Love the springfield XDM series. One of my carry guns is an XDM .40 Compact. Like it cause it has the extended mag for a full size grip or a shorter one for carry.

I think you will find you can go into most places. Really besides government buildings, churches, other obvious places like that there are very few places I have found I haven't been able to carry. I have the LC9 and love it. Carry it more than my XDM because of comfort but would and do trust either with my life. LCP is junk. Terrible sights and as people say feels like a cannon especially for such a smaller round. LC9 is very comfortable to shoot and I have pretty big hands.
