  2. With as cheap as the PSA and similar uppers have been getting it's pretty silly to buy anything used unless you get a steal on it. I'd gladly pay an extra $50 for a PSA upper over an Olympic. The mag and ammo might add $15 of value so you're on the right track there.
  3. I'd say that's a little overpriced honestly. I have a very similar upper I'd be thrilled to get that much out of. I wouldn't pay more than $350 for it personally, but for $400 it wouldn't be TOO bad of a deal.

On a related I have a few uppers I'd be willing to part with.

  4. It's a 1:176,000,000 million chance. Forbes.com had an article the other day about how if you were the only one playing (this drawing since its so high) it would make financial sense to actually play all 176 million combinations, you would win and triple your money.

Wait, perhaps I'm having a brain fart here or something. How much is a lotto ticket, and what would the payout need to be to buy that many lotto tickets and still break even (after taxes derp)?

  5. Yes that is the one. I forgot the company. The condition of the paint on that one is crap too, and he won't drop the coin to get it properly corrected. :fuuuu:

    What a waste.

You'd think getting a good paintjob would be nothing compared to the horrid regular maintenance on an F40.

  6. The prices on the garand could vary widely depending on the condition and if it's a specific maker (and what parts it has etc.). Ballpark $500 for a beat up one to $900+ for a very nice correct rifle. Look at the CMP website for conditions and values to give you an idea.

For the others go to gunbroker and look for values to check against armslist. If you don't want to spend the time on it just take them somewhere to have them appraised.

  7. I've been at a few crappy small businesses where just about anyone with half a brain can oversee those with only a quarter of a brain. Of course the small places don't usually pay well or have benefits. Go get a job at chick fil-a or canes as a shift supervisor then give me free food out of appreciation. Deal?
  8. The back of the boat where the motor hooks on. If your transom is rotten out (on fiberglass boats it will look fine because the wood is inside) you can break your boat which would be pretty bad on the water. It's not like you can bolt a sheet of plywood to it and fix it. Well, not exactly anyway
  9. I would never touch a boat with a bad transom. I know someone that picked up a few decent boats for nothing and both had transom problems (rotten out). Every shop quoted a fortune to fix and said it wasn't worth doing. They were both fiberglass boats if that matters.

    Might be okay for parts?

  10. Supposedly a local girl was found dead in the barn next to mine back in the 1970s, and they suspected a ranch hand did it but there was never a conviction. Heard that from a Marysville Chamber of Commerce employee. Never had any hauntings but if you leave certain windows and doors open they'll slam with a vengeance. GHOST SCIENCE!

Usually my encounters are things disappearing then reappearing in plain sight soon after. I just blame the aliens, those crafty little fuckers.
