke.
  10. I'm sure you can plant the LSX in an S10 without too many problems. My question is if your going to strip of all the new school fuel injection/ignition stuff, then why use an LSX base. I would assume that for what you'll have in it when you're done you could get an older style setup for less that would make the same power. Plus it would be easier to find S10 compatible parts like headers and stuff. I was looking into droping an LT1 into an S10 until my Z came along. There is a site S10V8.com that was well worth it for the information you can get. If I remember right you have to make a $1 donation to the site to be allowed access. Small investment to keep the douchbag spammers away.
  11. One of the kids at my school had a license plate something like MNMNMMN , drove me nuts trying to read it sitting still in the auto tech lab. If the camera is at all fuzzy they would have a heck of a time figuring it out.
  12. Billy beat me to it, but could it be the fuel filter?
  13. I'm with Not Brian .... not a fan of the bling, but the under hood goodies are sweet.
  14. I'm new here, but I wanted to wish Brandon good luck. I don't know anyone involved, but I hate to see lives ruined or lost. Especially out of stupidity. I am very curious to see how this will play out in the courts. In defense of the prosecutors, it is their obligation to enforce the laws. Even the stupid ones. As a former juror I hope that his jury will see that he did take part in an illegal activity, but does not deserve everything he is getting. (this is assuming they decide he is guilty of anything at all.)
  15. Sorry, old post I know, but I just saw it. There is a guy on Craigslist selling a set of aluminum LT1 heads from and F-body. He's asking $150. They are stock, but complete. Might be a nice addition to replace the cast iron ones.
  16. The wheels are American Racing's Torque Thrust II. I have 17x9.5 in the front 17x11 rear. Tires are Sumitomo, 275 40 17 front, 315 35 17 rear. Not supposed to be good for racing (wheels are heavy, tires not sticky) but I think they look awesome. I'm planning on picking up some drag radials for the stock wheels for racing.
  17. Something about a chick in a bikini with leather chaps yah just gotta love .... they smell like a new truck.
  18. That was the machine .... this is me. I'm the ugly one. http://i453.photobucket.com/albums/qq260/01fxst/RicksGirlies.jpg
  19. My normal reaction to a demand I'm not expecting. Okay here's the car http://i453.photobucket.com/albums/qq260/01fxst/Z28.jpg
  20. So, if my intro post sucks I'm screwed .... no pressure at all huh? Couple years ago I bought a 95 Z28 6-speed, clean, original and started making plans. We had some fun with it last year putting in a new exhaust, ignition, intake, gearing, suspension work, etc... She was running awsome. We got greedy and tried to do a cam swap on a limited time table and something got fowled (to put it politely). Never had it running well over the summer. Pulled the pan this fall and found metal shavings galore. So we're getting ready to pull the motor for a rebuild. To make a long story longer I figure I've got a camaro that can get towed across the finish line in about 2 minutes. Anyhow, I'm looking forward to doing some racing once the new motor is finished. Hope you like the post. Then again I really couldn't care less. ,Rick
