Yeah, I remember reading an article about that a while back. My parents, (who grew up there), told me back in their day, it was a booming place. Everyone came from all over OH for one of the many good factory jobs. Unfortunately, the only ashtabula I have really known is the one that looks like every other small OH town. You go downtown and it's like your on a set of the walking dead. It's creepy. But, like I said before, some of the best hunting and fishing I have ever experienced in my 29's yrs on this earth have been up there too. I think it will continue to go downhill though, especially when people my grandparent's age are gone. It's like all the kid's of the parent's that migrated there a few generations ago just don't leave...but it's not like it's a great place to live...

I remember seeing that mall being built. I love hunting and fishing in Ashtabula, but outside of those activities, there is nothing else to do there, and the few remaining people that live there scare me. A rather stagnant gene pool in those parts. Pshhh. Unlike most men in this country, I actually love my wife.

I asked them what the law was regarding legal blade lengths that I could carry concealed. None of them knew the answer.

Have had it for over a year now, have done 2 trips from OH to DFW and back and put about 1300mi/mo on my truck, no tickets yet. I haven't noticed it picking them up at extreme distances, but it has definitely picked them up over hills and around bends. Almost every cop down here uses KA band. K and X are always businesses and such. With laser, my experience has been if it detects it, your already busted. Fortunately, cops running laser here are relatively few and far between. I just like driving and my KA band goes off, and i'm like, "where the heck is this guy?" Then I come up over a hill and sitting in a parking lot off to the side of the road set back a little bit is an LEO just waiting. Ticket avoided.

LOL. I am not saying meds are totally unnecessary, just that they are overused in our society as a band aide, this being one prime example. I totally agree meds have their time and place. Sounds like Mowgli could have used some last night.

Laser maybe, radar, not so much. I can't tell you how many times my passport 9500ix has picked up radar on the other side of a hill and given me ample time to slow down.

Our educational system is such that they want conformity. One personality/learning type is "normal" and the rest is "abnormal" and those kids need to be on drugs. FK THAT! Kid has extra energy? Ohh, there must be something wrong with him, put him on drugs. Johnny doesn't learn the same way that Bobby does? Put Johnny on drugs. Instead of embracing different personality types and energy levels and putting the work in to actually reach everybody, we just drug the kids to make life "easier", then we wonder why all these kids are shooting up schools, (and BTW, a majority of those school shooters, have prescribed drugs in their system." Its the laziness of the adults/parents in this country that is causing these issues. No one wants to discipline and teach, everyone wants to coddle, drug, and be their kid's friend. Instead of seeing a hyper kid, understanding his environment, how he perceives it, and constructively directing that energy, we pump them full of chemicals. Stupid.

Pulled 6000lbs this weekend from Columbus to DFW through the Ozarks. 15mpg and no problems. I was happy.

My Ecoboost just pulled 6000lbs 1200mi through the ozarks like a bauce. Jus sayin...
