Cool, That's the feedback I'm looking for. The ratings on Amazon for that one is a little troubling (14% 1 star reviews). Glad to hear it's working well for you. The look of that universal one on their site is great. I need to sort out exactly what size I can fit in my dash. What is the boot time like? I'm reading that the first boot takes 30ish seconds, but after that it's more like 2 or 3.

No, you're not being "that guy". I'm not really sure what I'm looking for, so I appreciate the clarification. I've not had the opportunity to work with either, so I appreciate the feedback on the Android Auto units. I've been looking at units on Amazon and the feedback on the pure android ones is all over the place. Since I am a technology guy I probably have a little higher tolerance for imperfections in first generation tech than some. I may just take a stab in the dark and try one of them out. I feel like what I'm looking for is the equivalent of a giant smart watch that integrates with the cars audio system and has a radio and/or DVD built in. The truck is in very good condition and I would prefer whatever my choice to be a clean install that looks factory.

Yeah, $800 is a little rich for my blood. I'm really just looking for something that will allow a backup camera and make it easier to use my phone for hands free and nav. I guess I was hoping to find something in the $300-$400 range. I know that's low, but after buying the truck and the other mods I want to do, plus a rebuild of the racecar motor and trans ...

Since I picked up the new (to me) Avalanche, I'm in the market to put a double din touch screen head unit in. I'm not an audiophile, so I don't particularly care about driving a big thump thump system. I would like to have a backup cam, and then something to take the nav functionality from my phone and put it on a screen on the dash. Making hands free calls and texts, the usual stuff. Does anybody have any input on the android head units? I am under the assumption that a stereo that runs android as it's operating system would provide the best integration with my phone/google maps/etc... I'm not interested in anything that would come with it's own cell plan, so using data from my phone, or Wifi when parked close enough to the house would be awesome.

If I recall it's in the high teens city and mid 20s on the highway. I haven't checked it in quite a while.

Bump, just went up on Crazy list.

Claimed!

Nope, not this one. 6 foot bed. If your concern is sheets of plywood there are notches molded into the bed liner for 2x8 dividers. A sheet of plywood will ride on them no problem. Or the sheet will fit between the wheel wells I believe.

Engine is due for a timing belt. I can probably get it done here at school for a pretty fair price. Suspension ... All the small stuff was replaced with the frame (sway bar end links, etc...) The truck rides great as long as the tires are aired up properly. One tire has a slow leak.

Bump, fun summer cruiser. Drivers seat is like a Lazyboy.

Bump. V8, 4x4, trailer hitch, new frame (All the hard parts attached to the frame would have broken in the replacement process, so they are all new as well.)

Bump, really just want this gone.

Sold! Lock it up!

As long as it's not being sold to a land developer ...

Just reran the KBB value and it's dropped a little. Not sure what happened in the last few weeks. Lowering the price to $4,500.

Hopefully this works out smoothly. I'm about 1 week behind you.

I'm really getting rolling clearing shtuff out of my way. I have the original rear end from my 95 Camaro just taking up room in my shop. 4.10 gears with a stud girdle. Standard 10 bolt posi. Does not have brakes, we pulled them off to put onto the 9" under the car now. Does come with stock axles. Since I have to put a price I'll take a stab in the dark and say $200. If that's too high please feel free to make me an offer.

Not on Crazylist. I messaged him a little bit ago. Thanks for the heads up Bruce, if he buys it I'll owe you a beer.

Yeah. This one isn't even mine, this is my wife's truck. She found a replacement last summer, but we kept this one till I could find mine. Really this is a solid truck. When they replaced the frame they also had to replace all the smaller hard parts that attach to the frame and broke when they removed them. It ain't pretty, but it's a great truck for someone.

Bump. $4700

Char Broil Commercial Series gas grill. 3 Burners and a side burner. Drip pan is gone. Does not come with Gas tank. Grates were replaced a few years back. Thermometer is borked. One of the burners has a real flare up hot spot. Igniter only works for the side burner. If you can bend some sheet metal making a new drip tray would be easy. The thermometer is an easy replacement. The burner would be a little more difficult, I'd probably just block some of the holes at that end of the burner. Grill was over $600 new. I'll take a 4 pack of some good microbrew. http://www.columbusracing.com/forums/picture.php?albumid=590&pictureid=8790

If it was going to be a long term project car for me I'd probably 5.3 twin turbo swap it. There's about 20 cubic feet of unused space in the engine bay.

A few years back my taxes got more complicated and I switched from TT to using an accountant. She went over my previous years with TT and did not find anything significant that they missed or anything alarming. I was always very nervous even using TT. For peace of mind it might be worth running this years past your accountant and seeing if they can figure out why TT has you getting 2.5 times the usual return. That is a red flag for me that something isn't right. Better to spend a few bucks on an accountant now than 25 times that on the IRS later.
